I came up with an Idea for a Fallout 5 set in New York Posted: 18 Feb 2021 06:02 PM PST SETTING Location: New York and New Jersey Date: 2298 OPENING Ron Perlman Narroraton followed by, You wake up in a bright room a hospital room a doctor with a Vault Insignia on her Coat walks up to you "easy now ,you fell pretty hard back there, I just have to take some tests to make sure your ok mentally" she then asks you your name and gives you paperwork to file(Special Stats) and sends you to the bathroom to freshen up(appearance). You are a Citizen of Union City made up from the Dwellers of Vault 2 in Central Park(you might have some of your family like a brother, sister maybe mother to meet in the city) you fell while walking to the Overseers office to discuss a job he wanted you to do. You then go to the Overseer's office and talk with him where he gives you a letter to deliver to the Commander of the Republic of New York's Army General Marshall at Fort Liberty, thus you begin your journey.(also you'd be able to choose from 3 voices for your character depending on the Gender or just go no voice at all like NV or FO3) FACTIONS Republic of New York: Originating from Staten Island the Republic of New York was founded in 2197 by John Rockefeller the descendant of Legendary New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller. The Republic has three branches of Government the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, the Congress consists of the House of Representatives which elects a Prime Minister and the Senate. The Republic has expanded as far east as Cleveland, as far north as Syracuse, as far west as Waterbury(CT), and as far South as Trenton(NJ). The Republic has one of the biggest Post War populations with 3 million citizens, the Republic despite having control over most of NYC has no control of either Manhattan or the Bronx(the ladder due to an irradiated G.E.C.K ) the Republic is looking to expand into Manhattan. They are lead by President Dixon Rockefeller of the Federalists The Coalition:(This one is a bit Outlandish to say the least) The Coalition is a Coalition of two Factions working together to beat the Republic those being the Long Island Separatists and the Loyalists. Through the Factions main quest you will have a choice to either try and hold the Coalition together or break it apart so I'll go into the other factions separately. The Loyalists: After the Great War what's left of the British Government went underground known as the Queens Guard they emerged in Plymouth in 2215 they quickly took control of most of Southern England by 2235, in 2250 they began a campaign to take back London the campaign was led by 34 year old General Cromwell. Cromwell led the Guard to many victories however in 2062 in the 12th year of the campaign Cromwell order a group of Londoners shot for "resisting arrest" infuriated the Prime Minister had Cromwell suspended and sent to prison, however many of Cromwell's men launched a mutiny breaking Cromwell out of Prison and attempting a Coup. The Coup failed so Cromwell and his men were put on a boat set for Africa where they'd be thrown out into the wastes to fend for themselves. Cromwell and his men managed to take control of the boat of the coast of France but none of them knew how to drive the boat so the boat was adrift for 2 months before it landed in Halifax in the year 2263 Cromwell and his men left the boat and made it to Quebec where the found the Republic of Quebec otherwise known as the Quebecois, they traveled through Quebec ending up in the Republic of Canada which was amidst Rockefellers War, a war to control Niagara which ended in a peace deal allowing both limited control of Niagara. In the ROC they once again attempted to take control this time of a small town Cromwell and his men were sent to Prison in Ronto before escaping to the RNY in 2267, they laid low for awhile before making it to New York City in 2270 where they began plotting to make Manhattan a staging post to Invade England and take back control. "\Note Cromwell is Insane and most know his plan won't work however they stick by him due to Loyalty, but many of his Lieutenant's wish to usurp power and set up a Micro State in Manhattan rather than Invade Britain"* The Long Island Separatists:When Samuel Rockefeller(Dixon's Father) won the 2260 election he made it clear that he wanted to take control of Niagara for it's resources and water, and he did only problem was he put more and more money into it this lead to economic downturn in the previous moneymaking State of Long Island, when Rockefeller retired in 2275 and the Agrarian Labor party took control of Government beating the Federalists and Conservatives the discontent that had been brewing in Long Island subsided however while the President was Agrarian Congress and the Prime Minister were not this ended up stopping the President from making any meaningful change in the Agrarian State. In 2280 the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant a pre war Power Plant blew mainly due to an attempt by the Governor of Long Island to get the Power Plant running again, the explosion and ensuing Radiation destroyed much farmland worsening the situation in Long Island until it boiled over in the year 2287 a group of Long Island Nationalists seized control of Hempstead Long Island and Declaring Independence. The war for Independence actually went well until about 2293 when General Marshall came out of retirement in 2294 the city of Montauk which hadn't been in L.I.S hands since the beginning of the war fell. By 2295 the L.I.S was in trouble and losing the war, so they made an alliance with the Loyalists since then not much has changed but the L.I.S has held off the RNY causing a war of Attrition. Union City: Serving as an Independent ending of sorts you can choose to side with your home of Union CIty by swaying convincing the one of the Overseer Candidates to negotiate with the RNY and take control of Manhattan, MECHANICS Most of the Mechanics from Fallout 4 would be brought back with you having to buy property to build a settlement on. But Karma and Faction Reputation would make a return as well as a Fallout New Vegas dialogue system and interface. GUILDS Guilds would be(like Elder Scrolls Guilds) Minor Factions with their own quest line The