| Shalebridge Ants: Something you might’ve missed in Fallout 3 Posted: 16 Apr 2021 03:02 PM PDT I was replaying Fallout 3 recently and came across a system of mutated ants at the Shalebridge location I never noticed and thought others might have too. First, there's a small nest of forager ants you can enter just a ways down from the actual location marker. These little babby ants are friendly but are under attack by larger ants. You can help the little guys kill the big ones and then have an option to inject their eggs with a stimpack, evening the fight. Second, there's a large nest of the big ants who are automatically hostile. I think there's even an ant queen lurking in this one too. There's all sorts of loot waiting for those willing to go adventuring. Third, you can find the lootable bodies of an ant researcher and a raider (who also seemed to be researching the ants) in and around the nest systems with skillbooks and what not. In summation, a neat and completely missable little spot in Fallout 3. Edit: Okay good, this did exactly what I wanted which was to show something neat people may not have known about. I'm glad! I've been steering her in the way of games that I had a great interest in since about 2004. Starting with Black&White2, then WoW, after that came No Mans Sky (Face Palm and a half..but it got better.), Dreams, and the latest was the Fallout Series. I originally had told her about New Vegas and how many hours, days and weeks I sunk into that Lovable glitchy world. She went in search of it and landed on FO76. She fell in love, with all its flaws, and officially became a fan. I told her that if she likes 76? She'd be crazy for #3, New Vegas and #4. This is a YT video she just made, chronicling her journey to 100. 103 to be exact. It's set to a pretty jazzy song I've never heard of before tonight. All I can say is that I'm oh so very proud of her (and she needs to AIM better!, lol) anyway, check it out if you would. this is the video, and I'm pretty psyched about it It's something that I feel we can ALL relate to in one way or another. Posted: 16 Apr 2021 06:32 AM PDT Having legendary effects that cause fire, explosion, and other things like that make weapons seem almost magical in a way which i really don't like. I'd rather buy exploding or incendiary ammunition to have those effects because one its more realistic, two its less overpowered. Like what about this gun magically causes my bullets to explode on impact? Can't be the ammo im using since I could just transition it to another gun of the same caliber. [link] [comments] |

I honestly loved everything about the game and I wasn't really expecting to like the combat but I really loved it! I made a post a couple days ago, talking about the overseer and how dumb he is. Now my hate for him grew pretty strong but imagine my surprise when that asshole tells me that I can't come back to the vault. I was fucking pissed! Overall, great game. [link] [comments] |
| [FNV] An unsettling detail with the Crimson Caravan vs Powder Gangers shootout Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:42 PM PDT I was wandering the wastes when i saw two Powder Gangers standing close to two Crimson Caravan dead bodies, after i killed the bastards i noticed something: only the woman was not wearing her uniform. I believe this means that the Powder Gangers raped her before or after killing her. The subtle details of this game keeps blowing me away time and again. [link] [comments] |

The environment's still a little rough around the edges but I don't really have the time to recreate the whole thing atm so this is what I've got. | Posted: 16 Apr 2021 04:42 PM PDT Went to the Jefferson Memorial BEFORE I went to Rivet City - so I collected and listened to the holo tapes including number 10 before formally receiving the quest from the scientist in Rivet City - now my quest list shows "both Find and listen to the holotapes to learn your dad's location" and "go to vault 112" as unfinished. I'm worried Ill get to vault 112 and do whatever I'm supposed to do but will be unable to finish the quest since the prerequisite quest is showing unchecked. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 16 Apr 2021 05:46 PM PDT Whenever I try to get another companion, they basically say they can't join because of my current companionship. Whether Dogmeat (or technically his puppy) is with me, dismissed, or dead they say the same thing. I've had the perk for a while but only recently in my play through have Dgmeat's puppies not been respawning. Any way I can fix this? Tried reloading earlier saves and had the same issue.
