Mappers: Is Vegas present on Fallout 1's world map? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 01:50 PM PDT I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask this, but it makes the most sense to me. Apologies if this isn't correct. To be clear, I am well aware that New Vegas cannot be visited in Fallout 1. I'm asking about an art asset. I have been drafting a new version of my own composite map of Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and New Vegas' world maps. While doing research to adjust the locations of settlements and make them match with real life, I came across this bit of info on Vault 15's wiki page:
I was intrigued by the idea that Vault 15 might have originally been placed by the developers near Nellis AFB. I pulled up Google Maps and compared it to Fallout's world map. Then I noticed something interesting. About 5 squares to the south and east of Vault 15 is the graphic for a city ruin. If Vault 15 is within Nevada's borders on the Fallout 1 map, wouldn't this place those ruins at about the position of Las Vegas IRL? I tried to compare with Google Maps but I don't think the Fallout 1 map is on the same projection as Google; does anyone know anything more conclusive about this? [link] [comments] |
Is there any declared age for any of yhe main protagonists? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 07:18 AM PDT I was reading u/dagoth_brrr s post about how they track age and it got me thinking is there any confirmed age for your character in any fallout game or is it all just based on what you think it should be? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 09:59 PM PDT "Welcome to Camp Navarro. So, you're the new replacement... You are out of uniform, soldier! Where is your power armor? Don't have any? You expect me to believe that, maggot? The truth is you lost an expensive piece of army-issue equipment. That suit is going to come out of your pay, and you will remain in this mans army until you are five hundred and ten years old, which is the number of years it will take for you to pay for a Mark II Powered Combat Armor you have lost! Report to the armory and have a new suit issued to you, then report back to me, private! Dismissed!" [link] [comments] |
Before the great war, were there any conspiracy theories about Vault Tec? Posted: 14 Apr 2020 01:47 AM PDT Like did people have conspiracies that Vault Tec would actually be experimenting on people, or that they won't actually function, etc? Whether they came out to be true or not? Were there also any any leaks from people who work for Vault Tec saying that they're dangerous and Vault Tec isn't a good company? [link] [comments] |
Why are all the army helmets in fallout 4 german stahlhelms? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 07:59 PM PDT I was exploring someplace and i looked a little closer at the helmet on a skeleton and realized its just a green stahlhelm, why arent they using the american m1 helmets instead? [link] [comments] |

The Chernobyl Disaster in the Fallout Universe Posted: 14 Apr 2020 02:21 AM PDT Do we have any indication in the lore if the Chernobyl incident occurred in their timeline, or if a similar accident occurred but in another country? Or Three Mile Island, for that matter. [link] [comments] |
