Posted: 17 Jan 2021 01:09 PM PST It just feels really weird that after not leaving our neighborhood hoping to one day serve our grandchildren, and then having a complete mental breakdown when the Sole Survivor suddenly walks out of time as if 210 years hadn't just passed, the game then tells us that Codsworth "tolerates" us. And if you ask him if he wants to accompany us he says in a very bored voice, "As you wish sir." It just seems really weird that this happens. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2021 11:07 AM PST A big hats off to the modders. I have never seen a mod make such a difference. Never seen a fallout game run as smooth. My rtx 3090 is loving it. Well done [link] [comments] |
Fallout 4’s Striker legendary effect is dark if you think about it. Posted: 17 Jan 2021 06:49 PM PST If you don't know what the striker is, it's a legendary Fat Man that shoots modified bowling balls. You can find in in Beaver Creek Lanes in the Far Harbor DLC. When you find it, it comes with the mod preinstalled, and with the kneecapper effect. The kneecapper effect is a legendary that has a 50% chance to cripple the target's legs. If you read the terminal found nearby, it was made for a friend that was enlisted in the Navy. He crippled his legs, and therefore could not bowl. It's kind of funny that a weapon made for a crippled sailor has the kneecapper effect. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2021 03:25 AM PST There was an bug while rescuing ted gunderson at the ultra luxury hotel last night and ted stopped following me. I could not continue the quest because he was not following. and a great idea came to my mind. I pushed Ted all the way to his father. and this process took me 20 minutes. I do not regret. Do you guys think fallout should come to the Nintendo switch Posted: 17 Jan 2021 09:55 AM PST They can do Skyrim and doom on the switch so why not fallout. If you agree, which fallout do you wanna see on the switch. If you think it won't or shouldn't happen, why? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2021 03:50 AM PST While playing the I could make you care mission in fallout new Vegas I have ran into a problem. I have both the pulse gun and the farming data but when I go to the elder Veronica walks up to him looks like she's about to speak and then doesn't. When I go to him and speak to him he has no dialogue options to show him either the pulse gun or the farming data. [link] [comments] |
Fallout NV companion system VS Fallout 4. Posted: 17 Jan 2021 11:57 PM PST Which one feels better. I personally preferred fallout NV because the companions quest is triggered by random events mostly and it actually feel like you are traveling together, but it's still possible to speed run if you just want the companion upgrade. In FO4 it just feels like a grind, especially since it takes so long to get idolized unless you mod so you can either grind with lockpicking/ or get more affinity. I like the option to speedrun if it's my 5th playthrough. Also do you prefer having companions or going solo. [link] [comments] |
Returning 76 player looking for advice Posted: 18 Jan 2021 03:03 AM PST Haven't played since they added NPCs, but now I'll be a level 1 new player Just.. wondering if there's anything to keep in mind and a long hiatus [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2021 06:14 PM PST They used to be so secretive and uptight. And almost gave off the impression they were running a massive underground technocracy. But that illusion is just gone in recent games. They feel overused to me because Bethesda knows that the brotherhood is likeable and popular. Mabey the enclave will make a grand return one day and give me what i need. who knows? Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2021 05:03 PM PST This was my [21f] first video game after getting a new laptop for Christmas! Someone recommended it to me because of my love for cowboys and interest in RDR2 (which is way too big for my computer), and I ended up putting in 80 hours over just 3 weeks! I completed all the quests (except the Legion aligned ones), most of the unmarked ones, cleared out Quarry Junction, killed Ceaser via stealth, discovered all of the locations, and everything else! I had such a fun time!!! Do y'all have any recommendations for what I could play next? I read Fallout 4 isn't as good as New Vegas... I really want to play Skyrim, but it's too expensive for me :( [link] [comments] |
