Where's the Enclave in Fallout 4?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 02:19 PM PDT

I was thinking about that, why there isn't an Enclave presence in Boston, why aren't they mentioned exept one terminal in the Pridwen that mentions :

Despite the defeat of the Enclave in the Capital Wasteland, the Brotherhood of Steel was still an organization divided. The Outcasts, a splinter faction that left the safety of the Citadel, still struggled to survive in the Capital Wasteland, separated from their parent organization. And while some of the Brotherhood members within the Citadel had no desire to reunite with their "disgraced" brothers, many saw the advantage in bolstering their own forces with warriors already trained and indoctrinated by the Brotherhood of Steel. Surely they could work out any... philosophical issues?

Why there isn't a Commonwealth chapter of the Enclave? Why aren't they mentioned? I mean, it makes logical sense to me that there would be Enclave presence in the area since in Boston there are many military instalations and is a point of interest, and maybe they could gang up with the Institute or something... If this is just pure speculation or brakes any rules, please feel free to remove, just kinda curious about it...

Why isn't the Divide extremely irradiated?

Like nukes were detonated somewhere in the Courier's lifetime and can detonate some him/herself, so why isn't there almost any radiation? Did i miss something?

What the hell is the gas from dead money?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 04:01 PM PDT

I remember my first time playing through dead money I missed alot of stuff. Didn't even pick up the part where the collars were linked.

After watching other people play through dead money I better understand it. I actually like the story behind it. The characters are interesting too.

I though dog/god was super interesting and I really liked him. Was also sort of sad how both personalities hated each other but god actually tried to keep dog from hurting himself. It was part because it was his body too and part him actually caring about dog.

Anyways getting sidetracked after better understanding the story, its characters, and the mechanics, one thing still stumps me.

What the hell is the gas from dead money supposed to be?

Like I know the suits got their locks eroded by the gas and the people inside them got messed up by the gas.

But it stumps me what the hell makes them immortal or act the way they do now.

Its not like its radioactive gas because then they would be mortal and just act like ferals, running around everywhere.

But they use weapons and have actual tactics.

They do have a pack or horde mentality though, which I guess is sort of like a feral ghoul thing.

TL;DR What the hell kind of gas makes the ghosts in dead money immortal and act the way they do?

Is there any FO content that expands on what happened to Vault Tec scientists? Surely someone has to be alive to be tracking the results of the social experiments, correct?

I'm not too fresh on Fallout Lore anymore, but do I understand correctly that some people escaped and went to space? What happened to them? Are there any hints or easter eggs that add more detail?

in your opinion which characters actually understand takahashi and which ones are just messing around?

i always thought that nick and codsworth could somehow figure out what he means to say and that all the human characters are just playing. but then again curie was/is a robot and does not seem to understand anything other than what he is literally saying in japanese.

How does the Enclave operate post-war?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 07:11 PM PDT

Title. How does the Enclave exactly operate post-war?

Do they still all try to work to form a coherent government? Or is it more of a broken loose confederation of the different bases, bunkers, and regions?

A few specific things I want answers for are the following:

•Is Congress still a thing? Does the Senate or House of Representatives still function and play a factor in Enclave decision making?

•How interconnected is the Enclave? Do they frequently communicate and trade resources with other bases/bunkers?

•How does the presidency work? In the original fallouts there is the Presidential Oil Rig, which is also mentioned in other games, like Fallout 76, but Thomas Eckhart became president in West Virginia, is there multiple active Presidents? How is the presidency decided?

Any other answers or information regarding how the Enclave functioned as a government and a faction are accepted!

How did the enclave bring up their kids ?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2021 10:36 PM PDT

Hey all first post. Saw this question somewhere awhile back but wanted to ask it here. We know how the brotherhood raise their kids but what about the enclave ?

Like I know about Arcade but is there any more mention in the bringing up of kids in the enclave ?
