- Why didn’t the Enclave just call the vaults?
- Was there any significance of the vault numbers and where they were located? or were the numbers significant in another way?
- Do the nightkin have dissociative personality disorder or similar illnesses?
- About where in Goodsprings/the surrounding area was the Courier first attacked?
- Why are feral ghouls so deformed?
- would super mutants have been able to cross from the west to the east?

| Posted: 08 May 2021 01:42 PM PDT I understand the gameplay reasoning for it - preventing the player from coming back and clearing out the area with full equipment. But what would stop the Courier in the lore from mapping out the location and returning, especially since they have to make the walk back themselves anyway? We know the maps aren't locked to exclusively programmed locations, because so many post-war locations exist on the map and "adding things to the map" is well documented even before 4. Though even then, shouldn't the Madre already exist on some prewar maps? It hadn't been opened yet but it was being built for years and advertised before the bombs dropped - certainly the location would be documented somewhere. Once you have the location, the Cloud is your problem, but demonstrably one you can navigate, or else Dog/God couldn't get the Courier there in the first place, nor could the Courier manage to leave. Discussing the impact of the various DLCs on each ending, since the endings were written for the base game and not updated or replaced with the DLCs. Dead Money and OWB in particular would make drastic changes if their contents were accessible, and OWB at least is guaranteed to be; trying to figure out if the Sierra Madre would be (in)accessible or if the Courier is stuck with just the one vending machine, no holograms, and the steeply limited Cloud supply. | Why didn’t the Enclave just call the vaults? Posted: 08 May 2021 01:42 PM PDT Since the vaults were meant to save and experiment on the remnant population of pre war America, why didn't the enclave radio to the vaults that they were coming? I know that the vaults are meant to block out radiation, including electromagnetic radiation from radio waves but shouldn't they have had some method of communication with the outside world incase the government survived the bombs dropping? Wouldn't it have made sense for them to call vaults so they could sent dispatch teams to verify that they were back and bolster their numbers before trying to wipe out the wastes? [link] [comments] |

Some examples are Lily Bowen with her alter ego known as Leo, Tabitha is stated to have DPD, Davison also has it with Antler as a separate voice, Dog and God pretty obviously, the Chupacabra nightkin has voices in their head too. Is this a side effect of being a Nightkin along with schizophrenia? The wiki also states that many nightkin have DPD, so it's not out of the picture that Nightkin could have dissociative personality disorder. [link] [comments] |
