    Me: saves President Kimball, risks life to end a feud between the NCR and BoS, retakes Nelson from the Legion, runs through a literal mortar field to get the Boomers to ally with the NCR, kills hundreds of Legion members, etc.

    Still can't officially join the NCR.

    This is actually one of the worst things about FNV; you can't officially join the major factions. You can literally do more than President Kimball has done for the NCR in 7 years but you'll never even be a trooper. I'm not asking to be able to become the leader of every faction in the game like certain other rpgs, but can I at least become a Ranger so I don't look silly running around in Veteran Ranger gear while an engineer at Hoover Dam calls me a "model citizen"?

    It just doesn't make sense to me... If people didn't want to join the NCR or Legion then they would've went Independent Vegas or with Mr. House. Not sure what was going on in their heads when they decided not to let you join the army you're fighting for.

    About the Inspiration for Vera Keyes

    So, it's far from clear, but there's some indication that Vera Keyes may have been inspired in part by WWII era starlet Vera Lynn. Chris Avellone denied having any particular inspiration for her, but acknowledged the artist that designed her may have had something like this in mind. She's especially known for the final song in Dr. Strangelove; Or, How I Stopped Worrying And Learned To Love The Bomb; the song is titled "We'll Meet Again", reminiscent of Vera Keyes' "Begin Again".

    Anyway, all that to say that Vera Lynn passed away today at the ripe old age of 103. Only loosely Fallout-related, I guess, but interesting anyway.

    Yeah walking around with 50 armors and an infinite ammo arsenal is fun and all but; I feel like after years literally only playing on hardcore/PN rebalance that the base difficulty doesn't really capture the true fallout feel.

    I haven't tried jsawyer's overhaul yet. Heard good things about it though might try it soon.

    Just bored and wanting to see what everybody thinks. Thanks for reading!

    (PS. Very Hard is probably the most worthless difficulty because essentially you become made of glass where as enemies become bullet sponges.)

    Honestly, good on the mod dev's. Its super fun and really feels like a fallout game. Some of the voice acting wasn't the best, but it doesn't bother me. It felt really cool to meet Anai or however you spell her name in real life after sexting her in the vault.

    I just got it today, and if you guys haven't already, just get it, its fucking awesome
