Animations in Fallout 4 are kind of underappreciated Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:25 AM PST Just that. I recently watched a grabs / executions / sneak kills animation compilation on Youtube and it made me realize how little people talk or care about that. Perhaps because people tend to not play melee characters / die as often in a playthrough? Anyways, here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RujD8C1p3uM&ab_channel=Maikx [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Feb 2021 07:21 PM PST I've been playing fallout the fallout games for a long time, and I'm just a real geek about it. I told my s/o about it, and they said they'd like to give it a go so they could Enjoy it with me. I plan to get him at least three of the games as a gift, but I'm not sure which ones I should get to overall introduce them to the series. Are there any you all would recommend are the best that he starts with? [link] [comments] |
I know it’s screw Preston Garvey, but honestly, FUCK DANIEL AGINCOURT Posted: 26 Feb 2021 04:35 PM PST Ungrateful little shit, "oh I don't like you and I don't think you deserve to be here" with my 8 INT and 100 science yeah dude I'm definitely suited for your snide little comments..you know why you're at project purity? Me. You know who always ends up giving you a gun and saves your sorry ass because you get torn apart by a single feral ghoul? Me. Guy wants to run around and be a smartass even though he's one of the most forgettable characters in Fallout 3, which is a win for him because I always forget how much I hate this dickhead and it sucks cause the devs didn't even add dialogue options to let this guy have it the way the way they should've. "Oh great, it's you" yeah damn straight oh great it's me smh I've never had an NPC get under my skin before Sorry for the rant guys I'm done lmaooo [link] [comments] |
Thoughts on the gunners as a major force in future games ? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 08:45 PM PST The gunners are a preaty strong group when you break them down. They have vertibirds, access to pre war technology and engineers to run them, large number of robots, and more importantly access to satellites. Yes the gunners have access to long range communication outside of Boston. For comparison fallout NV revealed for long distance messages the enclave had to use eye bots as runners post fallout 2, and the only confirmed factions with long range messaging is the bos and maybe institute. Their tactics are smart, taking over overpasses and building satellite dishes at there strongholds to communicate with their main force. I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda said that the main gunner force came in to Boston post f4 and did series damage to the factions after they fought amongst themselves. Thoughts [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Feb 2021 09:00 PM PST THIS IS NOT DONE AND STILL VERY VERY LONG, IF YOU'RE INTERESTED I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ THE ENTIRE THING, IF NOT AT LEAST CHECKOUT MY IDEA FOR A RANDOM ENCOUNTER AT THE VERY BOTTOM UNDER BONUS also if you notice any lore breaking details/ something doesn't make sense please point them out What I think the FO franchise needs is the continuation of the Mojave chapter, there was so much potential for a great storyline that leaving that game without a sequel would, in my eyes be the same as dropping a deuce without wiping. So here is what I think a new fallout game should be like going in this order: introduction factions 1st storyline 2nd creatures 3rd mechanics 4th popular settings/options for gameplay 5th BONUS INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Set: Texas, 2295. The Gunners of the commonwealth, with their plaza destroyed, begin moving west in search of more discarded military tech/weaponry, at the same time the NCR has gained much popularity after their 2nd victory at Hoover dam, with more forces they can begin branching east to get a better foothold on the country. The two factions meet somewhere in the middle of the US. They're weary but do not engage in combat or trade with eachother, high ranking NCR officials are trying to get a go ahead to attack the gunners but other NCR soldiers are strictly against it because they think the NCR needs more allies. The gunners want to try to initiate trade in order gain access to their compounds so they can send in scouts and eventually extraction teams to steal weapons and ammunition from the NCR Then an NCR Ranger squad accidentally stumbled near a Gunner Scout squad, the Rangers began stalking the Gunners and listening to the conversations of the Scouts where they overheard plans to raid the new NCRCF to get a fortified compound and possibly expand their ranks. Immediately they recorded the findings and handed the sitrep to their Commanding Officer, now this is war... The main two factions would be the NCR and the Gunners, along with some other side factions, new and old. These are my faction ideas along with the lore to tie them in. FACTIONS (Obviously some of these aren't original ideas, but are from the old games and are tied into it with all original lore but most of them are original and lore friendly) Super mutants/nightkin- following the massive hoardes of NCR soldiers from the