Fallout Lore | How do the securitrons in New Vegas compare to the Sentry Bot, and Assaultron from 4 and 76? Obviously a Securitron is stronger than an eyebot, protectron etc... But how do these three units compare?

But how do these three units compare? I find it odd that House can stave off such big nations with only securitrons if these two military robots are avalanche.

Why BOS uses Liberty Prime that is honestly piece of clunky mess instead of something more mobile and higher tech?

I'm comparing it to full Automatron DLC tech that can make some of the most terryfying robots that can exist in Fallout 4. Yet they use Liberty Prime that is only capable of throwing 3x yield mini nuke(missile launcher for sentry bots), eye laser(like Assultron droid) and stomping on the ground.

While a top of the top Sentry Bot would've something like a Gatling Gun, another one or close range weapon, Missile Launcher, tesla field electrifying enemies. It's also smaller, more mobile and all around more useful imo. Make that like 4 to match weight/size and I think it would be better to use Sentry Bots.

Minutemen also had Sarge sentry bot that can obliterate unsuspecing generals in Castle, or that prototype robot when sneaking upon insititue from pipes.

For all their high tech, they really seem to resist idea of using something better imo.

Are T-45 Conversion Packs things that exist?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 01:13 AM PDT

I was scrolling through the wiki, as one does, when I found myself on the T-60 PA page. At that point, I discovered something called a T-45 conversion pack. Rigourous searches returned no results. Does anyone know if these are actually mentioned in the series, or if they are even canon? Of course, if they are, I'd love to know the lore. Thanks.

How does volunteering work in Caesar's Legion?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:29 AM PDT

How does someone just volunteer to join the Legion's Army? Do they even accept volunteers, or do they have to be conquered conscripts? Is there an initiation trial? Do they have to first go through years of brainwashing? Maybe performance in the arena plays a vital role in determining their rank? I'm interested in anybody else's ideas.

The Courier in Fallout: New Vegas isn't really a legionnaire - the Courier is far more than that really. The Courier is a hired agent to do the bidding of Caesar, under threat of violence for disobedience, but isn't limited to a base of operations like a common Legion soldier. I guess the Courier is more likely to qualify as a Frumentarii, but I suppose a less capable Courier could only qualify as a recruit.
