During the quest to reunite Billy with his parents, a gunner called Bullet will offer to buy him off you since ghoul children can supposedly work non-stop with no need for sustenance. And yet in the same game, the Sole Survivor can discover Initiate Clarke from the BoS has been stealing food supplies for the ferals inhabiting the bowels of Boston Airport to discourage them from seeking the surface.

also many people of the wasteland (NPC'S) seem to think ghouls do not need food.

The think tank researches many things but not fev they clearly have animal research and toxin research.
Plus big mountain would be the perfect place no towns, isolated, and they already had security. Why?

I've noticed there seems to be a lot of allusions to there being some sort of sinister power behind some of the atrocities in the wasteland. I think the children of atom have always been around and they seem to get results so maybe this has always been a thing. With all the Mothmen, Dunwitch statues, and strange moonbeast looking monsters I just want to make sure this is business as usual.

What is the state of transport in the NCR by the time of FO:NV ?

How are people travelling from the NCR to Vegas and back ? I know Bruce Isaac has a motorcycle in his room and the NCR army supposidly has trucks, but what about the civilian tourists ? Are they walking all the way from shady sands or whatever to Vegas ? Or do they take trains to the edges of NCR territory and then tag along with caravans from there ?

Also what do we know about the railway network in the NCR ?
