- Was a Fat Man ever actually used in battle before the bombs dropped? How is that even possible? Do they not immediately fry their user?

Turns out The Big Circle is mapped out in Fallout 2's random encounter system Posted: 14 Nov 2020 02:15 PM PST The Strategy guide for Fallout 2 partially mapped out caravan routes, which it recommends using to travel safer. Digging through the WORLDMAP.txt and building off of the Random Encounter wiki page, I was able to map out the areas the Big Circle travels on Fallout 2's map, more completely, posted to the wiki here. Every green square is an area directly referred to in dialog as a trade route, where Caravans / traders can be randomly encountered. faint green is the trade route between the Klamath and Modoc, as well as the Random Encounter regions "Bandits pass" between the Den and Modoc, where caravans can be found but are being attacked 41% of the time they are encountered. Also "Wilderness 1" where traders seem to come from off-map in Oregon to Modoc. The lines drawn on are directly from the Strategy guide, and as you can see they don't align perfectly with the actual caravan zones. [link] [comments] |

What exactly is a Sentinel? (BoS) Posted: 14 Nov 2020 06:42 PM PST On completion of New Dawn. The SS is awarded the title of Sentinel. Though the game doesn't describe the rank in much detail. It's described as the "highest honor" a BoS solider can attain. But in what capacity does it serve the BoS brigade? Is it a Second in command to the Elder? Does LC Kells truly have authority to order a Sentinel? Does a Sentinel have permission to order lower ranked officers to do missions? (sans Chains that bind) Lastly, Does a Sentinel typically succeed a fallen Elder or was Sarah Lyons just an exception? As we know, McNamara and Elijah in the Mojave became Elders without even being a Sentinel. [link] [comments] |
