Is there a lore explanation for laser muskets?

What I mean to say is, it's there anyplace where one could find a Fallout3-style "schematic" for a laser musket? The first guy who made this thing... What was he thinking?! What do I need to collect to make one, hypothetically?

Was every car crash lethal? In fallout 4 it takes like one bullet to explode the car into a mushroom cloud

What was the state of Missile Technology before the Great War?

Did China and the US have some form of ICBM's? Or were their warheads dropped from planes? Basically my question is what were pre war nuclear payload delivery capabilities.

What was Mexico like before the bombs fell? What is of it now?

Hi! I'm kinda new, both to this subreddit and the games, so I'm not really that lore savvy. And, as much as I enjoy knowing every little detail about the Pre-war Commonwealth and the Wasteland, I'd actually like to know about the annexed nation to the south, like: Why and how was it part of it's neighbor? Did the US incorporated mexican troops to its army? Did they build mexican nuclear silos? What did the government look like? Was there a mexican president? Which companies ruled over it? Did Vault-Tec build any vaults? How many? Where? Did the guns policy change when it became a part of the US? What is it like after the bombs fell? What kind of communities rose up? Is there any contact between groups on both sides of the border? I have even more questions, but I guess that's a good start. I hope you guys can provide me a better insight into this crazy, wonderful, irradiated world. (P.d. English is my second language, sorry if I made any mistakes, let me know if I wasn't clear enough or what could I improve on)

How did Skinny Malone have access to vault 114?

When we find the vault, we have to open it using our pipboy, and a triggerman even makes a comment on how loud the door is.

Something Thats Always Bothered Me: How did the fallout universe develop AI?

Every terminal we see isn't more advanced then the 1980s or 1990s, its a simple tool for taking inventory and sending emails, maybe opening doors. We arent given evidence of mobile technology like cell phones exist. Also given the investiment in power armour it is safe to say they dont have advanced guidance systems for missiles or modern drones.

So how did they make advanced robots like Mr Handy, who could carry on full conversations and probably past the turing test? or how did they make synths? even the instiute doesnt show signs of modular technology.

The memory alone for any of those inventions, using fallout tech, would fill up several warehouses

How could the West Virginian Chapter of the BoS have vertibirds in 2102 ?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2020 03:36 PM PDT

    • Western chapters of the BoS experienced Enclave air domination until 2241 when the Chosen One retrieved schematics from the Navarro refueling base.

    • Eastern Chapters (Capital Wasteland then Commonwealth) got their schematics in 2277 when reclaiming Adams AFB from the Enclave which led to the construction of the Prydwen and its fleet of vertibirds.

Sooo how is it that in WV, 139 years prior to Fallout 2, the BoS has schematics for the Vertibirds and yet didnt share them to the West Coast.

They had time to do it before the satellite broke out...

Is there any explanation as to why the newer versions of PA have the abdomen completely exposed and vulnerable unlike the older ones that were covered?
