Can you imagine how stinky everyone in the wasteland would be? Posted: 16 May 2020 08:21 PM PDT Feral ghouls, mutated creatures, rot and decay seemingly everywhere...and I can't find a single working shower. [link] [comments] |

Who the f*ck is writing for Vice? Posted: 16 May 2020 11:11 PM PDT Right now on Steam, Fallout 76 is being advertised, and smack bang on the advertisement is this quote - "THE BEST FALLOUT GAME EVER MADE" - VICE. Who wrote that? Is there anyone willing to put their name to that quote, or is Vice just that far removed from the gaming community? [link] [comments] |
Am I the only person who doesn’t use power armor? (To suit or not to suit) Posted: 16 May 2020 05:03 PM PDT I don't know I've played through the series so many times and honestly just never felt the allure to suit up. Fallout 4 did power armor best with the added modifications system and scavenging for parts but even then I'd just take it out for a spin and want to put it away in my garage to keep it shiny. So, how about you? [link] [comments] |
Did anyone else find the minuteman ending of fallout 4 unsatisfying (spoiler, a lot of spoilers) Posted: 16 May 2020 07:29 PM PDT So I only actually got this ending because I didn't know Liam Benit (patriot) wasn't marked essential and shot him because he just agitates me and had forgotten to quicksave before hand. Anyway back to the discussion topic at hand, so the minuteman ending it's the same ending as the other two factions doing nuclear option instead of nuclear family. I personally didn't find it as satisfying. There's no really in-depth story things that happen and the automatic laser musket you get is fun but kinda bad. At least going with other factions to the end gets you some emotional drama story and such. Example Paladin danse either dying or getting banished from the BoS or glory dying defending RR HQ. nothing like that happened in the minuteman ending. Sorry for the rambling. Opinion on rambling tho? [link] [comments] |
Some lazy security guards in Diamond City Posted: 16 May 2020 04:05 PM PDT When you're about to head over to Kellogg's House in Diamond City, Nick Valentine notes the Security Guards don't go to that part of town. Are you serious? There's what? At least 5 to 10 of these guys in the stadium alone (and since this is a Bethesda game that's supposed to mean there's really more guys we aren't seeing in the security force) and you're telling me there's parts of the stadium they never give a once over? Other than private residences there's no excuse. Its like a 500 to 1000 foot walk from where you're probably already milling about. This is a cozy little town. You're telling me the marketplace and the door get all the protection? These aren't modern day people either. These are people who are used to being on their feet walking everywhere all day. So no excuses. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 May 2020 12:40 AM PDT I wanted to get Rupas brain for Rex but I already made enemies with the legion, is there a way for me to get to Fort Hill and get Rupas brain? [link] [comments] |
Why do y’all think fallout 76 sucks? Posted: 17 May 2020 04:24 AM PDT I have around 6 hours in the game and I'm having a blast. The graphics are amazing, so is the looting and the general gameplay. I've only encountered 1 visual glitch (the leaves on the floor of the forest looked real funky) which wasn't gamebreaking and disappeared pretty fast. [link] [comments] |
Form ranks stuck on needs More settlements (Fallout 4 spoilers potentially) Posted: 16 May 2020 10:11 PM PDT So I don't exactly know what is going on with the Minutemen quest Form Ranks. I am playing on PS4 and for some reason I need more settlements despite, having almost all the settlements in the game. Only ones left is Warwick, Sommer, and Mirkwater. Old Guns has been completed but I can't go on to finishing Form Ranks. Can anyone help? [link] [comments] |
Repost from Fo76 Improve Kit does the opposite of impoving. Posted: 16 May 2020 10:11 PM PDT Basically my friend used a improve kit to improve his gun, it instead bugged out and did the opposite of it by deleting his weapon. [link] [comments] |