Syndicate: The Syndicate is a group of 3 mod families the Maginetes, O'hanrahans, and Cubanos that have great influence over New York through various means such as Payed off Politicians, a Casino, Gun Running, ect. The Bounty Hunters Guild: Pretty much just a Bounty Hunters Guild The Knights Templar: The Templar are a secret Society dating back Centuries. They are a Catholic faction as to point out to the fact that Pre War religions like Catholicism are popular in New York. The Templar are in a state of constant war with the Children of the Garden. The Templar are Jesuits and are sworn to protect all Human and Mutant life. But they have a dark society infiltrated their ranks known as the Dark Church The Children of the Garden: The Children of the Garden are a cult who broke away from the diocese of New York when they went insane exploring the Bronx. The Bronx was home to the testing cite of the G.E.C.K as a public exhibition in the Botanical Gardens, due to being hit by a bomb the Bronx is a jungle with mutated Animals coming from the Zoo. The Children are Insane and will kill most who come into their Sanctuary. DLC Fallout 5: Lovecraft Country, Taking Place in Connecticut this DLC would focus on Lovecraftian demons and monsters that lurk and terrorize South Western CT. Fallout 5: Niagara, Someone is brewing Tensions between the RNY and ROC will you help them start the 2nd Rockefeller war or avoid the war entirely? Fallout 5: Atlantic Blues, taking place in the Eastern Vegas of Atlantica the DLC would be about the conflict between the Atlantic Congress Revolution and the ruling Atlanticos Family Also I'm aware that this isn't the best, but I just used some Ideas that came to mind and this is what I got. Am I the only one who really wants the option to become a ghoul in the next fallout? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 07:28 AM PST Not at the start just an option throughout the game [link] [comments] |
Do y'all think the Enclave should come back? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 12:36 PM PST I believe that maybe a small group of them could have left California to find a new Enclave group in the deep south like Florida or Louisiana. You could have them as a main faction that you could side with till the end. This is just my opinion. [link] [comments] |
Faults would be a nice addition to character creation as an antithesis to perks. Posted: 19 Feb 2021 01:04 AM PST Faults would be in direct competition to perks, when creating a character you could choose any number of faults to gain extra perk points or gain a special point per X amount of Faults. Faults would impede your character with a permanent negative attribute with the possibility to work some of them off. Things like phobias, medical problems or irrational fears for example. Examples could be hydrophobia in which whenever you enter water large enough to swim in you gain -1 END and move as if you're overencumbered or Acrophobia (fear of heights) which whenever you're high above ground you gain -1 AGL and your vision blurs when bearing any high ledge. As for medical faults things like clubbed feet, eating disorders or heck even diabetes could be a valid threat. Each one effecting you differently for example: diabetes in a survival mode you can't eat too many sugary foods or too little sugary foods or you go into diabetic shock and lose health plus SPECIAL or things like clubbed feet make your sprinting take more AP and reduce your speed by 15%. Now you can get over certain faults as sometimes facing a fear is the best way to beat it. So for you Hydrophobic characters eventually with enough painful swimming and fighting aquatic enemies you'll recover from your fear or for cases where you're afraid of certain enemy types the more you face them with negative stats the higher likelihood of getting over your fears. The process would by no means be short though you would have to commit to getting rid of your problems which may take several in game days or weeks. But not all problems can be solved by facing them, take medical Faults how do you get rid of those? Implants and bionic upgrades! Have a speech impediment? Get a custom built left frontal lobe upgrade and say goodbye to that long sustained brain damage. Got a twisted spine? Robo spines are only an auto doc away! Clubbed feet? Who needs real feet when you could have robot legs! These upgrades would fix permanent Faults for a heavy cost either in resources, currency or would take an additional tole that would be a lesser of 2 evils. Like robo legs sure they fixed your twisted knees but now you take more damage from pulse weapons and can't wear leg armour, this would also trade off as your legs can now be armour plated, repaired to gain health and may allow you to mod them in special ways. We have many perks that allow us to become super gods but with Faults not only do character become more interesting but also more long term build wise. Constantly trading perks and survival tactis to cater to your Faults would make Fallout feel more personal. That or you could create hideous abominations who are crippled in most ways and scared of everything yet for some reason can swing a baseball bat like it's a toothpick and carry 500 pounds. Because remember: When you work with Vault-Tec Faults are only the first stepping block to success! [link] [comments] |
I'm falling in love with New Vegas all over again Posted: 18 Feb 2021 06:33 PM PST I live in Texas, and as many of you may know we have received unprecedented amounts of winter weather lately. Well being snowed in and without my pc, the old console favorites have been getting work! I just started my thousandth playthrough of New Vegas, and it's like my old high school crush and I just got back together! The Courier stepped out of Doc's house and it all came flooding back. The golden honey voice of Mr. New Vegas, the rugged, post-apocalyptic vibes, it's all so wonderfully woven together! Here's to another month of my life being spent on this gem of a game! Killed Shaun after joining Institute because i regretted joining them Was it a dumb thing to do? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 01:48 PM PST |
