Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:11 AM PDT You're on the Fallout subreddit, mate. Our answer is yes. It's like asking people in a bar if you should try alcohol. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Apr 2020 05:28 PM PDT One of the new game mechanics which I'm absolutely loving is the ability to eat and drink things you find laying around without having to first collect them then hunt them down in your inventory. Purified water, cans of cram, bottles of whisky... it keeps me nourished and buffed with a level of ease that I never knew I was missing. Great. Good. But. And this is a BIG but: It draws attention in a big way to your inability to drink many substances you find laying around which you should logically be able to swig. Turpentine, rat poison, antifreeze? I want to drink them all for their exotic buffs and sweet flavour AND I CAN'T. How dare you prevent me from holding down X to drink the entire contents of a canister of Mr. Handy fuel, /u/bethesdagamestudios_? I KNOW it would make me go faster. Gene Deitch, creator of the cartoon style used in Fallout, has died at the age of 95 Posted: 17 Apr 2020 06:35 PM PDT Not related to Covid. His style is demonstrably an influence on many, many people. Much uncredited. https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/g3f1ky/gene_deitch_creator_of_the_cartoon_style_used_in/ [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Apr 2020 08:22 AM PDT I'm honestly surprised. Especially since it was in "Mostly Negative" bracket on release day. [link] [comments]
About the Institute and their leader. Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:55 PM PDT Let me get this straight. Shaun is the leader of the institute and in the possession of a nearly completely obedient army of super-human androids and can beam anyone from anywhere at anytime at his own discretion. Yet Shaun decides to not use his teleport powers and super-human androids and abandons his own parent into the wasteland to fend for themselves, desecrate their pre-war bodies with radiation and have them find him through his own enemies. All in the name of petty revenge. What the fuck Shaun? Do you enjoy playing God with your loved ones? Did you know I have a law-degree and not a degree in surviving an apocalyptic wasteland? Granted I'm on my first playthrough, but that's how I see it. Edit: I blew Shaun's head off on the roof. I thought he'd be essential, but it progressed things. Posted: 17 Apr 2020 07:46 PM PDT If you go into the bathroom when you first wake up in Vault 76, there is a sticky note on the mirror that says, "REMINDER: Don't put TP on backwards." Thought that was a funny reference to the beginning of Fallout 4 where the internet joked about the toilet paper facing the wrong way. [link] [comments]
I sketched the Courier from my latest New Vegas playthrough. Posted: 17 Apr 2020 08:08 PM PDT Character Profile:"You got lives in you, hard to kill. Storm, bullets, sand and wind, yet still you walk." —Ulysses
Skill Tags: Guns Speech (of the Terrifying Presence variety) Survival Age: 34 Sex: Female The indomitable Courier Six, who survived two shots to the head through sheer force of will. She was loosed into the wastes of Nevada by a single-minded search for vengeance. Although tempted by the Bear, the Bull, and the Billionaire along the way, she instead followed her own path—a path forged by lead and a laconic charisma. She exercised neither excess caution nor undue violence to the people who stood in her way. Through dogged determination, she liberated Vegas from the nostalgic aspirations of the east, the west, and the Lucky 38. No Gods, No Masters. [link] [comments]
I just realized what McReady means by "didn't know you could do that with mutfruit" Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:56 AM PDT It's a reference to the infamous grapefruit video, because he only says it if you sleep with him at max romance. if you don't know what the grapefruit video is click here [link] [comments]
this subreddit really needs flairs for specific Fallout games Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:59 AM PDT Delete this if you want, but please just add mandatory flairs for the games. People think that we can read their minds to know exactly which game they're playing, so they don't bother saying the name most of the time. [link] [comments]
Who else hates Vault City and thinks they don't deserve any kind of sympathy or mercy? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 02:57 PM PDT They only existed as long as they did by being the big fish in small pond and enslaving people less fortunate than them. Fuck Vault City I hope they got annexed in cannon and the NCR flooded their shitty little city state with hundreds of "unclean" or "impure" NCR citizens. [link] [comments]
Add fish in next fallout game or even a 76 update. Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:50 PM PDT Both 3, and 4 were costal states, and 76 has tons of rivers and creeks. Add fish as a food. There are people who fish in 3,4 and 76. Fish exist in a dead state in 4, and 76. Please Bethesda add fish. [link] [comments]
[FO4] Mod that changes pip boy light to normal flashligh? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 03:48 AM PDT Kinda like the flashlight of the power armor but you dont have to be in power armor [link] [comments]
Why do people in Fallout write down their personal diaries on a workplace terminal? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:56 PM PDT I just realized that from Fallout 3 onwards, in 90% of the office terminals in the cities there are recorded personal notes of people who write using bad words, plan methods to impress their crushes or revenge towards their colleagues. And I underline, personal documents written in the workplace, not official reports. This should be a method to tell the lore of the game, but it doesn't make any sense: it is as if in reality I wanted to write a personal diary on a computer in my office, risking to be fired. NV: Half of my reputation is just gone, please help! Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:27 PM PDT I just checked the "General" tab in my pip boy and half of my faction rep is gone. All I have left in that tab is Boomers, Followers of the Apocalypse, Freeside, Goodsprings, Novac, Strip, and White Glove Society. My NCR, Legion, Brotherhood, and some other reputations are missing and I don't know why. I looked it up and somebody said it might be caused by a glitch that can be triggered by repairing faction armor while wearing it. I think this could be it as I just completed Beyond the Beef and I used white glove attire to sneak through the Ultra Luxe. I've never encountered this in all of my time of playing New Vegas, so I would appreciate any help I can get. Unfortunately I overwrote my previous save so I can't just go back to fix this. [FO4 spoilers] The saddest fight :( Posted: 17 Apr 2020 01:41 PM PDT I was in the Institute murdering SYnths and I wanted to play with the gorillas, but instead they attacked me :( I had to shoot their arms to cripple and it was so sad watching these proud beasts hobble about while I killed their brethren To avenge them I spawned gorillas to attack some raiders I found and this time they won Discuss [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Apr 2020 01:18 AM PDT I recently finished fo3 i am about to play fnv. IS FNV a lot better? How is it better? On a scale of 1-10 how much better is fnv than fo3? i also really enjoued fo3 and i want to know more about fnv [link] [comments]
Advice for my third playthrough Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:59 AM PDT So on my first play through I did a good guy NCR sniper, which was fun. On my second playthrough I wanted something different, but it ended up very similar, which was a little boring. Now I'm starting my third and was thinking about doing a bandit Caesars character. What'd you guys think? I want to get as far from my usual play style as possible. [link] [comments]
“War never changes” - Chronic (?) Posted: 18 Apr 2020 12:43 AM PDT I've seen people discussing if various fallout games are worth playing in 2020. So I took I this as an opportunity to narrate why I think New Vegas Absolutely is worth it and will be for years to come. Having had played other 2 fallout titles, I was excited to play New Vegas knowing the fame it has. I wanted to complete my gameplay as much as I could to not miss a single thing, as far as I could myself to... Time came to battle for Hoover Dam, I hesitated for a bit when fighting for an independent New Vegas due to my relation with the NCR, I helped camp McCarran and learnt about Bitter Springs but came to be clear of my choice to not let the NCR take over the wasteland. I walked into the Hoover with Cass, and my upgraded ED-E, I struggled through the battlefield; Maria in my right hand ,as I wanted to rescue Benny at the fort yet wasn't able to , for some reason I decided to take vengeance on the Legion for Benny, right outside the offices, I was filled with excitement as I watched a B-29 bombarder fly across the sky. Done what I had to do in the control room, next was the fort. Seconds after getting out heading to the fort, a vertibird was followed by the remnants, of which Cannibal Johnson was the only one to follow me inside the fort. Time came to speak to legate linus, speech maxes out I convinced to retire to the East. General Oliver was dealt with, and close to 60 hours of gameplay, I was facing the ending cards. It was bluntly astonishing to watch every foe I had met in the Mojave, thankfully, face what seemed a happy ending, rally made me feel accomplished. Tabitha, Rex, Lilly, Goodsprings... I didn't quite understand why I was so happy to be told such things happened, or why I cared so much. New Vegas made me empathize as I had never before in a Fallout Game (or any game in general) with its characters. I had the nice feeling of how your choices affect your reputation, chain of events and ultimately the destiny of New Vegas. I don't know if anyone has read so far and if someone did I can't but imagine what it made y'all think or/and hopefully feel but I really wanted to express the epic ness this game made me feel :) TLDR; Yes it is worth it to play any Fallout this year and it will be for years to come. Thought I’d share my collection of loot over the years! Posted: 17 Apr 2020 06:18 AM PDT With some extra time on my hands decided to put together my Fallout collection items! Would love to know if there's some essential things I'm missing and need to add! I really want the Pip Boy replica but they're super expensive! The backpack is probably my favourite item, and of course my vault suit. Would be great to see everyone else's loot! [link] [comments]
Fallout New Vegas question BoS Posted: 18 Apr 2020 04:26 AM PDT Is it possible to not destroy BoS during the House Always Wins or Side Bets or Render Unto Caesar.I know that you can offer truce when siding with NCR.But my question is is it possible to not destroy them when siding with other factions [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:26 PM PDT I tried adding stuff to my vending machines today, and it says that player vending is disabled. I then tried to buy from someone else's ending machine and it still said that player vending was disabled. Anyone know why this could be/how I can fix it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Apr 2020 08:56 AM PDT During my ongoing replay of Fallout 3, I recently started doing the Pitt. I forgot just how small it actually is. That said, I've also been noticing a lot of landmarks I didn't remember from the last time, such as Point State Park and the Monongahela Incline. So, of course, I went and poked around in the GECK to see what else was maybe hidden by draw distance/fog. I was surprised to see that a lot the area east of the fence before the bridge leading into the Pitt actually has ground textures that are normally placed under roads. This goes all the way to the top of the cliffs. I have zero confirmation, but to me it looks like this area was originally going to be accessible. Just figured I'd point that interesting fact out. Can I start FO76 with Wastelanders? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:32 PM PDT I played FO4 and loved it, but I stayed away from FO76 because of the bad reviews. I'm seeing that Wastelanders has potentially saved 76, but I had seen someone state (on here I think) that you can't play Wastelanders content until you're level 20. Is that true? If so, am I going to hate getting to level 20 if it's the original FO76 that was so bad? [link] [comments]
Responders pump action shotgun. Posted: 18 Apr 2020 03:59 AM PDT I got the skin in title but when applied the handle is blue and barrel red. Why can't I change colors like it shows in store. Thanks [link] [comments] |