Mojave; Commonwealth mutants also begin to follow the Gunners for the same reasons: so the mutants can have easy Pickens of the soldiers every time they make camp somewhere. Exterminators- a faction with that classic bubbly western ranger attitude. They are a group of Texan settlers who are sick and tired of every camp they set up getting ripped to shreds by deathclaws. They've come together in a mutual bond of their hatred for the mutated Jackson Chameleon to stamp out the deathclaw species one disgusting monster at a time. By scavenging weapons and old suits of t-45 power armor left in the wake of the Brotherhood while sending troops to the east coast, the Exterminators have become a rootin-tootin, laser shootin, Deathclaw slayin, band of badasses. They dawn their suits with deathclaw bones as decorations, and a show of ones will and bravery during a hunt and While tending to the injured after hunting one day, the group noticed a sign with a picture of a dead Ant that said "Martins exterminators, we pester the pest!" The leader of the Exterminators pondered why people of the old world would call upon a mercenary to kill some ants when they could just gun em' down on their own!! But even with that strange notion, the leader felt a deep connection with that sign, and the Exterminators were born. Chinese assault team remnants- during the battle at anchorage, the Chinese were inserting massive amounts of covert operatives as far inland as possible into a bunker purchased from the United States Gov by an old rich couple who were payed off by the Chinese. This was done so that when Anchorage had fallen, the Chinese could launch a full frontal assault from inside and outside the US, effectively cornering the population against the coastlines. But after receiving word of the failure at anchorage, the Chinese let the missiles fly. incidentally, the bunker that was purchased was being sold due to a faulty air ventilation system and satcom was essentially impossible due to the amount of metals in the soil composition above the bunker which was unable to be fixed. This caused the nuclear fallout to be sucked into the bunker, turning every last red commie into another band of rotting, nasty ghouls. Being trapped in a confined space for 200+ years did a number on their psyche, so they emerge from their irradiated time capsule under the assumption that anchorage was a success and its time to begin slaughtering US citizens to make way for, "Wěidà de xīn zhōngguó dìguó," or, the Great New Chinese Empire. This is why the faction will be indefinitely hostile, firing upon any 'US citizen' they encounter. Revivalists- The Enclave was essentially wiped from the face of Earth after their second major defeat in the Capitol Wasteland, but a small group of boys who would sneak around the ruins of the old capitol before Raven Rock was destroyed would often catch a glimpse of the enclave landing their vertibirds. With stars in their eyes, the boys did their homework on the Enclave, following the troops in hiding to watch the light show as the big metal spacemen cut through all kinds of scary monsters with their mighty green lasers!!! For years until adulthood they devised a plan to scavenge some destroyed x-02 suits. Once they had the suits they took em on over to Moira brown and had them fixed right good as new. After entering their brand new power armor suits they began began recruiting people under word that the enclave was back in full force, but these were just rumors to everyone else... they will stop at absolutely nothing to make the trek back west across the wasteland towards California to reconnect with their "roots," leaving nothing but the death of the impure in their wake and if anyone gets in their way they will be promptly incinerated. Brotherhood of Steel: the brotherhood will begin to show in the game after the main storyline is over and enough time has passed for them to see that there is less resistance around them and they are more free to move and recruit. And then of course the NCR, Gunners, raiders, settlers, etc. STORYLINE You start as an NCR prisoner in a small converted prison. You're being woken up by the new NCRCF warden and as he's giving the new prisoners a directive the Gunners invade. You link up with another prisoner and make a break for an emergency exit in the back as the gunners mercilessly slaughter the last few prison guards. On your way out the prisoner helping you tells you to break in to the prisoner item lock up for something to arm yourselves and gives you 10 Bobby pins. Then when you open the prisoner item lockup you find a pip-boy and 2 10MM pistols with ammunition. Then you're free at last. throughout the story you can side with gunners and sneak around NCR facilities at night unlocking supply caches for them to loot. eventually being trusted enough to be tasked with assassinating president Kimball to decimate morale of the NCR at long range during an event called the Frontier Morale Boost Assembly, where the president will give an address at the new NCR controlled areas. You will take on a very long range vantage point and be given a 'Specialized Long Range Rifle' Which has no sway and increased range. in concert with a strike team who will create an explosive diversion in the area allowing you to infiltrate the compound and retrieve