I decided to paint the strip. I don't paint very much and am by no means an artist but I didn't think it turned out that bad.

Engage in a fight with ghouls: "Why do you attack me? I'm one of you. Attack the smooth skin. Oh, sorry boss."

Crouch: "This old man will crawl around in the dirt to keep hidden."

Opening his inventory: "I'm sure you'll be fair and equitable, boss."

Oh man, I forgot about the stuff he says when he's your companion. There are also some passive aggressive comments and subtly calling you stupid, like: "I'm sure pissing off the 2 biggest factions Mojave was a smart move. How could it not be, it was your idea."

    This game is great.

5 Main Reasons Why Fallout New Vegas is Better than Fallout 4

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:09 AM PDT

    1. Diologue - fallout 4 attempts to create fun narratives and weird characters that are just there for fun like new vegas, but where it fails is the main plot. Forcing a backstory on the main character ruins the connection you feel to the protagonist. Additionally the minutemen feel weak and cheesy, the brotherhood of steel feel evil and genocidal, and supermutants lost the ability to form communities all of a sudden.
    2. Setting - the world looks vibrant and alive and outside of the glowing sea I found the post apocalypse setting lacking. Relying far too much on famous landmarks that were all magically unharmed further broke the game immersion for me. Additionally with as many monsters as there are boston felt cramped and chaotic. A larger area under diamond city control with different factions vying for power like in new vegas would've made for more interesting quests and a more immersive game.
    3. Factions - In fallout new vegas you find super mutants in 3 locations, in a supermutant community called jacobstown, on a mountain with a crazy ruler, and raiding nearby said mountain. In fallout 4, ghouls, mutants, robots, are all scattered around nonsensically. Everything feels cramped and instead of having super mutants taking large areas and having their own lore and politics, they are just all shooting galleries in random buildings throughout the commonwealth. This is true for all factions and breaks the game immersion. Human regions - instead of having human settlements linked by a couple main roads with caravans and mercenaries patrolling them, they are scattered everywhere and are all isolated. You'd think after 200 years the humans would at least begin to band together.
    4. Consequences - these should exist. Gone is the time where you choose between good and bad. Now you have to help the minutemen and for the most part every quest has one ending. The exceptions are the salem witch museum questline and the heist against Handcock. This game takes away any sense of gravitas and purpose and instead feels like a game where the goal is to do everything in one playthrough, something completely impossible in fallout new vegas.
    5. Settlement System - as cool as it seems at first, it is clear that far more effort went into this than into the actual plotline of the game. Building caravans and dealing with in settlement quests and helping them grow and prosper has potential, but the system feels half baked and out of place with the rest of the game.

    6. No mini games, no more caravan (it's actually fun if you learn the rules) or blackjack.

Found an old piece of art I did five and a half years ago, decided to make a new version.

    A Light Shining in Darkness

Is there any way to play the game after Battle of Hoover Damn (in a lore friendly way) ??

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 08:30 AM PDT

I finished battle of Hoover Damn but didn't even touch on any of the DLC, figured I'd work on them after finishing the main game but the game just ended... I don't even have a save right before triggering the battle.. Last save was right before Meeting Legate (NCR run).

I thought this game would have something like Fallout 3 as well..

    Honoring the Survivalist

    Posted: 19 Apr 2020 10:43 PM PDT

Whenever I play Honest Hearts I like to leave gifts for Randall Clark. This last time I left him a teddy bear, some food, coffee, and a copy of True Police Stories. A nice breakfast to "wake up" to in his afterlife and something for his boys.

His story really touches me and I want to honor this legend. The game engine kinda limits it, and it's pretty silly, but it's something I enjoy even if it's just for RP.

If you were to leave something for Randall, what would you leave? What would you want someone to leave you if you were in his place?

Nipton Broad Pit Stop is The Scariest Location in Fallout New Vegas

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:22 AM PDT

I am playing this game since 2018,and i gotta say i still havent changed my opinion.Everybody talking about Quarry Junction,Bloodborne, etc. but this place is much creepier and much harder for the newbies under level 20. Here are all kinds of enemies: jackal gangs, worker and fighter ants, legionaries, giant ants, radscorpions, giant radscorpions, radscorpion queen, etc. Idk about u but i have a huge fobia with these creatures.Imagine how is it like when u start new game, and right near goodsprings(goodsprings cemetery) there are like 20+ giant radscorpions....Scary af.And after randomly discovering nipton,i shit myself when i saw these creatures charging at me(i was still low level newbie)Last time i went there(yesterday i remembered about it) i killed all the giant radscorpions and the queen easily with the ranger sequioa and a plasma pistol from goodsprings, but for those that didnt reach level 15 at least,do not go there. You will not have any chance, you will get destroyed.Maybe the bark scorpions and the jackals wont cause you problems, but good luck fighting a giant radscorpion at level 2 with a broken small 9mm pistol which has 10 bullets.I have made this post because everyone keeps mentioning quarry junction, dead wind cavern, everyone saying "omg so hard and scary" but nobody ever mentions this locoation.even after i cleared all enemies and slayed the queen i still have nightmares with those creatures.Everybody says "omg deathclaws, omg cazadores THEY SO STRONG" but i would rather fight deathclaws and cazadores than these disgusting looking scorpions, even if they are tougher.gotta praise obsidian for not adding albino radscorpions in the game or dlcs like they did in 3.
