- Yes yes please god let me GTFO of here
- NV is the superior game, but I wish you could plop the Wasteland Survival Guide quest and Moira's great dialogue options into NV.
- Panum Crater looks like a real life Big MT
- We won’t go quietly, the Legion can count on that
- 3 days of finding all the warheads and I finally got the last one. Now all I need is the gun runners challenges and my achievements will be at 100 percent!
- I hate that place.
- I like to keep a variety of currencies in my safe. Never know which faction will be taking over.
- [OC] Enjoy your stay !
- True off my chest: Dead Money is not fun
- The Party Time Boomers of Hoover Dam
- Literally everyone has done this at least once
- Favourite minor faction
- I have trouble killing deathclaws , how pls?
- If you havent played it yet play the Autumn Leaves mod for Fallout New Vegas. The writing is on par with the base game and the characters in this one is one of the best I have seen in any game .Period.
- I'm seeing references in people's posts about someone named Jon in the Lonesome Road DLC. Who and where is Jon?
- Logan's Loophole Melee Simpleton Build
- Awfully good posture for a headless corpse
- Nice
- who should i nuke in lonesome road?
- For anyone looking for a good Fallout playlist.
- If a Canon Ending was chosen for New Vegas, which major faction will be chosen as the winners? (NCR, Legion, House, Independent)

True off my chest: Dead Money is not fun Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:16 AM PDT It's the one dlc I always skip. You're forced to use an almost broken energy weapon from the get go, none of your healing items, no decent weapons throughout the hardest part of the level. The map design is some of the worst I've seen from anywhere in FNV; it's just the same streets over and over again, and at least some variety comes with the progression in the casino. Now, I do admit the story direction and characters are some of the best, but the moment to moment gameplay? Agonizing. The base enemies tear me up constantly and it's a chore to deal with them if you don't have DOG. I get that the atmosphere is supposed to be oppressive and dim, but coupled with all the other limitations forced on you, it makes me unhappy to play it. I guess I'm looking for someone to change my mind, or if anyone wants to agree lol [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 04:41 AM PDT I only recently got the DLCs after getting back into New Vegas. I'm currently in The Divide, just outside of Ulysses' Temple, just finished picking off the three Marked Men that spawn right by the entrance. I'm pretty sure I've searched all the areas that I've been through, but I never found another human, much less one named Jon. So who is this Jon guy and where in The Divide is he? Logan's Loophole Melee Simpleton Build Posted: 27 Apr 2020 10:10 AM PDT So I wanted to make a melee simpleton build that uses chems. Tell me what you think? Special: Strength 7(10) Perception 7(8) (doesn't need to be higher, otherwise I'd get redundant points in explosives) Endurance 9(10) Charisma 2 (4) (don't have anywhere else to put the extra points) Intelligence 1(2) (key feature for simpleton) Agility 6(7) Luck 8(9) All implants. 4 skill books in each, 5 in science. Gear: chalks headdress (offset the radiation debuff in strength), tri-valence (+1 END), lucky shades (optional), courier's duster (bear)(+1 End) Weapons: Oh baby!, MFC grenade Traits: heavy handed, Logan's Loophole Skills: explosives 50, lockpick 40, medicine 60, melee 100, repair 90, science 50 (for slasher), speech 100 (had enough for it, plus I like speech in game), survival 70, unarmed 90 Perks: Heave Ho! Travel Light Rad Child Mad Bomber Bloody Mess Stonewall Super Slam Piercing Strike Chemist Jury Rigging Purifier Slayer Toughness (2) Implant GRX Tell me what you think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 07:56 AM PDT So say, as a hypothetical, Bethesda at some point, or even Obsidian wants to go back to the events of New Vegas, which faction (NCR, Legion, House or Independent) would be chosen? Here's what I think, by ranking the 4 in likelihood of being the winners of Hoover Dam. 4. Legion I think it's the least likely outcome that Legion is the winner of the Mojave in the lore. Firstly I believe the choice will be based on either a neutral, or good character. So far every protagonist who's lore has been confirmed (Vault Dweller, Chosen one, Lone Wanderer) have all made choices based on good intentions (stopping the Masters Army, stopping the Enclave, stopping the Enclave again and giving free water to everyone) and I'd doubt this will be any different. Whether you agree with the Legion, that they are the best for the Mojave, they are morally evil. They despise the poor and weak, crucify them and sell them into slavery. They burn towns, and if you're a woman, youre not doing to have a good time. Also I believe the Legions not very developed, I believe even Obsidian admitted to it. They have a significant lack of locations and quest lines compared to the NCR, and essentially everyone else in the Mojave see them as a moral evil. So therefore I doubt they will be the ones picked. Unless they throw a curve ball and confirm Legion wins, I doubt they will be the winners. 