The History of Soda in the Fallout Universe

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 08:27 PM PDT

Here's a flavorful question for y'all. Did Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Pepsi, and all our other favorite sodas exist in the Fallout Universe from the 1880s through (at least) the 2020s? Nuka-Cola wasn't created until 2044, so maybe it came along and wiped out Coca-Cola? Or did the Fallout Universe just not have good soda until twenty-four years into our own future? Sunset Sarsaparilla started in 1918, but Coca-Cola would've been about 40 years along by then. What do you think? Same sodas until the Divergence? Or did Nuka-Cola finally fill a gap that Coca-Cola never came along to fill?

Does the East Coast Brotherhood still encourage procreation?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 06:31 AM PDT

Something that crossed my mind after recently playing FO4. Does the East Coast chapter still continue the Brotherhood's tradition of procreating or has Elder Maxson largely replaced it with open recruitment?

Why isn't the m1911 more prevalent?

    Posted: 12 Aug 2020 06:01 AM PDT

When you think Americana and war you think m1911 right? But we only see it in 2 games vegas and 2. So my question is why is a rugged pistol with easy to obtain ammo and even simpler to maintain so rare? I know it's 2077 but the fact that there is no change functionality wise from an m1911 with the 10 mm pistol asks why don't we see it?

I mean he had to have been aware of robobrains and cryogenics and cryogenics would have worked Better than his tube and he only planned to stay hooked up for a short period of time cryogenics would not let his immune system weaken

Why is seemingly all water in the Fallout games radioactive while most ground isn't?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 09:15 AM PDT

My understanding was that water itself isn't radioactive, but rather it's contaminated with fallout. But then why are all the bodies of water contaminated whereas the land adjacent seemingly isn't?

The water does cover your body more, but it's not like there isn't dust blowing all over on land. Even more so considering the utterly massive size and depth of bodies of water, combined with the fact that bombs wouldn't be targeting them directly. Shouldn't fallout be more heavily distributed on land than in water?
