| Something you like about every game? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:20 PM PST I see a lot of in fighting about the ranking or quality of every game that basically boils down to a dick showing contest between FO3 or FNV fans and getting angry that they enjoy one or the other more. So I decided to ask something more positive. FO1: I say it still has the best atmosphere of the series, and it has the best villian. FO2: id argue it has the best story and the improvements from FO1 were so good that i would have aged another game in the same style. FO3: they did a good job at transferring the enemy designs into 3d and I really like the game when it does its own thing instead of relying on old stuff FNV: it's fallout new vegas, everthing great about it has been said before. But if you really need something from me then, the NCR ranger armor is still the coolest fucking armor in the series. FO4: Say what you want about it as an RPG but as an open world sandbox FO4. Is one of the most fun experiences I've ever had. Also far harbor is actually amazing. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:50 AM PST I was reading the response to hbomberguy's "Fallout NV is genius and heres why", and there were dozens of commenters saying they wished there was a 2 hour video essay on FNV's flaws. The frustrating thing was that these commenters didn't really give many flaws, except for lanius, bugs (of course) and the intro. So what were the major flaws of FNV? Specifically the writing and game design, as that was where hbomberguy's criticisms mostly fell for F3. A lot of people point to the Legion, but I think hbomberguy made some good points I hadn't considered. Chiefly, yeah the legion is bad but their society didn't literally end the world, like the NCR's inspiration did. As a self confessed FNV fanboy i'm struggling to come up with any myself, so please suggest some of the writing flaws FNV has. [link] [comments] |

| Where shoud I store my stuff in FO4 Posted: 25 Dec 2020 11:07 AM PST I'm new to fallout 4 and I don't know where to store my guns,junk clothes etc, I'm currently in sanctuary. What I'm doing is saving everything in a dresser in my old house but I don't know if this is save or is it going to disappear someday or if someone is going to stole my value items. I also have in the same dresser materials like duck tape wonder glue etc, should if I store them there it counts as I have them when I try to create settlement structures? [link] [comments] |

| GUIDE: How To Remove Item/Armor/Weapon Effects In F3/FNV Posted: 25 Dec 2020 08:04 AM PST Context: I have downloaded a very nice armour mod - the Geonox Riot Gear mod. There were a few things I didn't quite like about it though, so I made some changes for my personal gameplay and pleasure. I opened GECK, locked the box in which all the armour can be found, took the one I liked, placed it elsewhere (along a lore-friendly note) and changed its stats. Seeing how Fallout 3 and New Vegas share most assets, I added Reilly's Rangers Combat Armor effect on the armour I liked. But over time, I figured I might change the armour effect to something different - more personal. I played around and made my own effect, called it Courier's Vigil and have added it to the armour I liked. Problem? Now I had two effects display simultaneously during the gameplay - the Ranger battlearmor effect which was the first one, and the new one - the one I called Courier's Vigil. I go to the GECK, but in the GECK, the armour was good and had only one effect (can't have two, unless its specifics are changed). So, I went back into the game, took off everything and the effect lingered on my naked Courier. Ranger battlearmor effect was there. And seemingly no way to remove it. I tried using Then, my friend who, if it meant making Fallout experience better, he'd be able to hack into the Pentagon gave me an idea. He told me to try using How to find it though? Open the Master File in GECK, find it under: Game Effects > Object Effects > MS18EnchRangerArmor (which was in my case). But, there was another issue, where the hell is the form id?! Well, in GECK, it's hidden between Editor ID and Count ID. You need to widen it. Not so fast though: the Form Id I wrote was 00018E57, but it won't work if you write: If you are suffering from a similar problem either due to a bad mod, in-game bug or your own modding mistake, this is how to fix it. And I'm 100% sure someone will need this solution in 2030. [link] [comments] |

| Is ranged sneak attacks broken? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:34 PM PST So for a couple months now i have noticed that my ranged sneak attack damage is almost the same when i am standing up. On the Queen i do around 200 per shot. And when i sneak its like 300ish but sometimes my damage is 800 per shot. This has only happened a few times but i think this is when stealth attacks actually worked properly. Has Anyone else has this issue or did they change stealth to were it does not increase the damage by x3.75 (with mister sandman) because it feels for me that stealth is not working [link] [comments] |

Unfortunately, the NPC died and it's too late to revert to an earlier save. I wanted to revive the NPC and I opened FNVEdit to find the RefID of this NPC but the only thing I found was the Editor and the FormID's. I cannot find the RefID of the NPC and require assistance.
