Just finished it. My humble opinion on FNV Posted: 21 Feb 2020 05:08 AM PST [Long post, review of sorts] Compared to Fallout 3, New Vegas is simply on a different level, they cannot be compared to each other. FO3 served to spread the "news" to a wider world, and New Vegas capitalized on it and created perhaps the greatest RPG game I've ever played - and this is after I extensively played some of the top RPG classics of early 2000s, including FO3. The sheer number of choices I have at my disposal simply discourages me from looking them up online for me pick the most optimal route I should take. This to me felt especially unique in today's world of connectivity where every secret and hidden features are laid out for everyone to read online. Unless you strictly randomize the game, the best, original and natural variety of choices are available in Fallout New Vegas, all the way from 2011. The stories, especially in the DLCs, are extremely heartbreaking, but through this, this game gives the player a wide variety of emotions and opinions to salvage through. And sometimes they are surprisingly fun at times. I've been through dozens of expansion packs and DLCs in my RPG gaming experience, but honestly this is how they should be made - expand the universe, connect the protagonist with with all of them while also providing them with a story truly worthy of experiencing. BTW Ulysses was such a big fan of mine, I was able to manipulate his feeble mind into backing down and not bomb any of the locations ;) PS: Who creates a whole new card game that realistically, not many people will play in the actual game? PPS: Thanks to everyone in the subreddit who helped me with this game. EDIT: Now I am finally "ready" for FO4 lmao [link] [comments]
Where is a good non-modded player home that isn't Novac, Lucky 38? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:09 AM PST I want to change things up on some of my characters, as in a role play scenario, it is good to have some variety and base your character out of a place more suitable. Does anyone have a good suggestions for some non-modded player homes that isn't the room at Novac or the Lucky 38. I know of the casino suites that you get from gambling, can these be used as player home or does your ability to live they expire? (obviously you get banned eventually, but I mean if you stop gambling there) Vault 21 is where I am going to live in my Vault dweller character, although it involves shit loads of loading screens. (This question isn't just about my vault character, I have many characters so all suggestions welcome) Faction safehouses are also a good idea, but how safe is the gear there? does the NPC take items? Places like the shack near the Yangzte memorial, does anyone use that? does gear safely store or just in ammo boxes? Any ideas or suggestions welcome. Thanks. EDIT: Some of the characters I have, so if anyone has a specific suggestions for these specific characters that will also be perfect. BoS Paladin Enclave Trooper NCR Ranger NCR Trooper Legion Frumentari A Survivalist A Mechanist style character A Science and engineer guy who sides with house (Will probably stay at Lucky 38 for obvious reasons) A Vault Boy character (probably a few more but these are the main ones) [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Feb 2020 06:28 AM PST I'm doing the mission "Strike Up The Band" and the mission marker is leading to the Residential District, but once I go there, I have no mission marker. When I recruited him, he also wasn't there, but I triggered the dialogue by sitting down beside him. He's not at the fountain either. All help is appreciated l. [link] [comments]

A white leg found the survivalist rifle for me Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:42 AM PST Was doing the quest where you have to either kill the white legs or steal their war totems. Told waking cloud to wait whilst I snuck in. Heard her being shot at so ran back to her and killed the white leg that was attacking her. Checked his corpse and to my complete surprise he had the survivalist rifle on him. Guessing he came across it as he was searching for us and picked it up? Didn't realise I was near where the rifle is supposed to be. Or maybe just a bug? [link] [comments]

is it normal to feel like your character is running over speed bumps in first person? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 07:08 PM PST kind of hard to explain. feels like i'm doing a little hop every 4-5 steps. i just modded my game using rika's guide and can't remember if it was like this in vanilla. Considering a jsawyer playthrough. Any insight/advice? Posted: 20 Feb 2020 12:26 PM PST Just finished a hardcore cowboy playthrough - almost exclusively used weapons covered with the cowboy perk - bugfix and quality of life mods only. Toward the end I heard about jsawyer's mod and read what I could about it. The mechanical differences are apparent but I haven't seen much from folks playing it and discussing specific impacts on gameplay. Just wondering if anyone that's played could share any experiences they weren't expecting in their playthrough? Places where the mechanics really changed how it had to be played? What type of character you built and how it fared in different parts of the wasteland? Perks you found particularly useful? [link] [comments] |
