(BIG SPOILER) Fun fact about Danse's betrayal quest Posted: 10 Apr 2020 01:17 PM PDT Honestly feel dumb for not noticing all the times I've completed the quest (always had high charisma) , there is an abundance of grape mentats in the bunker at least 3 in total, they are placed before you meet Danse and in the room he is hiding in. Nice the developers knew some people would have low stats and would panic over not being able to save him lol. [link] [comments] |
I finally get to play New Vegas for the first time Posted: 11 Apr 2020 02:35 AM PDT All I can say is that this game FIRE. I can feel that the story is godly well written and love every single minute delving into it. Always hear that this game is the best in the franchise and now I couldn't help but agree more. Anyone else take Potshots at random perched birds in Fallout? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 06:23 PM PDT I might sound a little crazy for doing this lol. You ever just take pot shots at birds when you get a bit bored? Just those birds perched in different places. Sometimes I just wanna waste a bullet or two when I having nothing else to do but really just explore. Fun Fact if you didn't know, In New Vegas you actually get 1 single XP point for killing a bird. Played Fallout 4 for the first time and I got a question about the series. Posted: 10 Apr 2020 08:07 PM PDT I bought fallout 4 in March and it is my first fallout game. I finished the game with Minute Men yesterday and was kind of disappointed in the game. I like the main story but after playing almost a month of the game I could've finished it in like a week if didn't waste times with settlements and put more time in the main quest. Npcs were boring, only characters I cared for were nick v(since he could unlock terminals) and hancock. The whole game was go here and clear this area and then comeback here to get some caps. Then repeat. The factions were boring, the railroad felt like the most useless group of people ever in a post-apocalyptic world. Like who the hell cares about freeing robots from a robot making factory. Rating 6/10 But I would like to ask the fallout community what makes Fallout New Vegas the best out of the series and how does it differ from Fallout 4? [link] [comments] |
There's a clear reason for the Diamond City Surplus owner's paranoia. Posted: 10 Apr 2020 08:53 PM PDT Every single time I pass by the store, two things always happen. The shopkeeper expresses an irrational fear of synths, and sits around reading the Publick Occurrences, unlike all of the other shopkeepers. Others will be nervous to talk about the institute, and will occasionally read at the Dugout inn after hours, but only Myrna will constantly do these things, especially reading Publick Occurrences. If you've read the paper in game, you'll quickly realize that Mayor McDonough is right about one thing about the newspaper: it's filled with fear mongering revolving around synths. The shopkeeper is constantly taking in information about Synths, and therefore, lives in constant fear of them (or possibly the other way around). I thought this was a pretty neat detail, and I had overlooked it quite a few times. [link] [comments] |

The SAFE test from Covenant in Fallout 4 kinda sucks Posted: 11 Apr 2020 12:02 AM PDT I think it kinda sucks that no matters how you answer any of the SAFE test questions your asked, your still able to pass and be allowed access into Covenant. The one thing I wish is that if you answer wrongly or don't please Swanson you wouldn't be allowed access into the settlement. Or if you answer wrongly you'd be accused of being a synth (which is what the SAFE test was made for) and you'd be attacked or knocked out. You'd wake up in Dr Chambers facility and be tortured or locked up. But if you have high enough charisma you could persuade or prove your not a synth and be let free. I think it would add a bit more content or different endings to Human Error (kind of like how the Combat Zone originally wasn't suppose to be just a raider shooting gallery). Just my two cents. Giving headshot to crucified victims in NV is good or not? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 12:24 AM PDT I always kill those victims, that were crucified by the Legion, with a headshot if I can't release them. Though I think this can end their suffer, should I just walk away and let them keep hanging on the cross? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Apr 2020 05:05 PM PDT In lockdown and today I decided was as good a day as any to get stuck into Fallout 76. So far I am enjoying the game despite reading a lot of negative reviews before I got the game. However that's not what has been the highlight for me, for me the highlight was meeting new players, when I first encountered a player I thought "uh oh here we go" and was expecting some sort of GTA online encounter and to be blasted away. Instead I was beckoned to follow this player so I thought why not nothing ventured nothing gained, over the course of 10 minutes this player gifted me Weapons, stimpaks and armour probably when they saw how lowly ranked I was. About 30 mins later a different player gifted me Plans? Schematics? Something for crafting anyway, I find it astounding that diving into an online game that 3 hours of playing later I hadn't been killed by a player for their amusement. I appreciate and find it refreshing that the fallout gamers I have encountered would rather help out a newbie like myself rather than kill for sport. Had it gone the other way and I was being used for target practice I probably would have gotten disheartened and bored, on the contrary I'm looking forward to logging on tomorrow to continue my progress. How come Bethesda never did anything with Quincy? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 06:04 PM PDT We are told early on about the Quincy massacre and we see how it affected the survivors but especially Preston in particular. Yet the Minutemen never have a quest to retake it and you can just go there and do it on your own. At the very least retaking it could have been Preston's companion quest with the reward being Quincy becoming a settlement. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 04:06 AM PDT So I gave Strong a pipe pistol but no ammo and he's somehow able to use this gun. According to the wiki he shouldn't be so is this a bug or something? [link] [comments] |