the NCR's plans for fortifying the area, allowing the Gunners to take hold in these positions first, and set up traps. OR side with the NCR where you'll be sent on spy missions to Gunner camps, plant explosives in gunners weapon lock ups, etc. Eventually after reaching a certain level which will coincide with NCR rank if sided with, you will be given orders from President Kimball to locate a prewar experimental fighter jet inside the old Dyess AFB that has a resemblance to the real world B-2 Bomber. After accruing the parts, payload and people needed to fix it, you will be given a 'Specialized Flight Suit' that regulates breathing and increases AP, then you enter the jet with a pilot crew and are tasked with bombing each Gunner facility to the last man. After the main storyline, you can continue with radiant quests to clear out the remaining enemy faction at certain locations. or have the option to bring both sides together in an imperials/stormcloaks style meeting. You can choose this option by having a high charisma or intelligence when the president orders you to find the bomber. Saying something along the lines of, "Mr. President the pen is always mightier than the sword, look around you at this world and tell me I'm wrong." where upon he will agree to a meeting with a Gunner representative. He will task you with clearing and marking a viable LZ for Bear Force One. Once completed you will be sent to infiltrate the Newly fortified second Gunners compound where the Gunner bosses have just now got settled in and attempt to reason with them. Or you can re-route power in the facility to the loud speaker and address them indirectly, doing this will have pitfalls in dialogue that cause you to be attacked and surely killed. But, they are impressed with the skill and bravery so they will be willing to hear you out, after bribing them with barter, or lying about a made up super mega alien overlord army that might destroy what's left of Earth with a max charisma and speech skill, you can convince them to have a meeting with the NCR president. In their compound you can find files that contain sensitive intel on the gunners, if while sneaking through you happen upon it; it too can be used to convince the Gunners to send a rep. Whichever way, the falling climax, the sight of the famous Bear Force One making touchdown, where hundreds of NCR troops and Gunner goons stand with jittery trigger fingers and hope in their hearts. But as the two men meet and shake hands, a giant Boulder thrown by a super mutant behemoth crushes them both, as the troops begin to panic fire, accidentally killing their own people, colossal scores of super mutants, a few nightkin, as well as centaurs and mutant hounds begin to pour on from all sides through the dust and concrete smoke, the Gunners having scavenged plenty of mini guns from the Commonwealth make short work of the centaurs, hounds, and some of the behemoths. But they are running short on ammunition and getting bogged down quickly, the gunners that aren't running out of ammo are getting smashed into bleeding piles of meat and bone by the raw strength of the mutants. The NCR troops began to scramble for nearby buildings to get a vantage point, few made it, the others left in the field took their last stand and charged into the monstrous crowd knowing full well they were about to be dismembered and discarded like a thanksgiving turkey. Once the retreating troops found a point of fire, they took aim and began to lay waste to the giant green demons with their adrenaline fueled laser accuracy. The nightkin are ordered to retreat by their leader, the rest however are killed swiftly by the Rangers, and of course you. After the battle is over you have the option to appoint another named character that has positive affinity to the NCR as president, and the Gunners will no longer be hostile. But one in particular will be suggested for the ability to continue a canonical storyline. The Canonical storyline to this game would of course be the "peaceful" ending. once you appoint someone, they will ask you to go on 3 ranger mission to scout where the mutants are holding up. It will be a simple: 1-find where it is 2-figure out how to get in 3-get in and find a weakness On the 3rd mission you will be knocked out and taken deep into the facility where the mutants take humans to feed, upon waking up you'll be greeted to a familiar looking nightkin hoisting one of your scouts up to bite a chunk out of his face, and continues to deglove the man, tearing his muscle clean from the bone as his now disfigured and opened skull struggles to scream, you bend over to puke and as you look back up he's staring at you. It walks closer, and towers over you like a god. Then the demon, dripping with chewed bits of ligament and fresh blood, begins a cold, calculated story with sinister overtones. He says his name is Keene, and he comes from a town over in Nevada. Jacob's town he calls it, founded by some kind of, "peaceful" mutant named Marcus. Says a courier helped some scientists in the town modify a standard mk. II Stealthboy. Once it was done Keene attempted to steal the modified Stealthboy, but the courier convinced him to take his leave. After leaving Jacobstown Keene roamed the wastes with a heavy sorrow weighing on his twisted nightkin consciousnesses, he