In Fallout 4, raiders attack you without any warning. Why?

We learn from Blake Abernathy that raiders come to take their crops all the time. The raiders just show up and take, and Blake's family don't fight back. How come raiders don't give you that option? Fighting puts their life in danger unnecessarily and considering how freaking expensive ammo is, it doesn't make sense for them to be wasting it when they can use fear. Now, when I tell them to f off, it'd make sense for shooting to start, but why waste the lives and bullets?

Also, when we go to the drumlin diner, we meet a guy who does raiderly things. Wolfgang and Simone are chem dealers who would be willing to murder Trudy and her son over a few caps. With a high enough charisma level, you can even avoid violence altogether. So why isn't this the same with other NPCs?

The Marked Men of The Divide are said to be united in pain and hatred of the Bear and Bull for abandoning them. But why/how did that happen? Did the NCR or Legion just forget they stationed all those troops there? Did they not try to find survivors? Also how feral are they?

They have excellent weapons and use them to great effect even with specialty ammo, I can't think of any gouls who can do that while also being feral

    How does Healing Powder work?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 12:24 PM PST

Okay so since the Legion uses healing powders to heal their troops after a battle, it heals them y'know. But when you look at the affects, it takes two Perception, so do they rub it in their eyes, on the wound, eat it, what do they do?

Is there a reason Auto Docs are non-existent on the East Coast?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 05:34 AM PST

Auto Docs seem pretty common (as common as they could be in a Post-Apocalyptic World) on the West Coast of the US, but are nowhere to be seen on the East Coast.
