Did Arroyo become a urban city like Vault City or NCR by the time of New Vegas? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 06:48 PM PDT Something that always confused me is if Arroyo remained a tribal community after using the G.E.C.K or expand into an urban city? [link] [comments] |
Why didn’t the Chinese simply use America’s robots against them? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:52 AM PDT The Chinese could have taken an advantage of turning fomesticated robots such a sprotevtrons into a way to instill fear in the American people, but they didn't. They are capable of creating liberators (notably of the compact design) and already have supercomputers better than others (as demonstrated by the Shi) TL; DR; DC: Why didn't the Chinese use protectrons and mr handys against the US by hijacking the product line? Why do none of the Lucky 38 radios work? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 09:52 AM PDT House is rich so why doesn't he have someone repair the radios in the Lucky 38? It just seems kind of weird to me and was wondering if there was a lore reason for it. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:43 PM PDT I'm sure people have asked this before. But I can't seem to find a definite answer. I've been replaying Fallout 3 and 4 recently and it doesn't make much sense that there are autonomous robots, but black and white television. So can a date be derived from the lore of the cannon games? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 11:49 AM PDT Forgive me if this is something that's said in game - I have never done a Legion play through. To my knowledge, Edward Sallow used Rome as a model because he believes it was effective at uniting disparate groups into a single cultural, military, and political force (even if this isn't exactly historically true). Swallow presumably read about these issues in books, and I just have to ask - is anyone in the Legion (whether they be Legionaries or higher up) aware that the basis of their society is fabricated on a historical text with no relation to the current legion? And a more opinionated question for the sub - would it matter if someone "found out" about the basis of the Legion? [link] [comments] |
Shouldn't there be a bigger NCR presence in the area around Novac? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 06:30 AM PDT Lately, I've been roleplaying as a hunter who lives in Novac. I've had plenty of time to explore the city and its vicinities, and I've noticed how many NCR locations there are around Novac: two ranger stations (Charlie and Delta, if I recall correctly), Forlorn Hope, Helios ONE, the Dam (it's not that far away actually, but there are mountains in between), etc. However, Charlie eventually falls to the Legion, Nelson already has, soldiers at Helios think there should be more of them there and the situation at Forlorn Hope is precarious. Not only that, but there's a bigger NCR presence at McCarran (and arguably Golf) than the Dam, which is supposedly the focal point of the game. On the other hand, you find a ton of NCR patrols, immigrants, and settlements in the area around Vegas, where they clearly aren't welcome (unlike Novac, notice Jennie May talking about Boone, Manny, and the ranger), experience harassment from the locals, and struggle against the Fiends. Now, my question is, wouldn't it make more sense if there was more of the NCR around Novac? Patrolling the highway and reinforcing the key locations around there? Because it turns out you have outposts at Searchlight and above Cottonwood Cove, but can't secure the route between Forlorn Hope and Helios. [link] [comments] |