The Fallout Franchise is “Atompunk Retrofuturism” Posted: 16 May 2020 03:46 PM PDT I was bored, so I started looking through online wikis and articles related to the Fallout franchise. One of said articles described it as "Atompunk Retrofuturism". I hadn't even heard of "atompunk", but after looking into it more the description fits pretty well. I've always had a tough time describing the whole aesthetic of the franchise and just wanted to share. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 May 2020 11:36 PM PDT I'm actually enjoying Fallout 76 a great deal. Also I can probably say that it is my favorite in the series. Will people tell me what they specifically hate and dislike about the game? I'm not here to argue, I just want to listen. [link] [comments] |
How do you drop nuclear codes from your inventory on nuclear winter Posted: 16 May 2020 09:37 PM PDT I played the nuclear battle royale the other day one teammate drops six nuclear codes meant for my other teammate who has a nuclear briefcase. My stupid ass immediately picks up without any idea how to drop them to give them to the guy with the briefcase. I know how to go to my inventory wheel to drop weapons to be less heavy but nuclear codes don't show up in the inventory wheel and we end up wasting it because of me. I play ps4 [link] [comments] |
“I couldn’t imagine a better life.”- A Fallout 4 Story Posted: 17 May 2020 01:38 AM PDT Fallout- now there is a title that means quite a bit to me, though I had long forgotten it. I remember staying up late with friends on the weekend crowded around the most subpar monitor in the dead of night, all to witness a journey in the capital or Mojave wastelands. Now, before I really get going, I always loved these games for their environments and lore, yet it wasn't until recently that I realized the RPG depth to be found within. As a kid the more creative solutions can just fly over your head sometimes. We simply made our own fun with it. Also, to commiserate with Bethesda decriers, I will admit that these are some of the most butt fugly games I've ever enjoyed. Which brings me to Fallout 4. I witnessed it's release and over the next few years heard nothing but negativity. "The game has been stripped of its depth!" "It's not an RPG!" Common sentiments in Fallout communities I'm sure you're all familiar with. I decided to hold off for some time. Now I've got an excess of time on my hands for obvious reasons, and I decided to indulge, a long awaited return to the series. Holy damn was I deceived. Disregarding the minimalistic skill tree and SPECIAL tweaking, I was floored with the degree of customization that was possible throughout this title. The settlement system, often lamented, was actually pretty cool, albeit not a focus of my playthrough. The weapon customization, on the other hand, was freakin sweet. A 10mm pistol could become MY pistol, and the process of bringing it from scrap to chrome was awesome. Where I had anticipated terrible voice acting I found the performances more than acceptable, even playing as Nate who is apparently lesser to Nora- and this is especially by Bethesda standards. It's good to criticize the things you love, but I'll just say Bethesda is given much undeserved heat for what they've created. It's a freaking tough industry, cut them some slack. Now, the best part of Fallout 4, in my opinion, are the companions. Impressively enough I found their AI to be far less annoying than anticipated, their contextual lines to be plentiful and varied, and their characters well though out. I would've stuck with Nick Valentine after the long initial trek to Diamond City- through rad storms and packs of feral mutated beasts, over and under ruins and past raider outposts in a very well designed overworld. I mean, this exploration is absolutely top notch. I was blown away by its verticality and every little surprise. A merchant hiding on the roof, a farm run by robots, a behemoth lurking in the swamps. It was incredible, and a little less ugly than prior entries no less. Sadly, Nick's VO is still a little too much like the guy that says "Carlyle" way too much in the Thieves Guild in Skyrim, and he also stripped naked while refusing to wear anything given to him... anyway, I digress. Piper, however, was a different story. I knew she wouldn't leave my side. Fire support when I need it, emotional support when I need it, freaking snacks when I need them. Leveling up the companion relationship was very satisfying, learning more about their background and what makes them tick, which in turn hints towards the decisions they favor. Upon approaching the Glowing Sea I made a point of finding her a radiation suit so that I could be safely accompanied, a quest of my own. The romance option was excellent for an XP boost (my run just finished at level 64) and I found it to be endearing for the Lone Survivor to move on. All in all it was its own bountiful RP opportunity, and this is just one companion. At the end, making a final save back in Diamond City after watching the fireworks over Nuka World with Piper at my side will be a favored gaming memory of mine for a long time. That's when I realized, these games have always been, and still are, about making your own fun, your own adventure. Don't let the community think this is something you can't achieve in any Fallout game, because as far as I've seen it's pretty damn possible. