It's the only thing distinguishing a gen 3 synth from a regular human - so what does it actually do?

Most if not all chems are addictive, but what are the lore side effects/withdrawal?

    Posted: 15 Sep 2020 04:52 PM PDT

Right, so we all know that basically all chems are addictive right? What does that mean for each chem? I know Jet for example has effects almost like meth, you become a tweaker if you don't get your fix. What about the other chems? Mentats, psycho, buffout, etc. I realize the status effects, but what really happens to you? Because if nothing happens to you if you keep shoveling box after box of mentats, aren't they a wonder drug? I know mentats might have burned out Dr.Mobius's brain, but I think that's because he's literally a brain in a jar, and was swimming in it.

    How advanced was nuclear war?

The US military has more advanced lasers then we do in our timeline. Would they still develop an anti-ballistic missile defense system or would they focus on a anti-missile laser defense system?

If the NCR and BoS have a truce, is the BoS capable of harnessing the leftover tech from Robert House?

    Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:37 PM PDT

Would the BoS have the knowledge to deconstruct and understand House's tech? ie: Platinum Chip, missile defense systems, Securitrons.

I'd like to believe they start to understand it all over time and can use it for the betterment of the wasteland.

How do most buildings still have power?

    Posted: 15 Sep 2020 01:49 PM PDT

Fusion cores don't last forever, yet buildings still have the energy to power advanced security systems, computers, turrets, and so forth. How?
