Did the Eisenhower Interstate System Exist In Fallout? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 04:43 AM PDT As a trucker, I have a knack for looking at roads. One thing I noticed is that I don't see distinct signs of the design of the interstate system. F76 has signs on the map indicating part of the roads are I-59 (which IRL don't exist anywhere near there) but the road is curved to hell and isn't designed for military-like IRL. F3 and F4's highways seemed to be in the air, which wouldn't allow for the original ideal either. Being the system was signed in in 1956, I figured it would or could be part of the lore. So is this just a game limitation or did Eisenhower not exist in Fallout? [link] [comments] |
Moon Landing in Fallout Universe Posted: 16 Oct 2020 03:19 PM PDT I'm curious as to how they achieved the landing with nuclear power and who reached it first. How competitve was the arms/moon race between the US and Russia? [link] [comments] |
How does Tenpenny Tower work as a settlement? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:26 AM PDT As much as I love Tenpenny Tower, the concept behind it has never made much sense to me. It's a fortified hotel in the middle of nowhere with no infrastructure beyond its walls. It stands alone as the sole building in its settlement. Wouldn't a hotel be part of a larger settlement? I'm guessing they are supplied entirely by caravans and are extremely reliant on them since the place doesn't produce any resources of its own. Where do the residents even come from? And why is it the only building in its settlement? [link] [comments] |

Is there any reason the Overseer locks up Vault 101 and tells everyone to lie to their kids? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 03:10 AM PDT Honestly, I'm surprised it took about 19 years for the Overseer to realize "Hey wait, this idea sucks complete ass", because of the limited gene pool that comes with a completely isolated Vault. Vault 101 has been opened before and would make a great Vault City-Type place if the residents rebuilt Springvale, but for whatever reason, they decide to close off the vault seemingly forever.
