Use of plasma weapons in the brotherhood of steel

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 05:17 AM PDT

Is the use of plasma weapons rare in the brotherhood of steel? If so why is that? In the new trailer of steel dawn in fallout 76 there's a member using a plasma gatling. Are plasma rilfles, plasma gatlings common weapons in the universe? Is it tech that should be preserved by the brotherhood. I play fallout 76 as a heavy laser build and they're quite powerful. Who uses plasma weapons in the brotherhood? Thanks.

I'm writing a short story. What do I need to know about the Commonwealth of Texas?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 09:39 AM PDT

    I know:

    • The setting will take place 100 years after the bombs drop.
    • The US added a layer of government in the 1960's called the Commonwealths in which Texas was grouped with Arkansas.
    • Everything an avid fan who has played and replayed Fallout 3/NV/4/76 several times.

I need help with: - Which cities were nuked or had some other catastrophe befall them in Texas? - What group(s) hold power a century after the bombs drop in the area? - What was the prewar corporate activity in the Commonwealth? - What major events are on the horizon at this point in the FA universe? - Anything else you wonderful FA historians think is important!

Thank you so much for your time.

Why didn't the Encave in Appalachia contact Charleston and the Local Military Units?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:40 AM PDT

I understand that Bethesda wanted to write the story in such a way that Appalachia was empty. But in Universe why the hell didn't the remnants of the US government in the region contact the surviving military units and state officials in Charleston early on? They could have maintained their authority and become a super power in post war North America, maybe actually retake/rebuilt the nation. Instead they take their stupid pills and unleash a zombie plague.

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 12:43 AM PDT

I saw a post here earlier today about religion, that got me thinking, how much of the Christian Bible remains? Would a wastelander know any information about the Roman's because of the Bible and compare them to Caesar's Legion?

Are there any other factions besides NCR, BoS and Enclave that regularly utilize Veritbirds?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:12 AM PDT

Some might say Minutemen or Railroad, but those are player's choice. I'm talking about other factions utilizing Vertibirds regardless of the player having an effect on it.

    Did Vault Tec launch first?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 03:26 AM PDT

Its quite ironic right; there is a lot of theories saying vault tech launched some A Bombs onto little towns in America and China to get more people scared to get them to get into their vaults but Vault-Tech ends up starting the Great War, Killing Billions and they try to save people. In Fallout 3 you do find some terminals which do say that Vault-Tec did have Nuclear launch codes. Also in Fallout 4 you can find terminals in the Sentinal building which also proves my theory, furthermore Something going on behind all the experiments, maybe this was their ultimate experiment? Science gone mad maybe? Also there is a Vault Tec logo on the megaton Nuclear bomb in Fallout 3. Maybe they did this to experiments running or their stocks up. What do you think?
