I don't understand why people side with legion Posted: 17 Oct 2019 02:07 PM PDT Time in time again I don't understand how people can side with legion The legion is efficient and very orderly, and as a government works better than the NCR, however the lifestyle within the legion is horrifying. I would absolutely live in a non perfect society with a slow government full of corrupt politicians in which I'm free and happy, over a orderly efficient government where my freedom is restricted and I'm surrounded by fascism, sexism, and death. There are many slaves which is completely unmoral, sure it makes work get done quicker but it's horrible and unjustified. Ghouls and mutants are as good as dead, it seems people are only soldiers and have no freedom or outside life outside the legion. Not to mention they don't value technology which halts their growth as a society. It is true they are able to keep things orderly and efficient, but it's not worth the cost of freedom and happiness of the people. The NCR may take a long time to get things done, but it keeps order just as the legion does, it may do it slower, and it may be corrupt, but who cares? You can live your life how you want it, it might not be fair all the time but you can chose what you want to do with your life and not just be a soldier. The NCR represents our society today, it might not work the best all the time, but it's much better than living under a facist slave society. You guys can't be telling me you'd rather live in a society in which you're either a soldier or a slave, just for the sake of efficiency? Our democratic society just like the NCR is slow but it still gets most things done. I value freedom and happiness way more over efficiency, it's really not that important. [link] [comments]

Question on the New Vegas credit intro video Posted: 17 Oct 2019 07:51 AM PDT You can't skip the credit intro until you see the Bethesda Softworks logo, but this means you can skip the Obsidian Entertainment logo. Do you think Obsidian did this through their own volition? [link] [comments]
I played D.E.I.M.O.S last night and it was awesome! Posted: 17 Oct 2019 05:18 AM PDT I can't believe I never played it before. The ambiance was cool, the quests were kinda simple but entertaining, I absolutely loved the story and the ending made me sad. For a short mod it felt great. What I liked the most was the exterior area, specially when you travel back in time and the place is under the effects of radiation storms. It reminded me of Fallout Zero for FO3. Posted: 17 Oct 2019 06:21 AM PDT So, with low luck, i won't be getting much money from gambling, correct? Going through the Sierra Madre and wanted to win the 7,500 caps for the voucher but eh, luck is my dump stat :/ [link] [comments]
Mods that are like FO4 settlement system? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:18 PM PDT Firstly, my apologies if this has been asked before; I couldn't find anything in searches. I am trying this game after Fallout 4. It is very fun so far, but one thing I miss from 4 is the settlement system, where you could build your own towns or bases. Does anyone have a mod recommendation that provides something like this? Preferably not just a "player home" that you can't customize, since I already have the Lucky 38 room. Thank you in advance. Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:04 PM PDT You can get a ton of gold bars at the end of the dead money dlc. Spoilers if you couldn't tell. Take all of the gold bars, then the very first millisecond that you can slam Elijah's asshole with your Holorifle. Push him into the corner by the force field. I think it had to be the right side. Place your gold bars on him. Run like hell through the normal escape route. Then go into third person, crouch, and angle your camera so that you can loot Elijah through the forcefield. Slowly make your way back to the elevator, and cookie clicker the interact button, because if your lucky you may get a quarter of a second where you can use the elevator, before you're blown up. There's a Youtube guide if I missed any steps. [link] [comments]
Game gets 'sluggish'/less responsive when started through Mod Organizer Posted: 17 Oct 2019 05:59 AM PDT ALoha!I have just recently started to mod FNV. I used to do a lot of modding in Skyrim using the Mod Organizer so I thought I would do the same here. Now I followed the steps for the basic set up for FNV and got up to about 50+ mods. Knowing my pc limitations I cant use ENBs and ultra high res mods, so I made sure I don't have any of those.Nevertheless, when I start my game (either FNV4GB, FNV, NVSE) through mod organizer it is really sluggish and respond slowly. feels very laggy if you want. the character has a noticeable delay when pressing a movement button, fights are very laggy and even in dialogue the mouse feels like is very sticky.I don't know which mod caused the issues. I have tried to disable the big ones as well as bigger animation mods an overhaul mods, but nothing causes the game to get better. Now even when I switch to my vanilla profile (so NO mods installed) and run the game through mod organizer its still the same problem. So I went and used the normal launcher and it starts the vanilla game just fine and has no lag whatsoever. Has any one ever had that problem and can help me out?I have no glue especially because of the fact that running the game with MO without any mods activated still causes the problem. Here is my modlist, in case anyone spots a major problem: Thanks for your help! [link] [comments]
Why do the casinos accept Legion Denarius? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:56 PM PDT It makes perfect sense for NCR cash to be accepted, because while not everyone loves them, they're obviously not the bad guys. And they even have an embassy on the Strip. But Caesar's Legion is clearly evil, right?? They keep women as SLAVES. If I were a clerk working in one of those casinos and someone tried to buy chips with Legion money, I'd report them to security and/or the NCR. The only reason a person should have Legion money is if they looted it from the corpse of a murdered Legionnaire. But it's not like a clerk would know how you got the money, let alone believe you if you said you took it from a Legionnaire you killed. Their reputation leaves little room for belief that some random courier could have held his own against them. Vulpes Inculta even has to put on normie clothes when he visits the Strip, because you know they wouldn't have let him in with that ridiculous coyote head Vexillarius helmet and the damn banner of the Legion propped up on his back.