felt over exposed for so long. Being bathed in sunlight and looked at. Disgusting, then his embarrassment from the other nightkin mocking him for being dissuade by that old courier. He says he felt so weak, "Punier than any stupid human." He says. He eventually shifted from despair and sadness to rage. Utterly blind rage, every human he saw he battered them, broke them, sometimes he didn't even eat them he would just tear them in half at the waist like a strawberry donut just to watch their human entrails spill and tangle at his feet. When his closest nightkin followers continued to tease him he point blank executed them both in the middle of a feeding session, and he was so upset he didn't even finish the woman he was eating. All he knows is killing, he decided to return to Jacobstown, he attempted to storm the scientists lab, but the veteran wastelander Marcus tackled Keene and beat him nearly to death, Marcus ordered him into exile. But in his enraged state he slips a combat knife from his armor and plunges it into Marcus's chest delivering a mortal wound, all of the other mutants saw the dried blood from long months of chronically murdering people and even his own kind. They know his anger and lust for killing are much deeper than he lets on and they are truly afraid of Keene. He says he gathered the mutants, and ordered the rest of the nightkin to find Tabitha and Rhonda of the former black mountain if they are still alive and ask for their help. Once they found her she agreed to restart the broadcast at black mountain to a recruitment beacon for nightkin and mutants alike. Once they assembled the small mutant regiment aimed to attack the NCR knowing that in these number it's only a matter of time before the NCR formed their own. Upon observing the humans at various NCR occupied locations they seemed to be packing up, getting ready to send troops somewhere. Keene ordered the nightkin to continue reconnaissance while the mutants scavenged for Stealthboys and food. He gave a directive that night at the mutant camp after the mutants finished feeding on their choice of little humans. After following the humans at a great enough distance to avoid detection, and sending nightkin scouts with Stealthboys to intimately track and kidnap the humans, they found a sign, as the mutants and nightkin passed they all tried to pronounce the word on the sign, but perplexingly none of them really felt right, some got ornry and fought each other about it but Keene demanded they contain themselves and stay vigilant because the humans were spreading out. When the humans began bedding down in... Teeee-uhhh-as? They spread far and wide to find valuable salvage to build homes and fortifications. The mutants stayed In place along the roads into Te?as Until the humans began fighting eachother. This confused Keene because it was only the NCR they were following, so he grabbed a bag of stealth boys and set off to investigate. They were humans the NCR was fighting, but in different armor. He had never seen these people before, these people were the Gunners. While observing, a strange mutant hound approached him, as he was studying this odd creature and wondering how the other dogs haven't been mutanized, a group of mutants he didn't recognize approached the hound, he was in shock! So much so that he yelled out, "H-hey!! Stop!!" The mutants whipped their heads around to see nothing. Confused they looked at each other, but Keene deactivates his stealthboy, making the other mutants even more confused by his blueish tone. They talked, luckily for Keene pretty well. He invited them back to the road camp where they feasted on NCR and Gunner farmers and guards. He learned that there was a whole other community of mutants coming and they were just a scout band sent to follow the Gunner forces, they decided to follow them because they have just enough fire power to have great things to steal, but not powerful enough to overwhelm them. Keene ends his rather gory tale with, "Because after all what's a tasty human screaming over a camp fire if you have a bullet in your head? HAHAHA" But Keene didn't kill you because he knows your aptitude, he's... seen people like you before. Killing you won't do, you will be his tool. He forces you to leave under supervision of some nightkin guards, you will rejoin your forces and lie about your where abouts to lead the NCR and the gunners to the combined mutant camps and overtaken business where they will be wiped out leaving no standing power in the wasteland but the mutants. OR you could stealth kill your nightkin escorts and report back to the now NCR/Gunner compound and debrief. Letting them know to assemble forces at once to assault the Mutants. (at this point is where siding with the Revivalists mentioned above comes in) If you joined the revivalists you can ask for their assistance, but if not you'll have to scavenge the Barren Wastes for the experimental fighter jet, and if you already have it and you killed the Gunners with the fighter jet, you have to find more ammunition for it. You can then lead a team of scouts to find all of the mutant compounds and mark them to be bombed, you then would have to enter the EFJ (possibly for the 2nd time, if you killed the gunners you have already completed this portion of the quest and have the experimental