Is there an in-universe explanation for the Institute renaming their Androids to Synths? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 05:48 AM PST In Fallout 3, both Mr Zimmer and the Railroad agent refer to synths as androids, which seems to imply to me that it is the accepted name for them both in the Institute and in the Commonwealth at large at the time. So my question is, did Bethesda just say screw it and change their mind while developing Fallout 4, or was the project actually renamed? [link] [comments] |

What do the “residents” of Diamond city do for income Posted: 20 Feb 2020 12:16 PM PST I know the title is vague but I'm wondering that the unnamed residents would likely do for a source of income. We know what the named residents (ie Travis, Myrna) do, but I wonder about the citizens just marked as "residents" [link] [comments] |
Was Maccready at the Quincy Massacre? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:23 AM PST Seems like he was a Gunner then, so is it possible? I just agreed to be the general, and Mac was surprisingly supportive. I noticed he didn't speak to Preston directly, though. 🤔 [link] [comments] |
Were radiation related illnesses common pre-war? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 12:16 PM PST With a society almost exclusivly powered by nuclear energy, were radiation related illness common place for the average citizen? Given that almost all machinery be it industrial or domestic was powered by nuclear power. [link] [comments] |
What mutated creatures have the capacity for higher intelligence/personhood? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:37 PM PST I'm trying to compile a list of the mutated creatures that can essentially qualify for personhood and I request your help to double check if I've missed any. From the human spin-offs there's ghouls and super mutants. Mole rats surprisingly as shown by Brain back in Fallout 2 Deathclaws as shown by Gruthar's pack Mole Miners to some extent as shown by Purveyor Murmrgh Maybe Mothman given how he just hangs out and responds to players by giving them an XP boost after Path to Enlightenment? He's a strange fella. Those are all the ones off of the top of my head but I'm wondering if I missed any terminal entries about the odd Marked Man or ant queen or nightstalkers or something of the like. Appreciate any help! [link] [comments] |