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 May 2020 11:55 PM PDT I'm playing my very first time and already undid about 15 hours of work by undoing Junktown and The Hub because I wanted to interact with Necropolis. So I reinstalled the mod (Fixt) and made sure no invasions happen, then went to Necropolis first. There, I got the pump working again and then was told by Set to kill the mutants. I asked Harry there to take me to his superiors.. Did I mess up? I went through the dialogue with Lou and saw one of the non-canonical endings, then loaded and got more information, took the beating and escaped. I went down and killed the hooded fellows, then repaired the Mr. Handy and killed the guards in the room with it. Next I spend 6 hours of loading and cursing to win against Lou.. Now, I saw I have an option to blow up Mariposa base but I'm guessing I'm really not meant to do this yet at this point. I didn't screw my game up entirely, did I? [link] [comments] |
I dont know if should I buy a dlc cd from ebay Posted: 17 May 2020 03:28 AM PDT So I have fallout 3 from my uncle. A polish cd version. I poped some mods into it from nexus but thats not the case. I also have polish cd version of broken steel and point lookout. they are installed but... I wanted more dlcs I could buy from allegro but you only pay with polish currency zloty and I live in UK. Favorite underrated quest givers? Posted: 16 May 2020 02:59 PM PDT Out of any game! For instance, I really liked the Garrett twins and wish I could have done more quests to make the Atomic Wrangler a bigger/better casino [link] [comments] |
Fallout 3: I wonder why they didn't include the outcasts within the main quest? Posted: 16 May 2020 10:33 AM PDT I was just replaying and I know one of the biggest criticisms I see people harp on is why the Brotherhood is even in the east coast and why they aren't like the west coast. But within the dialogue and terminals, it's all made very clear as to why they are here. And I think it makes a lot of sense because you figure, if any place is going to have experimental tech and government secrets, it's probably going to the capital of the entire country, right? But I think there was a missed opportunity to have Lyon's say something like "we're trying to get this tech working (liberty prime) but when a cell of ours split after disagreements, they took a bunch of equipment including some old data we need. Then you can hear both sides, Lyon's and the outcast leader, you can directly see why they split and how they disagree with the Codex and the east coast operation. You could kill the outcasts or possibly get some to return to Lyon's BOS. Could be cool. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to tell Todd this even if I was only allowed to use this machine once. bethesda hate is starting to get annoying Posted: 16 May 2020 11:55 PM PDT its always "bethesda sucks" & "bethesda doesnt/didnt understand what fallout was about" & all this bullshit but then yall play bethesdas fallout games more than the originals so make up your mind. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 May 2020 11:22 PM PDT I remember seeing somewhere that there were tiny men in the potted plants but I can't find any images or people talking about it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 May 2020 08:39 AM PDT Edit: Did not expect so many comments and discussions. I would like to see a Fallout centred in Asia or some other continent. Would be cool to see what happened to the rest of the world. A spinoff, what do you guys say? [link] [comments] |
What should I do with $5 [PS4] Posted: 16 May 2020 08:56 PM PDT I have had the same $5 for a few months now in my Playstation Account. I have noticed 3 dlcs for Fo4 cost $5 each and I want to know if I should buy 1? And which 1? Or should I wait some more? It's not $10 so I can't buy ps+ so I don't really have any motive to use the $5, I'm not exactly going to get more funds added to my account unless it's a miracle. [link] [comments] |
