Second Battle of Hoover Dam and the NCR's Improved Weaponry Posted: 17 May 2020 04:09 PM PDT Normally, the NCR at the Dam have Service Rifles and use normal rounds. As soon as the Second Battle rolls around, they're equipped with 5.56 Pistols, Sniper Rifles, Riot Shotguns and even Marksmen Carbines. How did they instantly get better weaponry? I'm wondering whether its either a gameplay mechanic to make the soldiers more survivable, or is there something i've overlooked? [link] [comments] |
When Did Mutations First Start Occuring? Posted: 17 May 2020 10:45 AM PDT Ok so nukes drop, the deers grow two heads. That is fine. Fallout operates mid 90s sci fi SCIENCE!™ rules. But how fast does that happen? Mutation is, from a certain point of view, when evolution happens much more quickly than usual. But when exactly after the war did mutations start occuring? I couldn't find any hard proof on when exactly people started seeing mutants. Or being mutants. [link] [comments] |
Why is Vault 21 represented so much in New Vegas? Posted: 17 May 2020 11:00 PM PDT In New Vegas, the pip boy icon is wearing a vault 21 jumpsuit, if you have high reputation with the strip then You get a Courier Duster with a 21 on it. Is this because Vault 21 is on the strip? Any insight would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Who is the narrator at the start of 76? Posted: 17 May 2020 09:30 PM PDT As anyone who plays fallout 76 at the start the game is a return to form in that Ron Perlman is narrating the opening again. There is a difference this time as we see the man who is talking. My question is do we know who this man is? My first thought was that it was the news anchor from fallout 4 who was also played by Ron Perlman but that wouldn't make sense as that seemed to be from a local station and not a national one? Do we have any information on who this man was? [link] [comments] |
How are the Brotherhood of Steel in Appalachia 25 years after the Great War? Posted: 17 May 2020 10:28 PM PDT It's been a while since I've played through fallout 76 so I don't remember how or if this was explained in the game. From my understanding, The Brotherhood was founded on the West Coast and never moved east until the Enclave was defeated roughly 125 years after the bombs dropped. But if this is true, then how can they also be in Appalachia 25 years after the bombs dropped? [link] [comments] |
Shouldn’t isolated people like vault dwellers and the Institute and even the enclave be inbred? Posted: 17 May 2020 11:47 PM PDT |
Posted: 17 May 2020 12:28 PM PDT Gen 3 synths look exactly like humans and in the institute we saw on a terminal that they love Fancy Lad Snack Cakes. But that makes us wonder if they actually have to eat. They have a proper digestive system as we can see them being made in Robotics. So, do they have to eat or just choose to [link] [comments] |
What was the Institutes actual goal? Posted: 17 May 2020 03:31 PM PDT Like... Why were they making synths and messing with FEV. Like if i remember correctly they had the motto "Mankind Redefined" but when they had those new synths they just made a slave race of them, Father explicitly cut a lot of transhumanist programs like Kellog's life extending cybernetics... What were their actual long term goals besides "Fuck those guys on the surface for no reason in particular." [link] [comments] |
Skylanes Jetliner - Dimensions Posted: 17 May 2020 07:41 PM PDT To my knowledge, present in FO4 and FO76, possibly FNV but it has been awhile. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Jet_airliner I'm starting a rather indepth physical project for Fallout Wasteland Warfare; a shanty town built around a crashed Jetliner for a piece of scenery. I've given up on finding an appropriate scaled model to convert and was warned against ripping the files from the game and printing them with my resin printer (look bad apparently) Doing a bit of digging and the Jetliners seem loosely based around the Junkers G.38 from around 1929 in part; it has the following dimensions yanked from wiki.
What I'm looking for, is do these dimensions look close enough. I'm not able to jump in game anytime soon to just try to eyeball it based off character height. If someone happens to know the actual dimensions (which I really doubt) or knows a better way to measure it than "yeah that's like twice my height so twelveish feet" I am all ears. I get this is a bit of a oddball ask, but if anywhere is going to have better data than me it will be here. [link] [comments] |
How was hygiene dealt with in the Wasteland? Posted: 17 May 2020 02:22 PM PDT Did anyone take a shower/brush their teeth post war? [link] [comments] |
What is that thing in the Mole Rat den behind the Red Rocket? Posted: 17 May 2020 05:09 PM PDT So, in the Mole Rat den behind the Red Rocket truck stop outside Sanctuary, there's some sort of radioactive object next to a Fusion Core. What is it, a reactor? The engine of some vehicle? [link] [comments] |
Do we know what the experiment in Vault 76 was for certain if it's not a control vault? Posted: 17 May 2020 02:25 PM PDT Hey everyone, I'm currently playing through the Foundation storyline in Wastelanders, and I met some guys from the U.S Army. The boss talked down to me and said 'Do you know the experiment of your vault, not all that We Want to Rebuild Appalacchia Stuff?' I thought Vault 76 was a control vault, is the experiment about the missile silos then? But wasn't that only the Overseer's job? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 May 2020 11:43 AM PDT a few people mentioned on the question i asked, many seem to think he was locked in after the war...during the quincy massacre. i wanna start a discussion on this, people getting confused about it has gotten me curious. "It happened so long ago. Back before everything got wrecked. When I heard the sirens, I tried to find someplace safe. When everything started to shake and fall apart, I just crawled inside. When it got quiet again, I tried to get out, but there isn't a handle on the inside. I just want to go home. Can you help me? Please?"-something billy says" "Back before everything got wrecked"-either before the nukes dropped or before the quincy massacre. "everything started to shake and fall apart"-i cant think of anything during the quincy massacre that could cause everything to shake, did the gunners use mini-nukes during the attack? "When I heard the sirens"-this one confuses me, if billy is a after-war ghoul and is from quincy...did quincy have a alarm system of sorts? i am not aware of one. [link] [comments] |