So does 4 bring back 3's fun random encounters/world changing over time? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 03:44 AM PST Stuff like the Firelance/Random Merchants random encounters or seeing how the Enclave were establishing more of a foothold in the wasteland with checkpoints/research outposts was a really cool and feature of Fallout 3. By Random Encounters, I mean stuff that can repeat, like say, running into a random squad of BOS forces on the road regardless of your standing with them or Wastelanders fighting raiders/creatures that are random and can repeat. (As opposed to just "Secret" encounters that just play once and never again.) I know the BOS bring in their airship a little bit into the game. [link] [comments] |
Were can I get the uncensored version of fallout 1 & 2 at? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 02:22 PM PST Im gonna build a PC. The first games I want to get are fallout 1 & 2, but I've heard some of them have censorship. Were is a place I can just buy them uncensored? [link] [comments] |
Fallout New Vegas favorite energy weapons Posted: 19 Feb 2021 01:30 AM PST Hello to all walkers of the Mojave, I finally got a crash fix working for New Vegas and I'm loving replaying it. I decided to do an Energy Weapons run this time around and I was just wondering what ones you guys think are best by the end of the game? My end game weapons will be Pew Pew, Tri Beam Laser Rifle GRA, Holo Rifle, a Tesla Cannon (probably Elijah's, haven't decided yet) and a Gauss Rifle. Looking forward to hear what you guys think are best [link] [comments] |
What are some generally sad stories you have found out in the wasteland. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 07:57 PM PST I'm talking about things like the run away in the ranger cabin in fallout 4 but it can be from any fallout. [link] [comments] |

The next Fallout game needs to have a vendor modding system. Posted: 19 Feb 2021 03:12 AM PST If you dont have enough materials to mod a weapon or a armor piece, you could use a vendor to mod it, for a price, of course [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:15 PM PST For extra reference it sometimes pops up at random when exploring the mojave; or perhaps more exclusively during the Sierra Madre DLC. Kinda haunting. I'd post a link for better reference but apparently that's not allowed. [link] [comments] |
[Fallout 4] Fresh start or continue my old save? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 02:11 AM PST I haven't played F4 in a few months and im wondering if I should just continue my current playthrough or start a new one (I started this character in February 2019 and still havent finished the main quest lol) im level 30. Currently redownloading the game there's also the matter of doing everything again to get to level 10 im lost [link] [comments] |
Fallout 4: perfect playthrough? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 01:20 AM PST Maybe you can relate, maybe it's a me thing, but in most games, I am obsessed with figuring out the perfect playthrough. For me, perfect means the most logical, most efficient sequence of quests/locations. Exploring blindly is fun, but nothing gives me more satisfaction than exploring an area several quests lead me to, it makes me feel like I have a reason to be there. I'd hate to clear an area, only to have to come back later just because a quest I was unaware of leads me there. Does it make sense? Anyhow, I love Fallout 4 but find the vast size of the map and how truly open the world is to be a bit overwhelming. Where do I go after Sanctuary Hill? In which order do I do the faction quest lines? When is a good point to head to Diamond City? Can I explore Lexington and Boston at random, or is it better to wait until some quests lead me there? And so on and so forth. Soooo... What's your perfect playthrough! [link] [comments] |
Any good player homes in FNV aside from the lucky 38? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 01:38 PM PST I'm doing an experiment of which are great player homes during the start of the game [link] [comments] |

[Possible Spoilers] Found a random starcore in a tato plant at Abernathy Farm?? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 04:31 AM PST So I had just started the Nuka World DLC, and after I had gotten done with talking to all the raider faction leaders, I left before talking with Porter Gage. I went to Abernathy Farm to get it decked out in drip but I saw that one of the tato plants were glowing red. I went over and found a star core just sitting in it. Pretty cool that I got one before even going to any of the park areas, but why in a tato plant at Abernathy? Does anyone have any plausible reasonings or ideas as to why? [link] [comments] |
Fallout 4 silent protagonist mod on series x Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:58 PM PST It works perfectly until I go to talk to ellie to start far harbor. I put it last in the load order as it suggested. Am I missing something? [link] [comments] |

What places other than America do you want to see in the Fallout timeline? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 09:35 PM PST I would love to know which other countries were having some of the success america has post-war. What's going on in Australia? Is it burnt to a crisp, is it overrun by mutants of a different making, is it truly just the world of Mad Max and Fallout _ is _Mad Max's America? Theres things I'd love to know but I appreciate us n0t being allowed to see. And example of this can be taken from what is attributed to the success of Fury Road: unanswered questions generate interest. So while I would love to know, I also accept not knowing as good because it keeps my imagination running wild with ideas of the world beyond the major players in the last war. Do you think a global economy would ever resurface? What would the new world be like? Similar to now or a reinvarnation of savage colonialist conquests? Id live to see middle europe, south africa, northern europe, asia and new zealand too. A weird part of me imagines certain places escaping out of pure luck. But wierdly as Veronica claims in NV, I would just want to see how people have adapted to living in this new world, but all over the world. Side note: how does international travel go these days? Sorry for undoubtedly plenty of spelling and gramatical errors, I am on my mobile and [link] [comments] |
