    Lever-Action Shotgun build?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 06:12 AM PDT

Hey everyone, I plan on doing a cowboy-type run of NV and was wondering how broken I can make this build. If I get the Cowboy, Shotgun Surgeon, and Stay Back perks, can they make this low capacity shotgun a guaranteed 1 hit kill for most enemies?

    Fallout NV won’t stop crashing

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 05:08 AM PDT

If this is considered spam, feel free to delete @mod I won't complain about it but the mods I have are sprint mod, anti crash, perk every level, 4gb, and NVSE and it still won't stop crashing every 5-50 minutes. Ive looked for solutions everywhere but they're all outdated, I'm wondering if anyone could possibly help out?

Any mod guide for ultimate modded New Vegas?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 01:52 AM PDT

Gonna play this game again and I wanted to mod the hell out of it, especially when it comes to graphic, character models and visual side.

Is there any modded guid to New Vegas to catch best/most essential mods?

    Caesar’s legion question

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:42 PM PDT

I'm going to do my first ever Caesar's legion play through and was wondering if there is a way to both get the Enclave remnants to support Caesar and have Arcade enslaved?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2021 04:26 AM PDT

I'm at the end of the game just need to do lonesome road and the battle at hoover dam. I was wondering if there is some quest that is not so easy to find and I could have missed.

    Trouble with fast travel

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 11:00 PM PDT

I was playing and went to the brotherhood bunker, did the thing with the ranger, picked all the keys, activated the self destruct sequence, used one turbo to get to the first floor, then used half of the 10 grx implant turbo, then escaped, but when i try to fast travel to Hoover Dam, it said "Fast travel is not available in this location" or something like this, so i go through scorpion pass, then into the lake bed, kill the ants, and try again, same thing, what is going on? this is really annoying

What are your (actually) unpopular modding opinions/practices?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:47 PM PDT

I'll start: I like how some ENB presets look far more than how New Vegas Reloaded looks, and I don't understand where people are coming from when they say that NVR looks better - it looks like Vanilla+, even at its best. I realize that it's jank, doesn't have anti-aliasing, shadows don't work, and it's more than a bit of a performance hog - I just don't care. How it looks is also wholly dependent on the present being used.

I also still use Project Nevada - much to the irritation of mod developer veterans, everywhere. I recognize that it causes far more problems than it fixes, and it can be wholly replaced, but not using it feels too weird for me to do, and I ultimately disable most of its functions in favor of other mods' functions, anyway. I also have a bad habit of not sticking with a modded game for longer than Primm, so, y'know.

I also think that the wasteland is fine as it is, so mods that add more locations and "life" to the wasteland almost clutter it up too much and gets rid of the isolated, quiet western feel.

I've also never experienced a problem with using BethINI, outside of using it alongside Tale of Two Wastelands for obvious reasons. Fight me.

Oh, and I still use the Nexus Mod Manager and make it work, somehow. I'm too lazy, stubborn, stupid, and set in my ways to learn how to use Mod Organizer 2, and somebody on GitHub is still actively maintaining it for whatever reason for idiots like me.

Hope I gave somebody an aneurism after reading all of this.

    Ways to improve render distance?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 10:28 PM PDT

Hello! So I was wondering what things I can do to increase the detail in FNV, I increased some of my settings in fallout_default.ini, and the grids loaded (I only increased this to 7 as I'm worried if I make it to 9 I won't be able to turn it back down). I saw some posts on the web that had things like more foliage being rendered from far away, but I couldn't find this setting in fallout_default.ini, as well a some other ones that increase object distance. Where are all these settings? I can command f and find some of them on these lists with all the things to increase to get a better render distance, but for the most part I can't find them, like that grass render option for example. I know about new Vegas configurator however this didn't seem to work on mo2, and I've heard it messes with your ini files. In game for example when I'm at Hoover dam, the water effects coming from the dam don't show up when I'm in the middle of the damn. It's just small things like that, but they break immersion and I feel as if it wouldn't be impossible to fix. If there's any mods, or certain settings I can change I'd appreciate any kind of advice. Thanks!

I'm slightly confused about "cesar's terms"

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 10:02 PM PDT

To begin with, i want to kill "cesar" to complete the best ending of charles in the return to sender mission. The problem is I'm stuck with an information, after I get the platinum chip, there's was a guy of cesar's legion to invite to their plans, so i find that as an opportunity, until one of the dialogues of ceaser said that "i want to talk the mighty ceaser"(as far as I remember), This Mighty ceaser is legate lanius himself(the spiritual sucessor of ceaser's) or the true ceaser? Because the only guy in this game who talked with this deepness about the ceaser's legion was only the charlie from Charlie station.

Game very choppy at 60 FPS

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:05 PM PDT

I am using TTW, and unless I literally uncap my FPS, it's very choppy. It's at a constant 60 FPS, but the game isn't smooth at all.

When uncapped, FPS fluctuates between 110-70 FPS, and I don't want to play uncapped because I believe it may cause stutters.

I am using a light load order, just gun mods really. I am using the essentials like NVTF, NVAC, etc. I am also using an ENB, and I have played around with uninstalling it and it doesn't seem to be the issue.

    I have a RTX3080 10Gb VRAM, i7 8700K CPU. I don't think hardware is an issue.

My monitor refresh rate is set to 120 Hz, though when I put it down to 60 it didn't change a thing (still choppy). I disabled/enabled Vsync through the ini and NVidia control panel.

    Any idea's?

The ABCs of ENBs (also, if you don't like them, you're precisely the opinion i wanna hear from)

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:52 PM PDT

I've always avoided them. Never liked the look. That said, I wanted to use/understand them so I had a go at them today.

Initial observations. Shadows are great. Most of the color palette is lovely.

Of course, however, turning off AA (is this mandatory?) has a JARRING effect on the edges of things and how it reacts with motion. Awful. Also, the one I used seemed to have a "lens filter" where it was like putting blurry dust specs on my screen even indoors? OOF. plzno

Is there a super lightweight ENB that has natural looking shadows and tasteful colors, but no filter effects and ideally smoother transitions that replicate AA (or can simply be used with AA)?

Put recs below, thanks. The one I tried is Rudy ENB, since its the most used. Pretty good, especially for being older. But I'd like to tone it down a bit :) no NcrVet ENBs plz ty lol
