How devastating to Lyon’s Brotherhood was the secession of the outcasts?

We know the outcasts left the citadel, taking personnel and advanced tech but how big of a blow was this? We constantly hear about the lack of manpower the brotherhood has in the region so would this splintering be an absolute crisis? Also do we have an idea of how big the outcasts were, as in was it a small splinter group or a large chunk of Lyon's forces that left?

How strict is the BOS on technology

What are their limits? Are weapons like fat man, gattling Lazer, and power armor being confiscated if people are found with them, or are they just against stuff like nukes and synths?

How many and of what type of missiles were dropped?

    Posted: 15 May 2021 02:25 PM PDT

I remember seeing a YouTube video about this, if fallout could technically happen given the amount of bombs and the explosion radius they all had, but I couldn't find it so I'll ask here, do we know how many bombs were dropped? If so, what was the explosion radius of them that caused the entirety(as we know it) of the US to be destroyed, and were Canada and Mexico affected by those missile strikes?

Why are there so many feral ghouls in Morgantown?

    Posted: 15 May 2021 11:39 AM PDT

As far as I know, Appalachia wasn't hit directly by any nukes during the Great War nor was there any other major sources of radiation (like a damaged power plant or a radiation bomb). There are so many in Morgantown that the people that lived there after the war set up makeshift bridges and parkour areas near the monorail to get access to the roofs to avoid them. Also, since the Responders' base in the airport is so close to the town, you would think that they would have diverted some resources to exterminating or at least driving off the ferals for safety reasons.

Not to mention, Morgantown doesn't even seem like the usual place that ghouls live since many can be found just laying out in the open. Usually feral ghouls like to live in dark areas where they will be left alone. Even the Whitespring Golf course club makes more sense (after all, little to nothing will disturb them and they are safe there provided they don't provoke the robot staff) than a wide open town with few places. Eventually, wouldn't the ferals just migrate to a more suitable habitat like most other animals would?

The only reason I can think of for why they would still be there 26 years after the war (besides Bethesda deciding to put them there so there would be an enemy for the players to fight) would possibly be because the ferals partially remember living in Morgantown before they lost their minds. We have seen hints of something like this in other games. Like in Fallout 4, how the player can have a random encounter with their feral ghoulified former neighbors who managed to stay together even 210 years after the war.

Why were the brotherhood and Enclave not on same side?

    Posted: 15 May 2021 09:38 AM PDT

One ws born from the old world government while the other was born from the military that served that government. You'd think the Enclave would've tried to get into contact with as many military facilities as possible and bring them under their control for continuity of government
