How does the average wastelander keep track of age?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:24 AM PDT

I've been thinking about this for awhile, and couldn't really find anything regarding this through a little research. I can understand it would be relatively simple for vault dwellers or pip-boy users to do so, via the time/date tracking interface in the pip-boy, but would the average wastelander be able to keep track of this? I know we see in-game journals tracking separate dates, and people that are aware of their age, but how? Would it be common knowledge that there's 365 days in a year? Do you think modern day calendars are printed? I'm not sure if there's a really solid answer to this, but I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on the subject. Also, apologies if this is poorly formatted, I'm a mobile user. And for those who celebrate, happy easter!

Does the NCR have it's own version of Congress? Did the War with the legion get voted on?

Size of Brotherhood of Steel (Fo4)

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 12:15 AM PDT

I'm working on a project about the size of armies within the Fallout Universe to see which has the best capabilities to conquer and maintain the post war United States. Right now, I'm seeking to gain a common idea of what the size of the Brotherhood in the Commonwealth is and within that general population, specifications of size of logistic, combat and engineering. So my questions are as follows.

    1. How many people did the Prydwen carry into the Commonwealth on its Arrival?

    2. Are there any cases of new recruits to the BoS in the commonwealth?

    3. How many vertibirds would the BoS posses (in lore, I know in game they are flimsy pieces of shit)

    4. What would be the size of the permanent crew of the Prydwen?

    5. How big would their combat numbers be?

Cheers to any one who can provide even the tiniest of details to any of these questions and I hope that you guys can enlighten me as well as any others with similar questions. Thank you all very much for your assistance and cheers!

Are the BoS able to create their own robots?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 03:46 AM PDT

Sentry bots gained a massive upgrade in terms of aesthetics and destructive power during FO4 and the robot DLC. I was wondering if the BoS is able to create war machines similar to the assaultrons, sentries, and Mr. Gutsys. In fact, I was also wondering if there are any other faction in the post-post apocalyptic wasteland who are able to create machines like those. 200 years is an awfully long time for machines like those to not run out of power, and not be turned into make shift armor.

If the BoS are able, shouldn't they field more robots as part of their patrols?

Question about the Enclave on the East cost versus the West Coast (Fallout 2 versus Fallout 3)

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 03:08 PM PDT

If the Enclave was a government installation from the remains of the pre-atomic bomb world, then why would they go all the way to the other side of the country to establish the oil rig when they could've done so on the East Coast as well? The White House and Pentagon are closer, and the majority of our US institutions stay near the DC area. If they were a shadow government of the old world, then why do people have qualms with the enclave being in the East Coast near DC in Fallout 3 when it was just as plausible for them to be on either side of the nation? It makes no sense for the whole organization to be specifically at the oil rig when there were members across the nation before the war, so why do fans hate Fallout 3's expansion upon this? Even today we have government installations across the nation- both secretive or public (Area 51)-, there would be no way that the entire government would fit into one location like the enclave did. So was the enclave just a very small faction of government officials or was it the pre-war government of the US?

Edit: sorry! Didn't realize I miss spelled "coast" in the question. Stupid iPhone 😅

What were the major settlements in Appalachia after the Great War?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:31 PM PDT

Since Wastelanders is introducing new human areas, I was curious to know which locations in Appalachia were formerly major trading hubs and settlements after the Great War (similar to Diamond City or Goodsprings) before the Scorched plague arrived and wiped out everybody.

Where do radio stations get their music?

    Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:18 PM PDT

For example, radio new vegas and diamond city radio. Gnr probably has records left over in the station from before the war, but what about the other stations?
