How come the NCR with their service rifles shooting 5.56 ammo isn't able to easily gun down the legion since their armor is football padding and they mainly use melee combat?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 10:24 PM PDT

This always bothered me, its like the saying never bring a knife to a gunfight. I play the game with high realism combat in mind (1-3 shots your dead, head shot instant kill for me and enemies) So i don't see how a high powered bullet like a 5.56 could do such little damage to someone wearing football Armour. Even with armor plating in the football gear a 5.56 should be able to shoot through and obliterate it. Its the same reason i can never bring myself to play as a realistic melee character build, how can you when everyone is carrying guns. What do you guys think? Anyway i could justify playing as realistic melee character? In my mind i always assumed bullets made post war were of poor quality therefore weaker than the prewar counterparts. But i would like to hear your thoughts.

Why are the Sorrows known among Zion's tribes as being more peaceful/cooperative than others?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 12:36 AM PDT

It's emphasized a couple times during dialogue that the Sorrows are known to be a gentler, more peace-minded tribe than many of their peers. Is there ever a reason given for this?

Do the Eastern BoS have a death knell for gen 1 and gen 2 synths?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 04:02 PM PDT

Surely they don't, right? Their biggest issue with gen 3 synths is that they look human, not just act so. Otherwise they would hate Mr Handys too? If you bring Nick Valentine onto the Prydwen, no one seems to be up in arms about it, aside from a few snide remarks.

Has there ever been a character from a place that was okay post-war?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:50 AM PDT

I've never played the first two games and it's been a while since I played 3 and NV so I'm curious if there's ever been a character from another country that wasn't completely destroyed or at least information about one? Also, what regions of the world could you guys see being mostly okay? I mean obviously the entire world would change but are there places whose infrastructure was intact enough to keep their society going?
