I'm new to fallout AND THIS IS AMAZING ALREADY Posted: 08 Nov 2020 05:05 AM PST I just got fallout 4 for free on ps go and IT'S SO GOOD the customization is amazing and THIS ROBOT DUDE JUST SAID MY NAME AND NOT MY FULL NAME THAT I PUT IN THE REGISTRATION FORM I always thought that videogames would never be able to make it so that characters could actually say the names we've given our characters, much less be able to differentiate between first and last names HOW WAS THIS GAME RELEASED IN 2015 I look forward to being here! The Fallout Cookbook is Worth the $20 (imo) Posted: 08 Nov 2020 06:04 PM PST My boyfriend just bought me the Fallout Cookbook for Christmas. Holy cow. That sucker has 185ish pages, recipes for appetizers, soups & stews, entrees, sides, desserts, & drinks! We made the mirelurk queen steak tonight. We both agree that it's about 7/10 (but we don't love fish). I can't post the picture, but if anyone wants to know more about the cookbook or see pictures, feel free to dm me! [link] [comments] |
Just been absolutely gut punched by Mothership Zeta. Posted: 08 Nov 2020 09:38 AM PST It's the part right after the space walk, where you regroup with your ragtag team. You get to a room with a windowed floor, finally being able to get a glimpse of our gorgeous planet from above, and then you see it. Greys and browns, a dead sky, murky seas. I was so excited to see earth from space, but then you see it, and you remember that the planet was torn to shreds by nuclear fire. Kind of heartbreaking for a happy fun space-time alien adventure [link] [comments] |
Can someone explain to me how the whole synth program was supposed to work? Posted: 08 Nov 2020 08:00 PM PST As I understand it they were creating artificial humans to replace humans because....why? I mean, what was the end game? Most of these synths didn't even know they were synths. Were they just planning on wiping out humanity on the surface so they could rule ...nothing? ... from underground? None of it really makes sense to me. I've played through a couple times now and just don't understand why the institute was going around murdering people and replacing them with synths. [link] [comments] |
Bryan Wilks from Fallout 3 should be a companion in a future Fallout game Posted: 08 Nov 2020 09:12 PM PST Remember that kid you save from the quest Those! I always thought it would be really interesting to see him grown up in a similar way to how we saw MacCready as a companion in Fallout 4. I would think he would be anti-Brotherhood considering they took the reactor from Rivet City for the Prydwen. It would be a really cool easter egg to Fallout 3 and expand on Bryan's character from when we last saw him [link] [comments] |
Is it worth it to upgrade my T-60 Power Armor all the way to F-standard in Fallout 4? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 03:57 AM PST I've already upgraded all of it to B-standard and I'm wondering if it's worth it to keep upgrading it any further. [link] [comments] |
The Silver shroud radio in Fo4 foreshadows Mayor McDonough. Posted: 08 Nov 2020 10:46 AM PST In the Silver shroud Radio, it turns out that Mayor Murphy was replaced with a robot, and was working to take over Boston with robots. In game, Mayor McDonough is a synth, working with the Institute to take over the Commonwealth. Foreshadowing. [link] [comments] |
Creative ideas for a fallout set in New York Posted: 08 Nov 2020 06:37 PM PST A friend and I had been talking about the possibility of a fallout game set in New York, and some ideas that could be great plot points. Our favourite so far is that due to the oppression they often face, ghouls have ended up living in the island of the Statue of Liberty. They identify with the statue because the atomic blast melted half of the face of the statue, some ghouls see it as a statue of a ghoul and worship it or just strongly relate to it. Some pre war ghouls are of course in the settlement, they know the statues true origins but don't tell the younger ghouls because they don't want to ruin the hope and pride that keeps them going. What are your true thoughs about Liberty Prime? Posted: 08 Nov 2020 02:48 PM PST Outside of memes, jokes and parody, what do you guys really think about liberty prime? I find him one of the funniest characters in the entire Fallout series, he's an caricature of cold war USA propaganda, but i enjoy him and believe some things he says even though exagerated are true, like democracy > communism. but i want to know your opinions, if you hate him, why? if you like him, why? if you love him, why? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Nov 2020 02:52 PM PST I just don't get it. Wouldn't free mods only promote your game even more? If I saw a game that was all like, "hey, we have the base game and also, guess what? Thousands of free mods to go with it," I'd be all like, "well, now I have no choice but to buy this clearly superior game." So, why don't other companies do that? Thanks! Edit: I mean on console. Sorry. Pretty major mistake I made. [link] [comments] |
My first experience with Fallout Shelter very nice game Posted: 09 Nov 2020 12:22 AM PST |
Posted: 08 Nov 2020 12:51 PM PST Idk why I thought of that. It's more like a shower thought [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Nov 2020 12:18 AM PST Should I side with the brotherhood or the institute? Brother hood Positive: I wanna side with the brotherhood because they're so cool with those power armor, army, prydwen, different sections and the smart talented people who actually give me a hope for humanity and helping the commonwealth. Negative: they will attack anyone who's isint human, at that's the synths... I don't like synths that much because they're supposed to replace humanity but I also hate killing them when they show mercy and feelings when they don't want to be killed. Deacon is such a cool character and I don't want to kill his kind.... Institute Positive: they're constantly developing experiments and trying out new things to help humanity survive, with their smart scientists and great leader "my son" will also have some hope for the humanity to survive further Negative: they've developed synths to replace humanity and a virus who turns people into those big green attacking monsters (forgot what their names was) and they never helped the commonwealth and did several crimes. They even kiddnaped my own son and killed my husband. Who's side should I be on? [link] [comments] |