An interesting lore question considering the subject of ghouls and ferals. Posted: 11 Apr 2020 01:03 AM PDT So ghouls in general were created from the bombs due to the extreme radiation they faced from the bombs. now considering the world before the war, is it possible there were ghouls before the war? everything in the world was basically run in some way by nuclear fusion or something like that. this would obviously happen to everyday factory workers and unknowing test subjects. in Fallout 4 there is a terminal i believe found in sanctuary that states that the energy company is not responsible for deaths or sickness due to the nuclear reactor in houses. similarly when a car explodes in the game there's a huge burst of radiation which i'm assuming in the world cars have exploded exposing people to radiation. also think of all the nuclear waste sites and random nuclear barrels and trucks going around. Nuka cola i believe use some sort of nuclear material to make the drink, especially with quantum. all of this being said, is it possible regular ghouls or feral ghouls existed pre-war? I just bought Fallout 2, has anyone else played? Posted: 10 Apr 2020 05:03 PM PDT I'm very happy, I bought Fallout 2! I'm about to play, what does everyone else think about this game? Does it trump 4 or 76? I personally loved watching my friend play and listening to the story, but I haven't gotten into the gameplay itself. It seems more interesting than New Vegas, but here's to hoping that I like the combat more. [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to get hit by stray bullets? (Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas/Fallout 4) Posted: 10 Apr 2020 07:01 PM PDT I was playing New Vegas recently and I was witnessing a gunfight between NCR and Legion soldiers, and I heard a bunch of bullets wizzing by me as well as striking the rocks around me. Now I've been hurt by stray grenades and fireballs in the past, but I've never been damaged by a stray bullet. Is it possible, or does the game not register any neutral/friendly fire that hits the player? [link] [comments] |
Is the "Animerace Nanakochan" mod on ps4? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 04:39 AM PDT I was thinking of buying the game on ps4, and I find this mod that transforms the female characters in anime girls. Can I install the mod on ps4? [link] [comments] |
13 year time limit on Fallout 1? Posted: 11 Apr 2020 04:25 AM PDT I'm really curious about what happens after 13 in-game years in Fallout 1. I've seen that the game automatically ends after 13 years in Fallout 2 due to game engine limitations. But what happens in the first Fallout game after 13 in-game years? Both of these games were probably made with the same engine so the same limitations would apply. Does a cutscene play like in 2, does the player character just die, or does the game crash or corrupt your save file? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 03:16 AM PDT I think a good story could come from a raider tribes perspective. Revolving around a younger member of the tribe. They are low on resources and the slowly expanding Enclave, patrol of Brotherhood of Steel knights, and wasteland creatures threaten to eliminate the tribe. So the tribe must resort to pillaging as a means of acquiring large sums of resources fast. However the more raids you perform, the more loot you have, and/or the larger your tribe becomes then the more attention you draw to yourself reflecting in smarter enemy defenses and attacks. You have freedom in who you attack, and freedom in choosing to remain with your tribe or leaving your roots behind. The moral dilemma could come from choosing to abandon your family for a better life or stay and decide to raid whoever you can. I dont think it would work well as a DLC unless its seperate from the main game. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Apr 2020 03:13 AM PDT I recently started a survival mode game and I am wondering if there is any perks to help with travelling or if I should use a companion to help carry stuff. I have trouble carrying high level weapons back to my settlement to upgrade. (I use the local leader perk and have a supply line to most of my settlements) Should I be checking which junk items i pick up, if so which ones should I get? [link] [comments] |
Fallout 3: I'm considering removing weapon degradation from the game Posted: 11 Apr 2020 03:04 AM PDT After having finished the Fallout 3 story campaign (barring the final quest) and a sizeable amount of side-content, I feel that the weapon degradation system considerably slows down the game. I constantly thrash enemy weapons to increase the condition of mine by a percent or two and to my knowledge there's no way to know if your repair skill is high enough for a gun without entering the repair menu (and having compatible gear in your inventory to use as parts). Just by removing the degradation wouldn't trivialize the difficulty since the new weapons are essentially always well under 100% in condition and I haven't even encountered merchants who can fully fix items. I plan to leave the armor (apparel) system as-it-is for balance reasons (I don't necessarily ever replace my power armor, at least not with the core game gear) — this mod could suffice. I'm also preparing for extremely challenging DLC (I always was most interested in the Point Lookout). [link] [comments] |
Nuka World and Far Harbor Tips Posted: 11 Apr 2020 01:58 AM PDT having completed the main story, I've decided to get started on the dlc - Nuka World and Far Harbor. Any interesting things to look out for? Also, best ways to kill Fog Crawlers? [link] [comments] |
