Fallout 4 FINALLY has visible holstered weapons! No extra bs!! Posted: 08 Jul 2020 01:59 PM PDT The mod is here! It's made by the same people who are making the F4NV mod. I never thought I'd see the day where we finally have this done well. [link] [comments] |
[Fallout 4] What was Virgil's plan exactly? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 05:31 AM PDT Ok so from what I can gather his plan was to take the FEV, escape the institute, hide in the glowing sea, replicate the FEV cure, cure himself and then what ? Live in the cave until he dies , leave the glowing sea as just a dude with no rad resistance. Idk it just seems like a pretty bad plan if you ask me. [link] [comments] |

What would be a good starting point for someone who wants to get into the franchise Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:40 AM PDT So I have a friend who wants to get into the fallout games and asked me which of the games would be a good starting point. They are a console player and are referring to Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. I personally think 4 is the most newcomer friendly in terms of lore but I don't think the main story is as engaging as the others. Just looking for an opinion on which you think is the best entry point to the series [link] [comments] |
So basically every mechanic is dead? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 11:49 AM PDT In fallout 4 people can make sentry bots, giant robots, synths, BUT THEY CAN'T FIX CARS AND TANKS! [link] [comments] |
What do y’all want to see as the next Fallout game? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 02:57 PM PDT Personally, I feel like a return to the west is overdue and I'd like to give an example of what could be a captivating story. It would start off with the player character in the spitoon at the vault city courtyard. You are enjoying a beverage when some vault city citizens walk in and try to rob the place (one of the major rules of vault city in fallout 2 is that you can't mess with the citizens if your not one, or you will be imprisoned). The bar owner pulls out a shot gun and fires, but misses. The Vault citizens start shooting up the place and leaves two survivors, You and someone else (for now let's call him John). You two wake up while Vault city guards are cleaning up the mess, and run out of vault city. John goes to the den to drink away the pain while your character does side quests which point you in the direction of the den. You find John and find out he has become an informant for the brotherhood of steel. Right when you finish talking to him, he gets shot in the head, by a bounty hunter hired by vault city's elite. You kill or negotiate with the bounty hunter and leave the bar. You head for the brotherhood of steel outpost that is in the den and tell them that a vault city bounty hunter has killed John. They ask you what you know about vault city, and you tell them that it's a city filled with pre-war tech and a pristine vault, with all of the computers intact. The brotherhood now knowing that decides to send some scouts to the city. The scouts sneak over the walls into the main city and get killed by some guards. The Brotherhood, has now lost several men and knows that they have all of this technology. They decide that they are going to start a war with vault city. You now have to decide to help either help vault city and keep the brotherhood at bay, but know that the wrongs they have committed will go unpunished. Or you can side with the brotherhood and help them take over vault city, but live with the fact that you are destroying countless family's and you would have to deal with the NCR as well. Or you could buy a vault suit off of the streets of New Reno and go to vault city, go into the vault and make their power systems explode which would destroy the city. Or you could go to the NCR and tell them about the Brotherhoods plot to overthrow vault city, and the NCR would destroy all of the brotherhood out posts. The first two options would be big battles like the one in Fallout New Vegas. But that's just my idea, and I would like to hear yours. [link] [comments] |
Could Mr.House be equal with the Institute? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 10:50 PM PDT Mr.Houses ultimate plan for an independent New Vegas is to revitalize it's tech sector and achieve space colonization. The institute are one of the most technological factions in the franchise and were born from the CIT (their universes MIT). Mr.House was a student there and is a genius, so if he won New Vegas could he possibly be as advanced as the Institute? [link] [comments] |
I put over 400+ hours into fallout 4, and today I finally get to try out New Vegas. Posted: 08 Jul 2020 05:31 PM PDT Is there anything I should know before I start playing? (No spoilers please) [link] [comments] |

How do the holotapes work excatly. Posted: 08 Jul 2020 10:55 PM PDT I tried to search to see if there was any explanation on how they work but couldn't find any. So how do they work? [link] [comments] |
Wand Company Pip-boy 2000: Has anyone else tried wiring batteries into the holotape cartages? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 10:24 PM PDT The screen and the FM Radio both use a set of 3 AAA batteries each that are kind of a huge pain in the butt to remove. I then thought, well, maybe 2 4.5V rechargable battery packs with the charging wire running out the side under the sleeve, but... turns out 4.5V rechargable batteries are not that common. And neither are 9V in a reasonable mAh to run the thing more than a few minutes. But 3V packs are much more common, 3 in series could run both in tandem as long as both systems were wired to turn on togeather. I figure the easiest place to put them would actually be to build them into the holotapes, with the port on the edge to hook up to the device and charger and to easily remove in the case on long periods of dormancy. Then, if you get low batteries at a convention, you just swap the tape for another. Has anyone else tried this before? Does my math check out? [link] [comments] |