fighter jet at the NCRs disposal.) And bomb all of the mutant compounds. This completes the main storyline, after its completion the Brotherhood of Steel begin to trickle out from the now somewhat more empty areas, less resistance means more looting, more looting means more firepower. With ghouls and other local fauna being the only prominent offense to the Brotherhood they can begin to move elsewhere, find different kinds of tech, scrap, and weapons. CREATURES Deathclaws Radscorpions Ghouls Ants Cazadores Mutant hounds Centaurs Emperors- these are scorpions who's natural DNA was dominant to that of the modified DNA produced by the radiation, leaving them the closest molecular model to its ancestor. It is slightly smaller than the rad scorpion, but due to its fully black exoskeleton and thinner body type, they're hard to spot at night and it makes absolutely no noise when approaching. Also because of its smaller size, digging into the petrified sediment makes their claws much stronger at pinching, enough to clip your arm off like a dirty toe-nail! Mutcoon- thanks to nearly 220 years of exponential mutation, the rabies virus has turned into a brain-leeching parasite! It controls the neural pathways of the raccoons you find in Texas to carry out its designated purpose in life. To eat... whatever it can. You can contract the rabies, but you better find Antivenom, because since human genes can't handle the modified Rabies, 3 days ingame time and you'll drop dead like a sack of taters! Rollasaur- some egghead cowboy figured he don't need no military protecting him! He started wrangling up armadillos and pumping them full of some some military-grade performance enhancing chems. Overtime the babies were taking less time to develop after conception, each set taking fewer and fewer months. The babies were also swollen with muscle and naturally addicted to the drugs, and during the course of the cowboy scientists experimentation with the increasingly large armadillos, he got wind from an old military buddy in the Capitol who knew the bombs were coming. He bought a protectron, and began writing a program that would convert his own thought pattern and memories into code that could then be interpreted by the program, stored into files and installed on the protectron, only to leave his awkward creation to bask in the warmth Nuclear fire, his lab was just strong enough to shield their containment from the initial blast, but not to keep them in afterwards. where upon they exited their containment to repopulate the armadillos of the Barren Wastes, one new genetic anomaly at a time. 218 years after nuclear devastation these creatures can grow up to be almost as big as a super mutant behemoth!!! Some highly experienced scouts say they've seen Deathclaws run when they hear that distinct sound of a giant stone rolling down the path, if it doesn't roll right over you, it will surely open up and devour you whole... Radcat- Bobcats of Texas were mostly wiped out due to radiation, but small clowders formed and began to move in packs against their nature. This forced the animals to start inbreeding. Inbreeding with mutated genes causes these kitties to be born with longer legs and toes, larger teeth and claws due to their increasing primal hunger, and a more downward sloped neck, this allowed them to reach the ground for smaller prey, and gives them a truly nightmarish, humanoid, starving alien looking figure. (Imagine the sirenhead body re textured to be a cat and walk on all 4) MECHANICS Regular movement will be displayed as walking, about the same speed as FNV or FO3 along with the sprint mechanics of FO4. No more clunky jogging Your carry weight is only modified by strength when using a backpack, which will be an essential item because without it your carry weight will always be 120. But with it equipped it will add 80 to your carry weight, giving you a base of 200 with it equipped, with each level of strength raising its capacity by 10. Along with perk bonuses Speaking of perks and attributes, skills will comeback but be broken down further, speech and barter are now combined under what I would call the 'confidence' skill, sneak is now a percentage chance based on the sneak skill like in the originals. there would also be new 'skills' under luck such as the joker skill. Every 10 levels represents a tier that unlocks unique dialogue puns and jokes to crack if your speech or barter isn't good enough in an important conversation. Basically restoring originals and improving them, adding new things. making them more practical, also adding things that add more diversity to the skill tree like a lootable 4leaf clover that improves pickpocket chance by 30% Doors and containers will open farther than in FO4 and reveal a small portion of the inside with a door opening animation to go with it Interior cells that have less than 2 floors will no longer have a load screen, so no more loading into a building, walking all the way to the top just to jump down in power armor and not have to load back out of that same building. More immersive enter exit i guess, not sure how this one would work. Weapon jamming can happen and will have custom animation to clear the malfunction. The probability of weapon jamming in combat is modified by the luck attribute. Item CND returns, fix with scrap