Why not just pick up a chair and paint the walls?

So much of the wasteland only looks ratty because things are knocked over. Ex: Helios one. Looks really dirty from the inside, so I picked up all the garbage. It looked so much better. Why don't rich groups like the Kings or NCR ever pay for paint or a cleaning person?

    Just a question.

Does the NCR have any alliances?

Like formal alliances. Not the states of the NCR being allied and not the non-aggression pact with Mr. House. Does the NCR have any actual standing alliances with other factions or settlements?

How would chems actually work IRL?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 03:35 PM PDT

This is something I've been wondering for a while now. What effects would chems actually have on a person? For example Med-X is a pain killer so damage resistance makes sense but Psycho makes you do more damage which realistic isn't possible. So how would it actually effect the body? I would like explanations that make the most sense. Also how many doses would a single chem really have? (Chems from Fallouts 3, New Vegas, 4, and 76). (I don't know if Fallouts 1 and 2 had chems besides Stims and I think Radaway and Rad-X).

What’s the oldest existing super mutant, fev creature and fev mutant?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 02:31 PM PDT

Fev mutants meaning humans infected by fev that turn into unique mutants instead of super mutants (like Talius, Harold and Psychers). And existing meaning alive in its most recent present appearance in the timeline, or recently dead such as Crag in Nuka World but was alive for a substantial amount of time before then.

When Did Mutations First Start Occuring?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 09:47 AM PDT

Ok so nukes drop, the deers grow two heads. That is fine. Fallout operates mid 90s sci fi SCIENCE!™ rules. But how fast does that happen? Mutation is, from a certain point of view, when evolution happens much more quickly than usual.

But when exactly after the war did mutations start occuring? I couldn't find any hard proof on when exactly people started seeing mutants. Or being mutants.

Why wasn't the Resource Wars just called World War 3?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 05:37 AM PDT

The Resource Wars pretty much fit the bill for what we consider World War 3 in every way. It involved the entire world and ended in a nuclear exchange that wiped out most of the world. I'm not sure as to why any other name is necessary to describe the conflict.

Why are there vault dwellers who are far too agoraphobic while others are far too eager to network with wastelanders?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 05:44 AM PDT

Furthermore, haven't they undergone schooling on how to deal with the outside world?
