Questions about what I should do next after I finish FNV

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 08:07 AM PDT

Hello! So I'm pretty darn far into a save, I think I'm going for the yes man ending but I'm honestly not so sure yet! Finishing some stuff in the wasteland before I go to the final quests. My question is what I should do after. New Vegas had been my first fallout game, and I've absolutely fallen in love, however once I finish I won't be able to hop right back in for another play through, so I was thinking of playing fallout 3, however I also just discovered a tale of two wastelands and was extremely interested and wanted to hear what people thoughts about this and how well it actually worked. Does it break the flow of the two games lore and story wise? Because I know In fallout 3 you are playing as a different character. As well, how well does modding work with ATOTW? From what I've read fallout 3 runs off the NV engine in this instance, so would I be able to have mods on both games and it work with mod manager 2? Seems confusing. Anyways I'd appreciate any suggestions or how to approach playing fallout 3 or a second run of new Vegas, thanks! (-side note: I set up on VNV and maybe wanted something a little different next time!)

    Need help withLakelurks

    Posted: 27 Mar 2021 03:29 AM PDT

Those fucking creatures annoy the hell out of me. Immediately after eliminating a whole pack of Dethclaws, I get killed by a Lakelurk with just one hit of its special attack. I have high Endurance (9) with implants and everything but I still can't resist their attack.

What to do before beating the game

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 09:38 PM PDT

I'm right at the end of fnv in my first playthrough and have sided with the ncr and was wonderingIs there anything I should do before completing the game. I've done all the dlcs, gotten all companions and companion quests, and am level 50 and was wondering if there were some notable side quests or things I should do before completing

Every time I play I find something new.

Did anybody else know there was a bar in boulder? How about the unmarked cave with fire geckos? I didn't find Veronica until my third play through and I looked it up.

Some graphical mod that don't change the overall aesthetic?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 11:33 PM PDT

I'm currently making a mod pack for a future playthrought that I will do once my new computer arrives, so I would like to add some mod that enhances the graphic without changing too much, like removing the orange filter which I really like.

I hate the decision with Ganon.

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 08:21 PM PDT

I really want the tesla armor, but Ganon is my favorite companion and I dont want him to disappear. I'm just not doing the quest. What did you guys choose?

Help With Starting Stats, And Traits On First Playthrough.

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 09:31 PM PDT

So I decided to start my first playthrough of FNV today, I'm only about an hour or two in (still haven't left goodsprings). I'm wondering a few things however, because after reading some stuff, I think that I fucked up my SPECIAL stats. I did the following:

    Strength-5 Perception-4 Endurance-4 Charisma-8 Intelligence-7 Agility-7 Luck-5

I plan on using speech, guns, and science as my major skills. Then repair, explosives, lockpicking and energy weapons as minor weapons.

I've read that for most builds, you should use charisma as a dump stat, science it doesn't do much except in hardcore mode.

What would be the best re-configuration of SPECIAL stats for the build I'm trying to go for.

Also I was wondering if the Wild Wasteland thing is a good idea for a first playthrough, it seems as though it may take away from the experience a bit, however I like the idea of some goofiness to round out the overall serious undertones of fallout. There also isn't any other starting perk that I would want in addition to skilled other than that.

Also any tips you can think of would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cant Find Arcade Gannon

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 12:59 PM PDT

So recently I went to the Mormon fort to find Arcade and he isn't there. I'm trying to find him so I can recruit him as a companion but he just isn't there? I sided with the Legion and I am Idolized by them, does that make a difference?