or the same item. Pip boy colors, stickers, and special lootable knob replacers. Fully customizable pip-boy, with the option to repaint it, and change the knobs/dials to unique or silly ones like a cabinet door knob or a Nuka Cola Quantum cap. POPULAR SETTINGS/OPTIONS Ammo weight toggle (This next one i think would be the most annoying to do as a dev lol) Character voice options, in character creation you'll have the option to pick from a list of common themed voices like a scruffy cowboy, monotone scientist, robot voice, and normal ones. Weapon smoke toggle Lootable Spent casings toggle Static weapon/armor mods BONUS Also had an idea for a random encounter where you find a clean cut good looking man named 'The Ranger' dressed like a cowboy with a 6 gun in hand, standing over a dead ghoul named 'Texas Red' dressed like a cowboy. If you loot Texas Red he has a unique 6-gun with 20 notches going down the barrel simply named 'Texas Red's 6-gun.' If you talk to The Ranger he tells you he's been looking for that sonofabitch for a long time now, and he feels real good to have gunned him down. You can ask him about his gun and he will do the whole, "oh this old thing? Make your offer stranger." Which will allow you to pass a speech check to offer a ridiculously low price, and if passed he will give it to you, when you look at it (I'm sure you've guessed what it's name is and what it looks like by now but if you don't) it's named Big Iron. Allowing you to have both Texas Red's 6-gun and Big Iron. [link] [comments] |

Do you think the order in which you play each Fallout game affects your opinion on them? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 12:08 PM PST I got into the Fallout franchise by watching some let's plays of Fallout 4. But I didn't have a good enough PC at the time, so the first one I actually played is Fallout 2. After that I went on to New Vegas, then 3, 1, and 4 in that order. New Vegas ends up being my favorite, with Fallout 2 comes as a close second. I could appreciate what 3 and 4 try to accomplish, but they just don't feel fallout enough for me when my expectation was shaped by the first two games I played. Sometimes I wonder what if I played 4 or 3 first? I might still consider New Vegas to be the better one but would probably like the Bethesda ones a little more? I've heard many people who played 3 first had a hard time getting into New Vegas, while those who began with the classic Fallout tend to dislike 3 and 4 with a passion. But again I met someone who loved Fallout 2 most and still preferred 4 to New Vegas, so I guess it also largely depends on personal taste. In what order did you play all the Fallout games? Do you think changing that order would influence how you perceive each game? [link] [comments] |

Does anybody know about any mods where I can power a settlement without running any wires? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 07:45 PM PST I play on PC. When I played Fallout 4 on Xbox I had a mod where I could place down one power box (it looked the same as a switch) and it would power the whole settlement. So far I have not found any mods that do the same on PC. I was wondering if anybody knows about any such mods. [link] [comments] |

I think of Fallout 3 and 4 as "good but not great" games Posted: 26 Feb 2021 10:18 PM PST I understand the criticisms of the main stories for Fallout 3 and 4, and frankly I agree with many of them. But that doesn't change the fact that I had a lot of fun with them and especially enjoyed exploring the Capital Wasteland and Commonwealth. The writing in the main stories (especially the pre-Broken Steel ending for Fallout 3) has enough flaws for me to withhold "great" status, but the world is interesting enough for me to still grant them "good" status. My First Time Playing Through Fallout 3 Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:24 PM PST I'm on a trek to finish fallout 3 and new vegas for the first time ever and just today I finished the main story of Fallout 3, this is how it went. So I started the game as I start every saturday morning, in between a woman's legs. Jk, I was wheeled away from the corpse formally known as my mother and was aged to a 1 year old baby and made sure to become the most charismatic bastard ever so I can talk my way out of every situation. Eventually I was at my 10 year b day and had a grand ole time, I got a pip boy, I saw a gang get formed, I shot some bugs, it was the best then I took a nap and woke up 6 years later to take a test. I saved Amata from the tunnel snakes by telling them she was fat then I got the best news of my life, I got my dream job, burger flipper. Another 3 years went by and daddy o busted outta the vault and some guy called Jonas got clipped for helping him. Amata foolishly helped me escape, I killed her pop for being annoying and nearly did the same to her when she complained but decided to let her live cause I didn't wanna waste the ammo. Eventually I found my way out of the vault and into the most horrifying place in the world, D.C. But luckily someone had nuked the whole place so I didn't get my pip boy pulled by some corner boys. I headed to megaton and got the sheriff killed by some terrorist who wanted me to blow up the town. I got info from moriarty that dad was at a news station and headed there