Has Fallout 4 become completly unplayable on PS4? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 03:55 AM PDT A few months back I started to encounter problems playing FO4 on PS4, two to be exact. One was the ce-34878-0 message from PS4 and the other was the error message that there would be not enough space to save. The latter is not true, I have over 500gb free space on my FO4. I use a lot of Creation Club content and I use some mods. This was going fine untill a few months back all of sudden. Is there something like using too much Creation Club content on PS4? I have tried so much workarounds and nothing seems to help. The game without CC and mods plays without problems. When I don't use CC content but I do use mods it plays without problems. But as soon as I start to install the CC content the ce-34878-0 message starts to pop-up and the game closes itself. Power cycles, resets, installing all the content one by one, reinstalling the game, removing every bit of the game from the PS4, it's no use. After installing all the CC content (with whatever workaround) and starting a new game the game starts, but ofter the black loading screen it stays black and the 'War never changes' cutscene won't start because the game is frozen on a black screen. Am I the only one with this problem? When searching Google I see some people with comparable problems, but not as severe as mine. [link] [comments] |
Why were their m16/m4 weapons in fallout new vegas but not any other game? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 02:34 PM PDT Does this have to do with the fact that it took place in the west coast? I know the screaming eagle skin in fallout 76 is basically a service rifle but let's say the next fallout game took place on the east coast. Would it make sense if the game had a service rifle/assault carbine. [link] [comments] |
What about a Native American faction or companion? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 10:00 AM PDT Although there were the Dead Horses in New Vegas, we haven't seen much about Native Americans in the series. I know they account for a small portion of the population, but I think I would be cool to see Native American culture surviving somewhere in the wasteland. Would it be too "out there" for us to maybe encounter a tribe surviving out in the wilderness? A reservation that maybe survived the war and has upheld their traditions all this time later? It might be refreshing to see something like that, applied to a wasteland where most other factions are militant. If not a faction, what about a follower? Maybe an older Ghoul, who is the last surviving member of a tribe on his reservation. He now lives on his own in the wilderness, continuing living by the traditions of his ancestors. That could be interesting. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 02:15 AM PDT So I was modding a 3* BE Gatling Gun that I just bought for my brother and then ... Server Disconnect . Gone. We both got dc'ed right at the same exact time and when we logged back in the Gatling gun was gone, nowhere to be found. Bethesda what the hell ? No way to get it back either I'm assuming? We both pay money monthly for this game... lol sorry just needed to share. We're both pretty new so I'm guessing this is the norm? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2020 01:45 AM PDT I recently got Fallout 2 (via Steam), and since a lot of people recommend the Restoration Project, I installed it. My question is, can I continue this save file on a PC that doesn't have the restoration project installed? [link] [comments] |

When it comes to Fallout, I go through this weird "no mods" phase every so often. Posted: 08 Jul 2020 01:19 PM PDT I can mod Elder Scrolls to hell and back but when it comes to Fallout, I always go through this phase of just deleting all my mods and doing a playthrough where the game plays and looks as intended. This is for both Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4. Anyone else feel this way? Do you even use mod at all? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Jul 2020 12:34 AM PDT A few days ago I came to Caesar's Fort in New Vegas, and from the start, I was vilified by the legion for killing his assassins in the wilderness, so I had no choice but to kill Caesar, but Benny escaped when I found him in the casino, And now I have no way to get into House's bunker, as I gave him the platinum token for his robots. So now I don't have a platinum token, Benny's corpse, or a chance to progress in the game, and it's the first time I've played New Vegas.📷 Update: I've got a platinum chip from the game console, but the console to update the robots doesn't show the option to put the chip. :( [link] [comments] |
Do you all think Robert House could have had the means to enact his goals? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 12:20 AM PDT Just got me thinking after a Mr. House ending on NV. Where he has his grand plans of a massive Technological Boom were for him to prevail after Hoover Dam. He sounded convincing considering he pretty much knows all of his technology at the back of his hand. But will he have the means to make it into reality? I mean sure the Securitron upgrade was a start, but I still don't know if that will be even enough as a first step of his own coming of the next Golden Age of Technology. Him setting his sights on sending humans to space and establishing colonies to other planets seemed like a treat. On the other hand, my doubts stem from his lack of outside connections from Vegas. He's strictly on the Strip only and his influence outside it were nothing more than hearsay and word of mouth. He has no reliable associates other than a lone remote-controlled securitron and us, the Courier. Other than that he's mostly non-existent outside Vegas. And yes I am aware that he did made some connections whilst searching for the platinum chip, but it sounded like a one-off thing and didn't even bother to even keep a calling card, IIRC. Posted: 08 Jul 2020 08:22 PM PDT I love this game. It's actually my favorite game of all time. Fallout series starting with new vegas was my favorite, and I really really enjoyed how they changed the gameplay with 4 meanwhile losing out on a good replayable story. Most dedicated fallout fans will tell you survival is the way to go for fallout 4, and it's absolutely correct, it's such a massive positive game changer if you enjoy a challenge. But. Holy. Fuck. The sleeping to save is the worst possible thing they could do. I don't even care about backtracking, the immediate situation of me losing progress honestly doesn't mean much, I enjoy the game. But does anyone else who enjoys survival really feel like by the fourth time they take the same dialogue AGAIN after dying instantly. It's like, why should I do anything but play like a scared puppy with max intelligence untill I'm level 25 and then I can actually walk in diamond city without having to take a fight where I die instantly. You being easy to kill is part of survival along with being able to do alot of damage. But it really really starts to lose value by the fifth time you're taking the same dialogue in a row, terrified and irritated to even enjoy the game anymore, just becomes a fucking chore. Sorry, I love this game and survival mode, just needed to rant. I swear you have to have ridiculous patience levels to even PLAY survival. An I'm talking about the situations where you have to go through immense dialogue, and die on your way back to a bed. Like when you first enter diamond city, or try to join the brotherhood for example. I've never had such a love hate relationship with a game. LOL. [link] [comments] |