3 House Honestly I believe House, NCR or Independent could be the winners, but I believe House is the least likely of the three. You see with the 3 previous protagonists, that each of them are established as being independent people, making their own choices, going all around the wasteland. And I don't believe it would work as well selling the adventures of the independent courier, when in reality there's a tyrant really ruling over them, making their own choices. Also with House, he too has his own evils. He couldn't care less about the citizens of the Mojave, and is resting up in his palace. I don't think it would be a satisfying ending if this guy wins, this one incredibly rich, arrogant man win, all cushioned up in the Lucky 38. Although what could be going for House is his references in other games. In Fallout 4, Deacon references him, and I believe he's references in 76. This might mean nothing, as they realistically wouldn't know about his condition, these could be subtle references to the fact he could still be out there. Also you could say he's almost the most iconic character in New Vegas, after all he is the big boss of Vegas, the main focus of the game, and him winning would be fitting. 2. NCR Same thing as House, I believe if Bethesda or Obsidian want to sell the courier as an independent, lone wanderer, him being essentially a pawn of the NCR might not work. But the NCR, I believe, have alot more going for them. For one, them existing in Fallout 2. I believe them existing in multiple Fallout games could mean they are a reassuring faction that could continue to show up in other games (such as the BoS, or Enclave). So them winning could mean they could continue to show up in the other games. Also I believe the NCR are the most iconic of all factions. We all remember them quite fondly, whether it's that iconic Desert Ranger, or those meme quotes such as "patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a Nuclear Winter". They are the most common force in the Mojave, scattered essentially everywhere in the wasteland. I believe it's likely enough the NCR wins the wasteland. 1. Independent/Yes Man Now I believe if Bethesda or Obsidian were to give lore to the ending of New Vegas, I believe the focus will be on the courier. And the best option for the courier is Independence, as they are free to be themselves, and make their own choices. It would add to the legend of the courier, this man/woman who single handledly changed the Mojave. Also the courier being allowed to make their own choices brings out the most possibilities ending wise. For example, House literally just kills the Kings, and also Legion kills off the BoS. With Independent, you have, or Betheda/Obsidian have the choice to make any of these factions alive or dead, so they can shape the lore as they please. If Bethesda/Obsidian chooses the story of New Vegas is finished, and they are moving onto other locations and other story's, Independent is the best choice. You see with the other 3, you now have the loose ends of these huge forces controlling the Mojave. At some point, you'd have to think further down the Fallout timeline "What's going on with the NCR/Legion/House forces?" and the best way to contain and finish the FNV story is to have an independent Vegas, with no major forces that pose a threat to the rest of the wasteland, and for each of the characters and minor factions to have their self contained story's. Although with Independent, it's possible NCR or Legion could still exist if Bethesda or Obsidian want to continue with their stories. Although yes, they are severely weakened and disorganised, they could do an Enclave and suddenly come back strong. It really allows any possibilities for these factions. So in my opinion, Independent are the most likely to be the canon winners of the Mojave. But what do you guys think? (I previously posted this to r/falloutnewvegas , but this being the larger subreddit, I want to see what you guys think) [link] [comments] |