through the D.C metro. Having lived in the DMV my entire life I know firsthand how scary the metro can be, 200 years later and would you believe there were still crackheads in the stations? Now they called themselves raiders but they tried to kill me just like sherm heads. I helped the brotherhood kill some shreks and talked with 3 dog, a black man fighting the good fight ✊. I thought they would cast someone from southeast to play this black stereotype but I was wrong, they cast.. well I dunno who they casted but he sounded like shit, also like every other npc or character is voiced by 1 guy. But I digress, after running some errands he told me to go to rivet city once I got there I met Dr. Li and she did everything but get down on her knees and suck my father's absent dick, the gyst was he was a genius and in the lincoln memorial but guess what?.. no he wasn't. I tracked dad to the cut and from the cut I tracked him to vault 112 and got locked into a oculus rift by an evil overseer and instead of playing fallout 4 vr like a sensible man, he was torturing all the vault dwellers in the sim. I made some kid cry and got some major flashbacks to my parents cause I broke up a marriage. Eventually I started a covid-19 outbreak in the sim, jk but a bunch of chinese people did kill the vault dwellers and I left betty to her own devices and had a chat with dad back in the real world. Back at the lincoln memorial I ran some errands for dad, we bonded a lot as he made me do all his bitch work while he banged Dr. Li who we picked up from Rivet City. But oh no! The illuminati attacked and I had to fight my way back to project purity just to see dad leave me one more time, but this time he left for the after life and me and Dr. Li ran to The Citadel to get help from the brotherhood of steel. Sarah Lyons did her job and remained the baddest bitch in capital wasteland and her dad gave me a rundown about something. Honestly I didn't pay much attention but headed to find a G.E.C.K at Vault 87. I tried heading through the lamplight caves but a child threatened my life and racially profiled me, Mungo is an adult's n-word. Mayor Macready said the only way I could enter Little Lamplight was if I rescued his friends from slavers. Ima be 100% honest if the game gave me the option I woulda pulled a Lee Harvey Oswald and assassinated a politician but it didn't so I headed to Paradise Falls. I know the game didn't want me killing kids BUT... fast forward a couple of years in Boston and I blew Macready's fucking head off during a botched robbery of The Third Rail, but that's besides the point. I had deja vu when I got to the checkpoint but instead of saving people from slavery the guy wanted me to sell someone into it. I immediately shot him with the mesmerizer thinking I could just sell him into slavery and he fucking exploded. I really don't know why that happened, I think cause I had the Bloody Mess Perk but I really couldn't tell you. Eventually I realized my bigotry and stopped trying to enslave the black slaver and just captured a sniper from the minefield and got entrance into the coolest place in the wasteland. I'm gonna be honest I'm used to fallout 4 where I got 100 different ways to make fat cap stacks so playing this game was a bit of a shock. Nobody fucking pays me, nobody even seems to have any gratitude what so ever. Fucking Moira Brown gives me literal garbage to run her errands, the railroad offered me the favor of god to not give Harkness to The Institute. I save vault 101 from an evil overseer and Amata had the audacity to banish me for killing him, so I slaughtered the entire vault.. then reloaded a save cause again they're not worth the bullets. I really got off point here, what I'm trying to say is it was a relief to actually get paid for once, I mean sure I'm selling people into slavery but atleast I'm getting paid. If I had known people in The Capital Wasteland were this stingy with caps I woulda taken up Mr. Burke's offer to blow up Megaton at the beginning of the game. Anyways, yall better call me Honest Abe cause I freed some slaves. I made my way to Vault 87, freed Fawkes, got the G.E.C.K then it finally happened. I got the most immersive experience I've ever had in a video game, I got jumped and robbed in D.C, just like real life. Now all I need is to hit up a GoGo and get some carryout after and it'll be just like my real life experiences with D.C. After the enclave beat my ass and pulled my drip, they gave it all back and asked me to meet with president computer. It took me 2 minutes to convince him he was a dickhead and he went ham on Raven Rock and let me free. Outside Fawkes was whooping some enclave soldiers and I took him as a companion and made him carry all the power armor I was stealing from the enclave soldiers I killed, I made a lotta stacks offa that. I made it back to The Citadel and The Lyon's Pride and I stormed Project Purity aided by Liberty Prime. I killed General Autumn and his goons in like 3 minutes then I was faced with an impossible decision. Go in and activate the purifier myself or send Sarah to do it. I reflected on my entire playthrough, heroically saving Amata from Butch and his gang, seflesslessly allowing Sheriff Simms to die for no reason, preserving Harkness' secret and allowing him to stay and defend a boat for the