Why do feral ghouls in the Mojave only seem to exist on the outskirts of cities and up in the hills with the wildlife?

Were they cleared out en masse by the militaristic factions that dominate the roadways? Were they unable to roam the wasteland as freely as those in the Capital Wasteland because caravans and warring factions use the roads a lot more in the Mojave and people don't hole up in settlements as much as they do in the DC area?

Does Joshua Graham know that Biblical Zion and Zion national park are completely different?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 04:49 AM PDT

Joshua Graham being Mormon means he has at least some knowledge of the bible but how well are pre war religious texts maintained.

He also quotes psalm 137 to the player during dialogue, which to me came across as if he was talking about Zion Canyon and not Jerusalem.

What does the T in the T-## series of power armor stand for?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 06:11 PM PDT

I know that planes have different lettering that designate different purposes like B = Bomber etc and I was wondering if it was the same for power armor.

Do you prefer Long or short answers when you ask questions on this subreddit?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 09:55 AM PDT

Ide really like to know because I tend to be rather long winded and will type like a paragraph and a half to answer a simple question, and I know not everyone likes that. So how about you, when you ask a lore question do you prefer a paragraph filled with examples and evidence and such or do you prefer the short and sweet 1 sentence/word answers?

For example, I'll use the old "is the SS a synth" question and answer it how I think both ways, and let me know what is preferred, so I can try and better help answer questions in the future.

Short #1: it's not confirmed, it can be inferred by in game dialogue, but there is no way of figuring it out at the moment, and bethesda has never stated about it.

Short #2: not in canon, but some people assume so.

Long: this is a very debated topic in the lore community, because Dima says in far harbor that you could be a synth, and that got people thinking and finding all sorts of information that could prove that the SS is a synth. For example, a terminal in the institute says that coursers have the ability to seemingly slow time in their perception so they can better fight in combat. This is similar to V.A.T.S. Obviously, and some people because of that assume it is. So it's possible, but we don't know for sure.

Let me know! Also, i might suggest that if you ever want a specific type of answer (short or long) ask for it in the post, it'd help let people know how to answer. this is purely just me thinking about the times that I've wanted short answers but got long ones or wanted long ones and got short ones

Are the Children of Atom right?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 09:34 PM PDT

I just finished Far Harbor and the initiation mission with the Children of Atom got me thinking about their beliefs. Is the vision you see after drinking from the spring actually Atom? Is it just a scam/member of the Children pretending to be the "fog mother" to recruit the people strong enough to survive the spring? Or by seeing the fog mother, does that prove that Atom is real, or at the very least, the Fog is alive/it's own entity?

Socialist or socialist-esque movements in the Fallout universe?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 10:07 AM PDT

I'm aware of people like the Followers of the Apocalypse who are anarchist-esque pacifists of sorts, but I'm curious if there is anything else

Are there any places that retain a "Pre-War" appearance?

Are there places in the Wasteland that have the appearance that wouldn't be out of place in the Pre-War era?
