Is the 10mm pistol in FO4/76 the same as the 10mm pistol in FO3/NV?

To me, it looks like the 10mm pistol got a new coat of paint to reflect the transition from Gamebryo engine (Xbox 360) to Creation engine (Xbox One). The old 10mm pistol still exists as the Long Barrel configuration.

For the longest time, the wiki has classified the FO4/76 appearance as a separate weapon - citing an error-filled terminal as the source of the "10mm combat pistol" designation.

I have put together a short essay on the wiki talk page documenting why I think these should be considered the same weapon. Please chime in here or on the wiki if you wsnt to add your own input.

I'm also interested in feedback on our current policy on cross-game appearances compared to other fandoms. For reference, here is how the BFG is handled on the DOOM wiki. How can we at Nukapedia be doing a better job?

    Edit:

Before you say "hurr well its there on the 10mm pistol page," I moved the Deliverer, Chinese Pistol and Zip Gun to their own pages last night. This was apparently an overview page of everything that used 10mm ammo instead of, you know, guns called "10mm pistol."

I'm the richest man in DC and I want to go to Boston for reasons. How do I get there in style and how much caps, water, ammo is it going to cost and how long will it take? Think I can just buy that guy with the riverboat I heard about?

Homebrew Tabletop RPG Fallout Brazil Scenario

    Posted: 09 Feb 2021 07:35 PM PST

Hi everyone! first off i'm new to this subreddit, and joined in to ask some questions. I'm working on a homebrew Fallout Tabletop RPG Scenario, sharing the same world as Fallout, but set on Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. So i got a couple questions to awnser about the Pre-War Fallout world, and also on the Post-War world. Keep in mind that Lorewise, I intend to go more with the Fallout 1, 2, And New Vegas vibes than 3, 4, and 76. And also keep in mind this will be just a scenario to play with my friends, please don't sue me Bethesda.

    Pre-War Questions

    - Is there a canon stating the political/social economic state of Brazil in the Pre-War world, or i can have all the creative freedom i want to build my own Pre-War scenario?

    - Is Brazil capable of atomic power on the Pre-War world? What "side" did Brazil pick in the War?

    - Did Vault-Tec operate in Brazil? Or i have the liberty to create my own Vault Company?

    Post-War Questions

    - How the climate works in the Post-War world? Is the entire world now a desert wasteland? Or can trees, and grass grow even with the radiation?

    - How proeminent are cars, motorbikes etc in the Post-War world? There are Mad-Max like Car Gangs out there?

    - Is the fabrication of ammunition viable on the Post-War world Or people have to work with the leftovers?

    - Presuming all of the major Brazillian cities got bombed, how will the countryside be affected by radiation?

    - Is the Amazon Rainforest turned into a huge wasteland because of the Atomic Explosions? Or it would be ravaged in the Resource Wars?

So i guess that's it for now. If you guys cannot anwser all of them, one of these questions answered will alredy be of great help to me. And if some of the questions have no awnser at all, great! I will have all the freedom to build upon the world.

So who send the package that destroyed the divide

Were the east coast factions aware of Ceasars Legion and NCR fighting? If so what did they think of the situation, if anything?

How do you jump in Power Armor?

    Posted: 09 Feb 2021 08:59 PM PST

Bit of a dumb thought I had, but how the hell do you jump in Power Armor without a jetpack? Using Fallout 4's stats, a suit of T series power armor weighs 92 pounds if I remember correctly, and even then that's a generous estimate in my opinion.

I know there are servos inside the suit which make movement easier, but how can a user possibly even jump with that much sheer weight? Or is this just one of those things that's explained by Science! instead of science?

Just wondering what the absolute worst place would be to live, whether that be another country or a certain city in America

    Homosexuality Pre-War

    Posted: 09 Feb 2021 09:01 PM PST

What do you think the view on homosexuality was before the war? I have a headcannon that people who were homosexual were considered communists and deviants like in the irl 50's, but I'd still like to know.

On a scale of 1-10, how human are synths?

    Posted: 09 Feb 2021 08:22 PM PST

Based off of what we see in fo4 how organic are synths. I know Des said they are more organic but how organic are they really?