rest of his immortal life cause he's a robot man. I remembered playing VR with my buddies in Vault 112 and rescuing those child slaves from Joseph Kony in Paradise Falls. The heartfelt talk I had with President Eden was fresh in my mind, we were men from 2 different worlds. His world began when a sweaty nerd programmed him and mine began when my dad raw dogged my mom. We were enemies but in the end we understood each other better than any friends could. He was a beta male program and I was an alpha chad and he had to bend to my will and go against his internal programming and slaughter his own comrades. Sarah Lyons.. Sarah Lyons was the one person I treasured most of all, egotistical, poorly rendered and blonde, she was truly my best friend. Maybe the real Purity Project were the friends we made along the way.. but I had gotten the game of the year edition and still had 5 dlcs left to play so I decided Sarah would have to bite the big one in my place but then saw the option to send Fawkes instead. What a lucky break, I had half a mind to kill him the second he gave me the G.E.C.K but again I DIDN'T WANT TO WASTE THE AMMO. And now here was supplying me with the dub. I sat through the cutscene and was disrespected for the last time, this time by Ron Perlman who implied the only way I would have been a hero is if I died for no fucking reason like my dad did. Like Jesus, why the hell would I kill me or Sarah when there's a guy in the room who's literally immune to radiation? Fuck you Perlman, that's why you got shot in the neck in Sons Of Anarchy, killing your damning beautiful voice. Anyways yeah, I beat Fallout 3, pretty good game. [link] [comments] |

Can you turn raider outposts into normal settlements without pissing off the gangs? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:42 PM PST I have a lot of raider outposts in the commonwealth (i have a full blown raider character) but not enough settlements to provide food to them. Is there anyway i can make a raider settlement into a normal settlement and force that settlement to send supplies to nuka world? [link] [comments] |
(fallout 4 nuka world) Is the Nuka world DLC legit worthless to a good guy playthrough? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 08:26 AM PST I got GOTY version, Found out about Ace operator perk (That is 25 % more damage with Silencer thats is superbb). But i cant get the perk being a good guy since i have to raid my own settlements(I have all settlements already) Apparently you could raid settlements before meeting preston and once you finish power play do open season and meet preston to avert all hate from preston. All dialogue options to raid your settlements are just bad guy lines. Can i not get ace operator by being a good guy? [link] [comments] |
Can you refuse the bomb collar quest inside the Lost Hills bunker? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 10:07 AM PST Hello, I'm currently midgame in New Vegas and starting the path towards the Brotherhood. Heard something about a bomb collar that you're force equipped after accepting the quest. Can refuse the quest, even if it gets you killed or attacked or is it something you can't refuse? Trying to keep on the good graces of the NCR this playthrough. [link] [comments] |

Question regarding FarHarbor and the base game. Posted: 26 Feb 2021 10:27 PM PST When you're for enough in the story in both the base game and Far Harbor, you have the option of reporting Acadia to the various factions, the railroad isn't a problem because they just send someone there, the institute isn't a problem because there's a unique NPC for reporting Acadia that isn't part of the main story, but the Brotherhood of steel's NPC is Captain Kells, the character the gives you most of your quests, and the game will have you report Acadia first before anything else, it's not even a dialogue option, the second you talk to captain Kells your character starts the process of reporting Acadia, is there any way to avoid this or is the only safe option to do the Far Harbor DLC after the main story? How do you feel about dual wielding weapons in fallout? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 07:21 PM PST It may not seem like a big deal, but I think dual wielding certain weapons can make for a more challenging experience. Would this be too much like Wolfenstein if emplemented in the next game? [link] [comments] |
Does the Brotherhood of Steel focus on improving itself with implants and prostheses? Posted: 26 Feb 2021 11:17 AM PST |

Posted: 26 Feb 2021 05:45 AM PST How much of the story is canon? We know that Brotherhood apparently has a midwest outpost in 3 and there were scribes found by the legion east around Arizona, but because tactics has not been properly confirmed, the reason for Brotherhood past anywhere that isn't close(ish) to California feels sloppy due to just having an offhand mention by one character (Rotchild) as a foundation. Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:37 AM PST Bought a PS5, installed Base Fallout 4 through PS+ and I want to know if buying the GOTY on PSN will just give me the DLC or if it'll install as a new game on my console library entirely. If that's the case will my saves from the base game transfer over or will I have to start over from the beginning? [link] [comments] |