Enclave hoodie in Bethesda merch store Posted: 08 Nov 2020 11:49 PM PST How often do they restock these? I've been looking online for months and the only place I can find them is on e-bay for double the price. Does anyone know another place to get them or when they will restock in Bethesda's store? I don't feel like paying double! Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Had my first altercations with Mirelurks in Fallout 3 Posted: 08 Nov 2020 04:55 AM PST Was heading to place an observer unit inside a Mirelurk nest for the Wasteland Survival Guide Chapter 2 quest and encountered some Raiders and a Mirelurk hunter outside of Anchorage Memorial. https://i.imgur.com/sYmNTVB.png This is a screenshot I took in V.A.T.S right after the Mirelurk hunter popped the Raiders head off in one shot, so glad I have the Hunting rifle or my head would've been next. Reminder the Xbox One is my first console and this is my first video game so please refrain from spoilers. [link] [comments] |
Drop your FNV character backgrounds! Posted: 09 Nov 2020 03:34 AM PST Drop your FNV characters' backstories here. I wanna do some reading! Me first: The courier, Sgt. Burns, was a retired first recon sniper who helped drive some major raider gangs out of southern cali alongside rangers and infantry. After the campaign, he was able to join the rangers. During this time, he was deployed to hopeville to help fight the legion. A decorated marksman, with around 3 dozen kills to his name, he was able to shift the tide of hopeville in the NCR's favor, hitting high value targets from the safety of crumbling office buildings, Or so he thought. Then he took a shot from a Legionary hunting rifle to the kneecap, a graze wound, but still took off part of the kneecap. NCR doctors put a artificial metal kneecap into his leg, and medically discharged him. due to some phantom pain in his leg hindering his abilities. He then, after a short time unemployed, found a job with Mojave Express. He ran various small letters, until an unknown job showed up. He was instructed to, under no circumstances, open the package, and to deliver it to the strip in one piece. He packed all his items into a backpack and set off for the strip. Then, the rogue group of misfits led by Benny got the jump on him just south of goodsprings. They were able to raid his campsite and tie him up while he was asleep. He then wakes up, bound, tied, with a sack over his head. And that's how the story of FNV starts. Benny, surprisingly, due to him either being a horrible shot, or deliberately missing, ended up only grazing the courier's brain. The courier was knocked out due to this massive trauma. Benny threw the sergeant's bag into the grave with him, leaving everything but the package. His reasoning to the Khans for letting the "rotting" courier keep the bag was "He served the NCR honorably, It was only right he could die with his uniform. Shame he had to be the one carrying my chip though. Nothing personal towards that unlucky bastard." Waking up, cheating death once again, he lost all memory of Hopeville, only retained his memory as a package courier, and retained his skills with weapons and combat. the only reason he remembered his NCR roots, was the gear in his bag. A hunting rifle with a nice scope and extended magazine, looted from a Raider gang leader, and used by the courier for years. A set of camouflaged NCR armor, and a tan ranger beret, along with various service related items. He puts on his uniform slowly in Doc Mitchell's house, still recovering from his head wound, and stumbles out the door, ready to go to war one final time against everyone who has wronged him. Spending a week in goodsprings relearning the skills he lost, he soon learns of Joe Cobb, Ringo, and the powder gangers. He's ready to test his skills again. After facing the powder gangers, against overwhelming odds alongside Sunny Smiles, and sending Joe Cobb and his men to hell, the courier set off towards the strip, to find answers, and seek to put a bullet in the man who executed him and put him in a shallow grave. Soon, even though he faced an honorable discharge, he would be back, fighting alongside his brothers. He's never going to be the same soldier he once was. He's washed up now, still a good shot, but, the trauma turned him to drinking and gambling. During the battle of hoover dam, he'll either prove he's still a ranger, or fall short, and fall on the battlefield. Throughout his time in the Mojave, his memories slowly start coming back through subtle deja vu moments, and many familiar faces. Soon enough, by sheer random, after facing the man who nearly killed him, he faces the plight of hopeville once again, from a different light. [link] [comments] |
What is the best mod manager for Fallout 4, and is that the same best choice for new vegas? Posted: 09 Nov 2020 02:57 AM PST So I've read through other posts and I haven't really got a conclusive answer. I've heard vortex is ok, mod manager 2 is good, and some things about others. What is the best one to use for fallout 4? or does it not matter? I know Skyrim has a preference do to what runs the script extender the best for the game, and is there also a script extender for fallout 4 I should be paying attention too as well?
