How Do I Enjoy FNV After Playing It to Death? Posted: 26 Dec 2020 11:27 PM PST I built a PC a year or two ago; while I love New Vegas, I just have not been able to get back into it for several years since I first played it to death on consoles. Part of the problem must be because I know the game in and out, so I feel like I need to mod it so much to make it feel new and fresh— and that may not be a realistic goal. It's funny because I have 100+ hours of FNV on steam, but most of that is probably from testing and modding the game. Honestly I'm not sure how to replay a game I like so much if I can't bring myself to play it. At what point do I just accept "yup, I've seen and done everything." I'm interested to hear what y'all do to keep New Vegas feeling fresh. I'm hoping the Frontier might be worth checking out, although from what I remember, the system requirements it had seemed rather beefy for my 1060. New California was promising too, but got I just could not run it for whatever reason. I'd also like to get into TTW, but I keep holding off on that because 3.3 must be coming eventually. This game, when it came out, gave me unrealistic expectations of the future of gaming. Posted: 26 Dec 2020 03:04 PM PST I'm not saying that no good games have come out since. Yet, after playing oblivion and loving it. Then fallout 3 and feeling like it was really good. I got this game and was obsessed with it. It had something special in its writing and quest development that I hadn't seen before. I thought more games would come out that had this caliber of writing and story development. There have been some highlights but mostly I've been disappointed. Anyone feeling the same. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Dec 2020 04:33 AM PST I got the script extender, nvac and that 4 gb thing but it still crashes after 20-25 minutes of playing. It stutters and I have to close the pc entirely. Does anybody have a solution for this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:49 PM PST So am keep running into the same problems with modding fnv. I am using Vortex and following Gopher's tutorials on youtube that were made this year. Here are the mods I start having trouble with. Btw I have the DLCs https://i.imgur.com/Yb6UxRp.png https://i.imgur.com/5WeLFTE.png So I install UIO and it's chill and then DarnUI and everything is fine. Then I install MCM and its update files and it recognizes NVSE. And the game launches and plays correctly. But then I install oneHUD and its Darn counterpart and the MCM menu just doesn't show up. I've tried everything: fresh restart, messing with conflicts, etc. But nothing works. One time I launched the game and it actually worked. I left the doctor's house, but my game immediately crashed. I relaunched and the menu was nowhere to be found. Additionally, Project Nevada and its patch said their installation failed, which I had never seen before. Regardless, I launched the game after I fixed the conflict and it said there was an error, unsurprisingly. This process has been a nightmare. https://i.imgur.com/TKVeP2p.png Also, many mods that I have downloaded have just instantly crashed my game. Like the Unofficial Patch, Just Sprint, and the NMC texture packs have not been loading at all. I'd like some advice. Comment for any more info that is needed [link] [comments]
