How did scorpions get to the capital wasteland and the commonwealth.

The only states in America that has scorpions in the wild that I know of are: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas so I don't understand how they got to the east coast and more specifically the north east where the games takes place. I guess that could have come from a Zoo of some kind but I doubt that it would be enough to for the amount of radscorpions we found on the east coast.

So do anyone know the lore behind this or is this just a plot hole on Bethesdas part?

[FNV SPOILERS] The transformation of Mr. House’s barracks into Caesar’s Fort.

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 05:52 PM PDT

[FNV SPOILERS] I am doing a Mr House playthrough and am currently activating the mk2 securitrons, Mr. House said something along the lines of "i built this many years before you were born to function as a barracks." But i am confused as to how it became part of Caesar's fort. I assume Caesar just picked a plot of land and it just so happened to contain the bunker. I would like to hear the history/ lore of this land.

Is the T-51 still the pinnacle of pre-war Power Armor technology or is it the T-60 now?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 10:38 AM PDT

T-51 is always referred to as the pinnacle even as the T-60 was revealed to us. I keep hearing that T-60 is supposed to be more advanced but how could that be if the T-51 is still the pinnacle? Was it retconned?

I also heard that T-60s were just improved T-45s so the sentiment of T-51s still being superior isn't that much of a stretch if true. The question basically boils down to which pre war PA was the best of the best in terms of tech and effectivity and do the descriptions from prior games still matter?

Railroad Stealth Boys vs Normal Stealth Boys?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 03:06 PM PDT

At a certain point you are given stealth boys by the Railroad and are uniquely named "Railroad Stealth Boy". Is there any reason that they are different than other Stealth Boys found around the Commonwealth? Do they make their own?

What is actually physically different between Mariposa Super Mutants and Nightkin?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 06:56 PM PDT

I mean I know the master used a different strain of fev to make the nightkin from the strain he used to make Gen 1 super mutants. But the only difference physically that I know of is the blue skin, which isn't even due to being nightkin but an effect of the stealth boys (could super mutants turn blue as well if they also experienced prolonged stealthboy uses?).

Do we know how exactly the Mojave Express works?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 03:17 PM PDT

We know there is about five or six drop box locations in the Mojave, and that there were at least 6 or 7 couriers hired by the Mojave Express that was working in the Mojave - three of them seen (or played as) in game.

What I'm exactly confused about is a couple of things.

    1. Is it an exclusively Mojave service? The Courier is "killed" near Goodsprings, and probably didn't pass through Primm on the way there (more on this later), so they either came from off map or through the deathclaw-infested shortcut. So, what? Did they get the package from somewhere further west and came into the Mojave?
    2. Who gave the Courier the job? Nash mentions meeting Ulysses in person (when he sees your name), but when the Courier first meets Nash it seems like the first time you have ever met him. So if it isn't Nash, was it someone else?
    3. How much people use the Mojave Express? Apparently the pay is pretty good, and indeed if you weren't some kind of walk-the-wasteland type selling fifteen thermal lances to every merchant you meet, the 1000 caps you get from House would set you for life. But it seems none of the average wastelanders you meet (besides you) use the dropboxes and you don't see any other alive or currently employed couriers in the wasteland. Is it only used by richer, government types like House?
    4. Any punishment for stiffing the Courier? Because, apparently, Couriers get paid by the person who took out the contract and not the Mojave Express themselves, is there any punishment for not giving over the money to the person who walked an entire wasteland to give you your special items? How does the company profit in this?

Edit: One last thing. How the hell did House expect to get the chip if you had to pay a passport to get into the Strip?

How did Sam Blackwell’s corpse decompose to just bones when the Jefferson Grey, killed around the same time mind you, is still in a non-decomposed state?

Why exactly did China and America start a nuclear war, knowing that it would lead to the end of the world?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 03:58 PM PDT

It's been a while since I really binged on fallout lord so I'm fuzzy on the details of the resource war but my basic understanding of the events that led up to the Great War is that all countries, particularly the two superpowers of America and China were fighting to gain control of the very limited remains of all the world's main resources, increasing world conflict and leading to an arms race that ended in the Great War.

The thing is for me I just don't understand how either country stood to gain from nuclear war. Based on what I remember from new Vegas and fallout 4 nuclear war was seen as an inevitability but I don't get why either country would want it because it just leads to their destruction. They don't gain any territory, procure resources, or even win any war by dropping nuclear bombs. Were the Americans and Chinese just praying that the other wouldn't drop bombs if they did, or that they'd somehow survive as a society after the bombs?

    How strong is a Deathclaw?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 12:23 PM PDT

Gameplay is one thing, we can argue about if the actual games are reprisentative of the lore all we want - I highly doubt they are - since, y'know, game balance. However, how strong is a Deathclaw in the actual lore? Could a squad of modern US marines take it out? Like, with average assault rifles, since I assume that it would be immune to rifles due to a Deathclaw being bred as a bioweapon. I think.