The Frontiers beginning gun range "course" is hilariously bad Posted: 17 Jan 2021 05:45 PM PST I know its very early and I've only just finished a few rounds of the gun course but boy oh boy is this an irritating intro. Bravo on the hard work of the modders of course, genuinely, but this mini quest is terribly frustrating and rubs salt in the wound. You're built up as the legendary courier who should be amazing at everything and a member of this new faction challenges you to a scored gun course. After completion it insults you with a little message and gives a perk that improves your character because I did so bad at the course. The problem is the game is not at all designed to compensate for the precise movements needed to do it. There was even a part with dropping grenades and pressure plates that I just ended up running through and falling down about 10 times because its not possible to do properly, causing multiple stun lock fall downs because I kept triggering pressure plates every time my character animation tried to get up. Maybe I'm getting too worked up over this and maybe this is supposed to be some kind of immersion thing, but it comes off as a pretty godawful design point and the opposite of immersive. The best I got was about 400 and the score you're supposed to beat is over 3000? Like this dude is a demigod, they should just dub him a one man army for their faction. Anyways dumb rant I already know, but just found this pretty odd and out of place for a fallout game. I'm still excited for this new giant mod and the world and story it will offer. I just hope the entire thing isn't awkward tight courses and berating insults because you don't shoot like an essential npc on crack. [link] [comments] |
Crazy "The Frontier" mod experience Posted: 17 Jan 2021 04:58 PM PST I kust had the weirdest experience in "the frontier" I went into a subway tunnel, found a door to the lower levels of a facility filled with ghouls and wendigos, on my way just trying to escape that hellhole, found a vault inside the facility and emerged into a shopping center way south of where I went in. This mod is a whole new game and I love it [link] [comments] |
Which would you prefer? BIG DLC, or brand new game. Posted: 18 Jan 2021 04:16 AM PST So the idea is, that the team decide to make a new big project for the single player part of Fallout series. Some ideas comes up.

Is there any way to save mid quest in 76? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 12:09 AM PST I've returned to 76 after about a year because I heard about the new updates and I was able to make my way through most storyline quests so far but lately I've encountered some hella annoying glitches when one character or objective related to the quest stops responding or is just generally broken and doesn't activate a mandatory part of the quest (for example in one of the last quests I did there's an objective "pick up the object that ra-ra dropped" but she drops nothing) so I found out that the only way to fix the quest is to leave the world and let it reload everything but the real issue is that when I leave the world it resets all my quest progress (btw idk if it means much but this has been a problem since fun and games and I'm currently doing buried treasure) [link] [comments] |
Why is the Brotherhood Expeditionary Force to Appalachia only three people? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 03:48 AM PST https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Brotherhood_First_Expeditionary_Force Guys, this hit me hard. I mean, of all the people the Lost Hill BOS could send to Appalachia, they could only send like 3 ppl? What the hell gone wrong, like the rest got picked up by raiders or abandoned the BOS or something? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2021 03:17 AM PST (Repost of my original post in r/falloutnewvegas) Decided to get Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition on MMOGA bc it was just 4 Euro's. Now I need a basic idea of the game and for character creation. I am used to the fallout 4 character system with the perks and without the skills and traits. So i just need to know what to use. Also, i want to avoid spoilers as much as possible to not ruin my first playtrough. I have all the dlc and would also like to know when to start them and what they add ( The only thing I know is that old world blues adds new traits ) Thanks! [link] [comments] |
FO4 broken NPC bug (plus mole-bloodbug) Posted: 18 Jan 2021 02:58 AM PST Could somebody help me fix Piper? Tried relaunching the game but she's stuck in that state. During last session a mirelurk went soaring right in my face (sth must've glitched their unburrow) and I think that's when this happened. /watch?v=phNczyPiMFw&feature=youtu.be If the youtube link is an inconvenience for you, she's stuck on her knee and teleports instead of walking. My character recognizes her bug and stares down when I interact. Whatever is up with these bugs I've been seeing lately, I hope my save file isn't broken... [link] [comments] |

