The Enclave would've wanted to go to the Maripose Military base (in this alternate reality without the miners of Redding, because they most likely were already converted to super mutants long before the Enclave set foot in the wasteland again) to get a sample of the FEV-2 virus to make it into the airborne one they want to use in Fallout 2. Of course, they would've been opposed by the super mutant army, and the first battle would most likely be a draw. After the Master and the Lieutenant of this alternate reality realize the Enclave is on a threat level similar to that of the Brotherhood, probably even stronger, they would launch their warhead to the oil rig. But the Enclave also has a warhead and they would probably detect the nuke, then send their own while allowing the president and the vice president, and the most important scientists to escape. Now, the enclave, in one way or another, would learn where the master is (Los Angeles Vault). But Vaults are supposed to protect against nukes, right? So while the Cathedral above ground would cease to exist, the Master could technically close the vault door and prevent his own death. And the Enclave only has one warhead, so they would be unable to destroy the Military Base too. So if the Master died, the Lieutenant could take on.
