Annexed Canada/ Island United Sates Vaults

Would Vault Tec have built any shelters in annexed Canada/ island states before the bombs fell or just the continental United States? I dont recall reading anything about vaults outside of the continental United States and i didnt see anyone ask it recently. do we know if there are any other vaults built out side of the USA?

How did Vault 111 residences die?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:34 AM PST

I'm doing another playthrough of Fallout 4 and I read the terminals everytime. The overseer logs say that there was a mutiny and food shortage. There are only 4 reasons as to why the dwellers could be dead from what I've seen: starvation, radiation, kellog, or old age. Considering the vault wasnt opened, as far as I can recall, for near 150 years until kellog came along, I want to say it was due to starvation and cannibalism, but I don't know where I could find this information without delving deep into terminals. Is it stated anywhere how vault 111 dwellers/staff died and if there were any that possibly made it out alive? (Minus vault tec rep in GN)

Edit: I know the cryopod dwellers died of asphyxiation, but what of those that were not frozen in pods (scientists, staff, security, maintenece, etc.)

What happened to Vault-Tec and how did they monitor vault experiments?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2020 09:27 PM PST

So first off, I'm brand new to this sub, so my apologies if this question has been asked before.

So first off, Vault-Tec built vaults all around America to experiment on its citizens in an attempt to build an army (in some circumstances) or in other instances, as they claim, to build a better tomorrow. I realise I may have missed this whilst trekking through the wasteland at some point, but what happened to the Vault-Tec staff and directors? Did they not build a refuge for themselves? Or did they and perhaps it was overrun by people fleeing because it never sealed properly due to malfunction?

Secondly, we know that overseers were in charge of their own individual vault, but how would they report the success or failures of each experiment to Vault-Tec? Was this just to be done once the vaults were unsealed? Surely not though, right? And I ask because Vault-Tec had the forethought that there would be hostile groups of people out in the wastelands, so wouldn't they have some sort of communication line in place?

These are the questions that keep me up at night. Did Vault-Tec try and save themselves and how did they manage all of their experiments post vault doors closing?
