I'm curious as to why this only seemed to happen post-war. We see that the only requirement for ghoulification is large amounts of radiation, and possibly something in your DNA that makes it so you dont just die from rad poisoning.

I'm sure there HAD to have been people who were around large amounts of radiation in their daily lives pre-war. Sure, there would be been PPE and such, but even then there still would've been people exposed.

We see ghouls everywhere that have been around since the bombs dropped, who were human before. Was it possible for ghouls to be around pre-war too?

Do we know how many of the Vault-Tec Vaults were actually intended to house Humans without any experiment being run on the residents? Like Vault 76.

    Numbering Scheme/Location of Vaults

    Posted: 13 May 2020 03:00 PM PDT

Running Fallout tabletop taking place in Midwest/Great Plains region of America and wanted info on whether vaults are assigned a number via location. It seems Vaults 1-60 are West coast/Southwest and then 80-120 are east coast.

How many vaults were located in the Midwest/Great Plains area? Are they centralized around Chicago or evenly distributed (as far as canon suggests)? What would their numbers be?

Edit: just kidding it looks like all of the numbered vaults are on the coasts. Oops.

What type of gun is being held by the soldier in Power Armor in the Museum of Freedoms Mural?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 11:30 PM PDT

In the mural at the Museum of Freedom there is a guy in power armor holding a gun, it seems to be a type of heavy weapon, most likely gatling, but I can't seem to recognize it. I'm only really asking since I want to make a CO2 gun that is exactly like it.

Little side question - is there anything in lore talking about the Sea of Tranquility? And what type of gun is they astronaut holding, it looks like an energy weapon but I'm not sure.
