    Point Lookout

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 01:44 AM PST

Hey, just finished Point Lookout DLC for the first time. Im on PS3, level 20 before - level 25 after. Probably 130 hours in FO3.

I dont know what to take from the DLC. The atmosphere was crazy good. I love the swamp/crazy tribe/treasure theme.

But the story and quests were like...meh. The Velvet Curtain was cool but i dont think it was finished properly. The main quest with Professor/Desmond was just a mess. I havent enjoyed one second of it. Also, the ending (i sided with the Professor) was....cut short? Not finished? I dont know.

Lore quests (Ozymandias, Plik) were kinda good. I dont know if I did not notice but are they connected to Capital Wasteland story?

I LOVE them new enemies - crazy swamp folks. They stand out from the first look and they are tough to beat. I love it. Mirelurks and Swamp Ghouls suck.

Locations are alright. Blackhall Manor had much more potential but only one lame quest was included. I liked Lighthouse, Cathedral and the Detention Camp + the pier. It is just something else than in the Capital Wasteland.

Other characters were really nice. Marcella, Nadine, Jackson. Cool DLC NPCs, just what you expected.

If I didnt understand the DLC's lesson, I am sorry. Please enlighten me.

Overall, after my FIRST playtrough, i'd give it 6,5/10. I already know I gotta replay it again.

What are your thoughts on the DLC? Thanks

(pardon my english, I am european and English is not my language.)

What are your Fallout 3 Headcanons?

    Posted: 23 Feb 2021 09:49 AM PST

Here's some of mine. Most of these take place after the events of Fallout 3.

    1. If Vault 101 had opened at any time before the ending and sold surplus water, they would have become a major wasteland power.

    2. After the Boss left the Capitol Wasteland in 2087, Rivet City took over Project Purity and was able to expand greatly, now taking over the area between the Jefferson Memorial and Rivet City itself.

    3. Three Dog would host radio plays based on The Lone Wanderer's adventures. Herbert Daring Dashwood wanted the role of LW, but had to settle for James.

    4. With his accelerated Growth, Harold's plants spread significantly throughout the Wasteland in a few short years.

    5. Tales of the Lone Wanderer's Adventures would eventually be published by various Wasteland Authors, though not all of them were true. "The Lone Wanderer & The Unstoppables Crossover" was especially popular with children.

    6. Alistair Tenpenny died after drinking too much and falling over the guard rail. Tenpenny Tower was abandoned not long after, with scavengers picking it over every now and then, but no one attempted to re-establish it as a settlement.

    7. The Lone Wanderer would amass a small crew to help take care of Mothership Zeta and would travel around the world using it.

    8. Enclave Soldiers often use their Laser Rifles to start campfires or cook their food even through they're not supposed to. Many Enclave Soldiers also have their Eyebots shoot their food to cook it. Again, they're not supposed to do that. This is done a lot in Raven Rock.

    9. One of the kids in Little Lamplight is actually over 100 years old, but has a mutation that makes them look like a kid. To cover their tracks, they "leave" every few years and come back through a secret entrance with a new identity and new outfits.

    10. Harold's accelerated growth caused a boom of plant life in the Capitol Wasteland for years to come. The Treeminders would learn parkour and guerrilla tactics. They would punish those who would harm their forest and legends spread about the forest "attacking" those who made it angry. More superstitious Wastelanders would leave gifts at random points in the forest to appease it.

    11. The Lone Wanderer has met the Sole Survivor, but they don't know it.

    12. The Lone Wanderer attempted to use one of the many phones found in the Wasteland. They picked it up and put it to their ear. They never described what they heard on the other end and never will.

    13. Moira Brown as attempted to ride a Protectron, a Brahmin and the Lone Wanderer at least once.

    14. Some Garys have successfully intergrated into various Wasteland communities and learned how to speak coherently.

    15. Some BoS, Outcast and Enclave Members like decorating the inside of the Power Armor with small tochkes and photographs. Pine Car Fresheners are the most common.

    16. Enclave Soldiers will sometimes listen to GNR in their Power Armor. You don't hear it, because Power Armor is sound proof except for the speaker.

I think the title is pretty self explanatory, but I also have another question, where can I find a bunch of ammo for the Lincoln's Repeater.
