Can you use a power armor helmet as a normal helmet?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2020 12:26 PM PDT

in fo4 at least, you can enter a power armor without a fusion core in it, and the display and recon sensors and stuff like that still work. is this just a slightly wrong part of game design, or could you use the helmet with all its functions without a frame?

Edit: with "wrong" game design I meant not perfectly lore friendly for the sake of gameplay

why didnt the sole survivor die shortly after leaving the vault?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2020 12:16 PM PDT

Doc Mitchells wife died because her body couldnt get used to the wastelands bacteria. Mr. House cant leave his pod otherwise he will die from the bacteria as well, so how come the sole survivor is different? i assume the bacteria in pre and post war America is very different, and it would make sense if the SS got some kind of an illness or possibly even death, rather than just eating and drinking every single item there is without really any side effects.

Dont you guys think, that it will be really great if next Fallout will have something related to Fallout:Tactics lore. Cause there is a lot of things that aren't confirmed in general lore. Also it will be cool if next Fallout gonna be in Chicago.

Why are there so many accents?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2020 04:21 PM PDT

I'm curious as to how there are so many accents in the games. British and French accents make sense because its possible people learned to speak from robots, but what about the other ones? How does Cait have an Irish accent or the Bobrovs have Russian accents. Even if there were immigrants in the vaults I feel like after 200 years they would have lost their accents. The only thing I can think of are ghouls who kept their accents but are there any solid answers?

Is it like headphones or is it a speaker just playing aloud for everyone to hear?

Why does the Institute attack the places they do?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2020 10:15 AM PDT

The Institute has attacked some weird places in Fallout 4. Like why wipe out University Point or a random subway station not even near cambridge its over near the hospital near taffington boathouse. They even show up at the Sandy Grove retirement home up in Salem and looking through the Retirement home there is nothing of importance for the institute there besides maybe some desk fans and prewar money. As for University Point I would probably blame thr University Point Deathclaws but it would probably of been easier to just destroy the gang rather than the whole town.

Where is all the film for cameras?

    Posted: 04 Oct 2020 01:07 PM PDT

There are 29 or so cameras location in the wasteland, with cameras being sold for scrap. There are 4 undamaged cameras in vault 81. And yet, there are no pictures.

The camera is based off of the Kodak brownie hawkeye flash, which was developed by Kodak in around the 1950s. Whom also discovered America had a nuclear bomb due to batches of unused film having dots on them with without their package being tampered with. The dots were caused by overexpose to radiation. This cased America to pay off Kodak and the rest of the industry, which is neither here nor there.

However, with a nuclear war happening on US soil, would all film be rendered useless due to all the radiation, or would it have no effect at all? Did I go too far back into time in which this problem was solved? And while I am at it, how sturdy are photos?
