Why is the White House so different than any other direct hit from a nuclear bomb? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 01:24 PM PDT The Glowing Sea and Vault 87 still give the player intense amounts of radiation even 200 years after the blasts. Why is it that the White House gives such a relatively low amount of radiation in comparison? [link] [comments] |
Where were the initial ground zero sites in the United States? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 07:21 PM PDT I'm curious because I think it would be great for a new game to be focused primarily on the cities that were the first hit, or a major city, like how Fallout 3 had DC. Carol mentioned that the West Coast got hit before DC. There's a weird colonial vibe going on in all the Fallout games, be nice if we could see the somewhere like LA or NYC in a new title instead of middle of nowhere cities lol, that have an educational tone to it. I especially liked visiting New York in Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, after it was shuttered as the Hiroshima of that timeline. I think it would be epic to play as a ghoul through the cities that got completely devastated from the Nuclear Holocaust. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jun 2021 05:46 AM PDT The NCR in Camp Searchlight turned into ghouls very quickly, while the Children of Atom living right by a nuclear submarine dont turn into ghouls, it's a bit weird, also weird is how people dont die from cancer (we know cancer exists in the Fallout series)? sorry if that was three questions instead of one :P [link] [comments] |
Did the Enclave still democratically elect it's president? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 08:24 PM PDT The Enclave obviously spent a lot of time isolated from the rest of the wasteland before the events of Fallout 2 and so obviously would have needed several different presidents throughout their time before they lost the oil rig. My only question is how would they have been chosen? Did it function as a democracy with elections among Enclave members and term limits for the president? [link] [comments] |
How would you even defeat a deathclaw ? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 12:35 PM PDT So I get that gameplay wise the player character should be able to kill anything with a high enough level and equipment. But lore-wise is there any conceivable way to kill a deathclaw other than being decked out in full power armor with a mini-gun, or by attacking it with a large group of people? Would badass but ultimately human characters like Boone, Danse, Kellogg or any of the player characters throughout the series be able to take down this monstrosity with a gun, stimpaks, some explosives, and a whole lot of determination ? How dangerous enemies in wastelandreally are? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 11:33 AM PDT Imagine a supermutant charging you with a rebar club and ripping you out of your power armor then crushing your helmet like a plastic water bottle or multpile roaches swarming you as you freeze in fear and slowly get reduced to a pile of bones Lorewise or real life wise i guess how dangerous are the enemies and which would scare you the most as in like being afraid of a harmless spider that you know you can easily kill but just send shivers down your spines Rad roaches?Crazed drug addict?Fire ants?Lake lurks?Cannibals? Me personally I would be scared of the yao guai since I get nightmares of bears irl [link] [comments] |
How come we don't see the BoS with X-01 power armor? Posted: 16 Jun 2021 05:37 PM PDT After the events of Fallout 3 and even after 2, why isn't the most powerful power armor technology being used? Surely the brotherhood would've salvaged the X-01 from dead enclave soldiers and at the very least reverse engineered it [link] [comments] |
