    What is the Steel Plague

It's mentioned in the ending of Fallout 1 if Paladin Rhombus is killed and is said to devastate the NCR so what is it?

For those who have played Wastelanders what is your favorite new piece of lore? (Spoilers)

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 08:38 PM PDT

In Fo4: Was the whole of the BOS destroyed along with the Prydwen? Or are there more who could come looking for answers and payback (first question on here, I apologize if I forgot something or left something out)?

I apologize in advance for the long question, I wanted to specify as much as I could. I realize that TECHNICALLY not all of their forces were wiped out in any of the scenarios in which the player could destroy the Prydwen, as you can still encounter survivors here and there including the Cambridge police station. However, I was curious if the Brotherhood (or Maxson ultimately) brought the entirety of their forces to the commonwealth for D.C. or if they were essentially the expeditionary force of their entire organization? Similar to how modern militaries operate by deploying troops on tour rotations to and from their homeland and the theatre of war.

I'm mainly asking because there are some things that don't quite add up in regard to in-game content and the time between Fallout 3 & 4, such as the time gap between the two games. I may be wrong, but I think it was only about 10 years between the two games. Which doesn't really seem like enough time to have passed for the Brotherhood to not only recover from their conflict with the Enclave, but also eliminate or otherwise nullify any of the Enclave's remnants, reintegrate the outcasts, reform the Brotherhood's infrastructure, recover, rebuild, and train in piloting their vertibirds AND build as well as maintain and operate the Prydwen basically from scratch, then finally make the voyage to Massachusetts (assuming they didn't stop and conquer anything along the way).

Plus, it's further confusing when Teagan and other BOS officers want you to coerce or enlist the aid and services of settlements around Boston. If they were a more widespread force along the east coast, shouldn't they have a supply line for food, medical supplies, and munitions? Although, I'm willing to concede partially on that note given that their own soldiers have to buy their own weapons and ammo from their armory.

I would especially appreciate any official lore content that can be found in game to verify the actual status/condition of the east coast brotherhood overall or any source confirmed by Bethesda. I've been thinking about writing a story covering this that is dependent on whether or not the Brotherhood were decimated or not.

In short: Was that ALL of the Brotherhood of Steel on the east coast, or are there much more outside of Massachusetts?

Why do some ghouls have raspy voices and others have normal voices?

What was the BOS’s opinion of the minute men?

How would one become an NCR citizen?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:09 AM PDT

Say you were born outside of NCR territory but wanted to live and be a citizen of the NCR. Is there any lore on this?

can they actually fully understand each other, or is it something more like how a dog understands a human and vice versa?

Structure of Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 06:54 AM PDT

In Fallout 4, what is the structure of the Brotherhood of Steel? The NCR has platoons and companies and i was wondering if the Brotherhood has anything similar and if so, what would the squads/platoons consist of? How many people would be in there, how many would wear power armour, different ranks and etc. Any help would be useful as this is for a project of mine about the power of different armies. Apologies for my ignorance and thanks for any assistance available!

    The NCR makes no sense

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 12:00 PM PDT

So in fallout 1 shady sands is a day or 2 away from vault 15, and in fallout 2 the NCR is, why on wasteland would the residents of vault 15 give up their easy cushy life in vault 15 to move a day out and have to work super hard to even survive? Why not make a camp right outside vault 15 put up a wall and you can live in the vault and only farm for a couple hours a day instead of doing it all day just to sleep and do it again.