Posted: 18 Jan 2021 01:53 AM PST I have 3 characters in fallout 4 since I redownloaded it a few weeks back, and I'd like to go back to my oldest save, but whenever I go into "load" on the menu it only shows "Show all saves" and my most recent character Extra info: I'm on a ps4 pro, haven't deleted any saves and have never had any issues like this before Can anyone help? Posted: 17 Jan 2021 12:50 PM PST Im looking to get into the fallout series and I was wondering if I should get 4 or 76. I just purely want to have fun with a new game. If you recommend another fall out I should start with thats ok too. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2021 01:39 AM PST How many Vertibirds did the Brotherhood bring with them in Fallout 4? I'm writing the next chapter in my fan fiction and the question has come up. It's important to note that the fiction is based on the Minutemen beating the Institute then pushing the Brotherhood out of the Commonwealth. Since Elder Maxson isn't seen during the Brotherhood vs Minutemen "Defend the Castle" mission, I'm assuming he managed to escape on a Vertibird (hopefully) which itself had an escort that went back to the Citadel with him, but obviously leaving both a standing force of Knights, scribes and Vertibirds in the Commonwealth. Game engine limitations aside, just how many Vertibirds are there lore wise? Right now I assume around seventy though this may be a little high. I'm also assuming they're using something like fusion cores or similar for fuel as after the Prydwen is destroyed I never see a location where they could realistically fuel loads of flying aircraft. Recap - 1) How many Vertibirds did the Brotherhood bring to the Commonwealth? 2) Could any escape the Commonwealth and how many is realistic? 3) How many are left in the Commonwealth after the Prydwen is destroyed? How can you tell what a Companion's Affinity level is? Posted: 18 Jan 2021 01:20 AM PST I'm new to Fallout 4 and gaming in general. I'd like to know how I can see what a companion's affinity level is? I'm playing on a PC using a controller. Any help is greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
What are your top 3 favorite, (and least favorite), factions in the Fallout universe? Posted: 17 Jan 2021 01:01 PM PST Favorite: 1) Free States I love pretty much everything about these guys. I love how were one of the only factions in universe to rebel against the pre-war government. The fact that they were supposed to be conspiracy theorists makes it all the better when they ended up being right about everything. (Plus their anti-big government message is increasingly relevant irl) 2) Responders Hate me if you must, but two of my favorite factions are from 76. I love these guys. They're like the Minutemen if they were competent, if not for the scorched they probably would have been able to rebuild Appalachia at the very least. In fact, without those big ass bats they very well could've become the first major nation akin to the NCR 3) The Boomers I would've said Vault 81 or just post-war dwellers in general but there is something special about a group of stuck up dwellers hell bent on blowing up the world Least Favorite: 1) Brotherhood of Steel Hate me if you must, downvote if you have to. I don't blame you. The BoS are just a bunch of fascists in power armor. All they've done over their 200 years is sit around talking about how great they are. They shun everyone who isn't one of them and then send everyone who wants in to their death, (Fallout 1). The only times they want to genuinely help humanity, their sector falls apart. They are a bunch of self-absorbed raiders in dolled up fancy feast cans. 2) The Railroad Helping people is obviously a good thing to do, especially in the wasteland. So it annoys me to no end how there is a whole group of people dedicated to protecting some robots who may or may not actually feel while leaving the rest of the wastes to struggle. "Slavery in the Pitt? Nah, who cares." "Raiders destroyed your town and killed your family. Sucks to be you, mate!" "A group of scientists want their robots back? Better nuke the whole place. Kill em all...even the synths inside." What?! 3) Slaver's Guild (Fallout 2) I get slavery on the East coast, 200 years later and they still struggle with...well...everything. but when the NCR is already a thing, the fact that slavery still exists over on the west coast is disgusting. Quite frankly, I'm more disgusted by them than the Legion as they don't even try to justify their actions. They are unapologetically evil and want to profit off human suffering. [link] [comments] |
