Canon Ending is Yes-Man? (Minor evidence)

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 07:48 AM PDT

I understand there doesn't seem to be any official canon ending to New Vegas but contrary to that I discovered that Yes Man's quest line could possibly be the canon choice. I came to realise this after meeting the Forecaster, under the bridge of the 188 trading post. When purchasing his service to think about 'me' he says the following..

Your face does the thinking - two to the skull, yet one gets up). Odds are against you... but they're just numbers after the two-to-one. You're playing the hand you've been dealt, but you don't let it rest, you shuffle and stack, and a gamble... a gamble that may pay off? But how? Forecast: Rapidly changing conditions.

The parts where he says, "Shuffle and stack", "A gamble", "Pay off" and "How" are supposed be references to the Yes-Man's quest line.

Is it a stretch to think that this is a minor indication of a possible canon ending to New Vegas? Whats your opinion? I'm genuinely interested because I really enjoy this game and it's lore and would love to see other peoples opinions on this.

Side note: I notice that it does say "Forecast: Rapidly changing conditions" I guess this is because you may choose another faction to side with, but it's still interesting as to why Yes-Man's quest line is mainly highlighted.

    Possible bug?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 10:45 AM PDT

So I am doing the Helios 1 quest and I have an issue with the second terminal, despite getting the holotape password, it still tells me I need to have level 75 science, is this normal or a bug?

Completed BOS quests, now they're gone?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 09:07 AM PDT

I finished Still in the Dark and Eyesight for the Blind, became a Paladin. McNamara liked me amd it seemed like things were going well. I then did some side quests for Forlorn Hope and Bitter Springs. When I returned to Hidden Valley to finish up For the Republic part 2, to make the peace treaty, the bunker is empty, I can't even get in. Colonel Moore still wants me to take care of the BOS.

For some weird reason, Eyesight for the Blind is greyed out like I completed it but the bit about returning to Elder McNamara hasn't been checked off.

Is this a bug of some kind or is it something I did wrong/out of order?

so,do you play the DLCs in a specific order?i personally go: honest hearts->lonesome road->old world blues->dead money. Mainly because I play from the one I liked the most to the one I liked the least. i played each only twice,im currently ending honest hearts in my first serious playthroug.

    Veronica Remnants Headcannon

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 07:38 PM PDT

Anyone else like to think that Veronica sought after the Enclave Remnants to join them, as a rebellious fuck you to the brotherhood for not wanting to change their ways. Unlike the remnants who went from following orders from mutant fascists to ultimately helping the wasteland. Also, the remnants have a bunch of tech shit lying around for her to tinker with.
