    My personal build for fun

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 08:06 AM PST

I'm new this sub and reddit on a whole but I'm glad i found a community of fallout fans. Most ppl i know either didn't play it or weren't big on bethesda games. I started on new vegas, just got the ultimate edition. One of my favorite builds to mess around with is a 10/int/agi/luk build. High critical chance, skill growth and maximum AP for a fun combat experience. Only 1 charisma and 1 endurance skill, strategy and item's are reliant thus making the life or death risk factor more intense. 3 and 3 perception, icr but i boost perception with intense training for more accuracy and use mainly pistols or weapons with low str requirements.

I'm not saying it's a bad ass build.. But lmk what you think and what your personal SPECIAL build is. 🤘🏽🤠🦂

    Trouble Running War Trash

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 07:13 AM PST

I'm trying to play the War Trash mod but every time I launch NV I get the missing masters warning. The mod needs a fallout 3 mod (speedy resources) to run and I have both that mod and 3 downloaded but it still won't work. Suggestions?

Hi guys! I'm pretty new here but I wanted to ask if the modding guide is still up to date? I noticed a few outdated links and such. I just wanted to make sure everything was done correctly.

Why does Mr. House kill off the Kings in a House victory ending?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 11:28 AM PST

In the House ending, House's robots end up killing off the Kings if you encourage the Kings to work with the NCR in GI Blues or if you ignore the quest GI Blues altogether. If you encourage Violence between the NCR and the Kings, House leaves them be. Here's some info from the Fallout wiki:

Ease tensions between NCR and The Kings in G.I. Blues, use your favor to convince The King to make peace with the NCR in Kings' Gambit, complete the endgame quest All or Nothing for Mr. House.

"Accusing The Kings of lying with a foreign invader for their newfound ties to the NCR, Mr. House punished them by ordering their forced removal. The Kings, defiant to the end, were destroyed to the last man by House's Securitrons."

Do not complete the quest G.I. Blues, or ease the tensions with the NCR during G.I. Blues and don't complete Kings' Gambit, complete the endgame quest All or Nothing for Mr. House.

"Flush with his victory, Mr. House sent Securitrons into Freeside, thinking to increase his control over the area. When fighting broke out, The Kings fought valiantly, but were no match for the armored killing machines, and were wiped out to the last man."

But my main source of confusion is this: Why kill off the Kings? If anything, they could be like one of the Casino tribes keeping some order for a particular area. In this case, let the Kings patrol Freeside with the Securitrons just as each of the Casino tribes basically works their corner of Vegas. That way seems quite beneficial, as most of the Freeside populace seems to think highly of the Kings.

Of course, House has an 'all or nothing' mindset when it comes to Vegas, so to a degree it isn't surprising that House has the Kings killed off. Having an army of robots is probably much easier to hold in line than a gang... and House has learned that lesson the hard way given to what happens with Benny, the White Glove Society and the Omertas. Knowing how the King leader likes doing things his own way, I doubt he would have accepted working with House given his independent mindset towards things. And while the Kings were in control of Freeside, there was still rampant crime and thugs roaming around. Perhaps House thinks the Securitrons would be better, and given the remaining post game content, many inhabitants of Freeside are nervous of the Securitrons.

But an element that confuses me is why House acts so heavy handed towards the Kings. If you convince the Kings to work with NCR, House accuses them of working with a foreign invader. I find that to be very hypocritical since House himself signed a treaty with the NCR after they arrived in the Mojave. Of course, House was using the NCR's citizens and resources as a way to claw his way back into power after being dormant for so long.

It seems that most NPC's in the left over post ending game files are shocked that the Kings died, with the exception of the Omertas. Here are some Youtube videos on the cut post game endings.
