| one part of fallout new vegas that i feel 3 did better in: repairing equipment Posted: 22 May 2021 03:02 PM PDT i don't see anyone talk about this, mainly because this is minor overall, but this is something that always gets me when playing NV, and that it is too easy to keep things in good condition. the early-game equipment is common enough with the convicts or powder gangers that by around the time you hit novac or even the mojave outpost, your equipment (at least in my experience) is almost always in good condition. this is because the equipment dropped by enemies can be used to repair your own, with no limit to how far you can repair it. i feel that this not makes degradation almost a complete non-issue. in FO3, you could repair guns, but only past a certain threshold related to your repair skill. i believe that this would be a better system, as it A: makes repair a more valuable skill, outside of skill checks and crafting, B: makes repair vendors more useful, as they now can offer something you might not be able to get yourself, and C: makes degradation a more present threat, as you can't just consume guns to make yours better. Since we'll there was a entire casino of cannibals and even if it was because they ate very little because they were trying to hide that they were cannibals. And I distinctly remember there being an npc somewhere near the capital I wanna say in a small building. It was a tall character in a full body cloak about the height of a death claw standing straight up and I think it had the idle sounds of a deathclaw and showed the tips of horns under the hood. Am I the only one who saw this or am I remembering wrong? This has been bothering me recently and can't find anything on it. [link] [comments] |

| A Friend (Legendary Alpha Deathclaw in Old Gullet Sinkhole) Posted: 22 May 2021 04:02 PM PDT So I saw a post a while back about a friendly deathclaw in Old Gullet Sinkhole. First run by, it wasn't a nice one. But about 30 levels or so later, I stumbled upon the place again and met a Friend. Edit: Later testing also showed that he wasn't stuck or "broken". When I lured a glowing stingwing nearby, he went ballistic. But he still wasn't hostile to me. | I want to get into making my own mods. Posted: 22 May 2021 05:57 PM PDT My wife had recently handed her old PC to me in favor of a laptop. Anyway, even all the back to FO3 days, I wanted to make my own stories in the game and with the creation kit, I think I may have a real shot. I'm not a computer guy, so I can't for certain, but I am absolutely interested in learning how to do it. As for what I'd do, I've always wanted to craft an actual enclave remnants tale in FO4. If unoctium and dogtooth would be fine with me messing around with their x-02, I'd like to delve deeper into it and actually make a quest around it like CC's own mod. Add my own skin to it with individual and PERSONAL touches. Something to really stand out in the crowd, put some ammo bags on their, strap a mini nuke to arm and write "with love" next to it or something! [link] [comments] |

I placed a medium generator, a power pylon, connected the wires, and placed the lamps on the ground and the bulbs on the roof get nothing happened. I tried the same thing in pre made houses and it worked. Help [link] [comments] |

| The institute still existing even when I destroyed it with the BOS Posted: 22 May 2021 08:28 PM PDT I play modded FO4. The mods I have installed for FO4 are "cheat terminal" and "better road maps". I destroyed the institute with the BOS. Today I got Curious and I fast traveled to the institute with the cheat terminal mod. It loaded me right into the institute like it wasn't blown to bits at all. But there weren't any NPC's. When I did this on my Xbox the institute was blown to bits and spawned me right above the destruction. Anyone's thoughts? [link] [comments] |

| An alternative to vehicles in Fallout Posted: 22 May 2021 05:49 PM PDT Now, at first I was going to talk about horses but then I double-checked and apparently horses really and truly are extinct in the Fallout world. And that's a darn shame. But it got me thinking, just because horses are gone that doesn't mean using other remaining animals for transportation is out of the question right? We know that some animals survived in mutated forms like the Brahmin and the Radstag. Would it be out of the question for someone in the Fallout world to find a way to control and ride Yaoi Guais? I mean, in Far Cry you can ride Bears and Sabretooth tigers and we have old stereotypes of Ancient Era Warriors riding giant bears into combat. Heck, imagine soldiers or raiders riding around on Radstags or whatever the Fallout version of a mutated Moose would be like. Personally, I'd like to see folks riding around on big Mutant Rhinos or Elephants but I know those would be impossible to find in the US unless they were descended from Zoo animals. Picture Minutemen in Fallout 4 Riding around on trained Radstags doing their patrols or NCR Cavalry on Bighorners. Wasn't there a concept of Legion chariots being pulled around by Molerats? I want to get a set of bobble heads to go in our new house, I'm a teacher and I already have an intelligence vault boy, that was easy, but she is a vet and I was wondering if anyone knew where I might find a medicine vault girl bobblehead.
